From a business standpoint of growth, Caitlin needs to be on that team. She wouldn't be the best player on the roster but she will bring eyes which the advertisers love. The market has spoken!

Since 2000, three players taken No. 1 in the WNBA draft in an Olympic year were named to the U.S. team: UConn's Diana Taurasi (2004), Tennessee's Candace Parker (2008) and UConn's Breanna Stewart (2016).
    Funny no one says that.

100%. Playing for the love of the game is great but marketing is how you get paid. Its exactly what they were asking for for the longest time. They airball this one.

Nobody is forgetting to shot their second free throw to get on somebody on D. That's how much they want to stop her.

Men's and women's basketball is known around the world now anyway. And other countries have leagues of their own . So it's not exactly the same as it was in 92.

Here is an idea that came to me after reading some comments that stated, wait until next year when Juju and Paige arrive. When that happens, we will have a perfect comparison of how Rookie JuJu a Black young women is treated by those oh so tough WMBA players. Will we see her scrutinize with the same intensity as Gatlin the White girl, has endured. And don't forget she will be drafted be the worse team in the WNBA. Short detour, it seems a tad suspicious that Reese is now teamed up with her Thug buddy Cardosa. Is there any coincidence that Reese's game has improved and Catlins teammate ended up on a different team. Back to the suggestion, everyone stop the commentary and we can pick it up next year. The Catlin narrative has been beaten to death. Unfortunately, people who thought they would be watching basketball are exposed to the WNBA Soap opera. So it will not happen

I like Steph Curry more than Lebron because Lebron goes around wearing UN hats and he fakes fouls.

My issue is, EVERYBODY mentioned on the men's side became legends. I'm not 100% sure Caitlin Clark will become a Legend. We are banking on a rookie who may not meet exceptions and that might be an even worse hit to the WNBA. Larry Bird was CLEARLY a Legend In The Making, I'm not convinced with Ms. Clark.
I could not imagine if the NFL didn't have other players to pick up the slack for Johnny Manziel's crashout. I personally just think it's Too Soon to put all your eggs in the Caitlin Clark Basket. "People" watching because she's white and being hyped up as GOATed in the making. The media went overboard in making Clark seem like she was going to be The GOAT, not that she was going to be really good.
WNBA has to strategically spread some of the attention to other players just in case Clark doesn't meet expectations. Cuz if she fizzles out, people gonna walk away.
Imagine the Jeremy Lin situation, but he was the only reason people watched the NBA?

I think u are confused of why they watch her. It’s her game the way she plays. Shes changing the game.
