Gordy I took you to a little bar in Ellicott city for an open mic night about 35 years ago...seeing you on this video I could not be prouder..you had a dream and achieved it..much love brother
It's the very best of both rock-n-roll worlds with a remake cover song from the legendary canadian prog rockers: "TRIUMPH" along with up and coming modern prog rockers: "IMAGES OF EDEN"!!!! Great job guys, sounds excellent!!! Very pleased!!! Just as great as the original song: "Fight The Good Fight"!!!! From the 1981 album "Allied Forces"!!!!!
Like many others, I have been a huge Triumph fan since 1982. They have always been one of my favorite bands. I heard recently about the Triumph Documentary and Tribute album being made and I will be watching for their releases. I thought your version of Fight the Good Fight was excellent. I know it's hard for Triumph fans to appreciate it because they are comparing it to the original.
Yep i probably look the same way waking up in the morning or evening take your pick!!!! LOL!!! Great Remake of a classic song!!! My Promise is also a good one!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
These dudes rock great song keep it up mate’s your definitely fighting the good fight great talent glad world need great musicians pushing the positive peace out👌
I’m a huge fan of Triumph. Their positive message was something I would cling to in Jr. High during tough times. I’m so happy that you all are taking the message in a new direction to reach more people. (You are probably aware... but in case you aren’t... Rik Emmett was inspired by his Aunt who was fighting cancer when he penned the lyrics.) I’ve subscribed to your channel and I’m looking forward to hearing your other stuff. You all are very talented. I love the metal edge. Very clean sound. Awesome, awesome version of this song.
Thank you so much, we’re blessed to be able to get out and play. We try and provide some relief in this crazy world through our music to people long overdue for some relief while also paying homage to our roots as musicians and Triumph was and is a huge influence to each of us. Honored to have even given it a little justice.
Great to see guys I went to school with KILLIN IT!!! Fantastic music and message! I hope to catch one of your shows soon. Let me know when you will be in Missouri.
Yo like Yo I mean like Yooooo! FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT REMAKE! BRILLIANCE! I have been binge watching your vids and jammin to your tunes since this fine discovery of you guys just today! Well hell's yes when I saw TRIUMPH that caught my eye, more like poked it out. Been rockin to TRIUMPH since 1985 so I just had to tune my ass in and I'm stoked. Thank you IMAGES OF EDEN in advance if you can bear with me a bit. My fiance got me a gift certificate to get a tattoo for Christmas I have not yet utilized and that's just like WTF for me. Reason is 5 yrs ago I lost my angel. My momma dukes, my friend + best friend, my comedian, my audience, my shrink at times, my partner in crime-(innocent mom & daughter crime), my confidant, my HERO, my everything. She was the mom that no matter how I consumed her life with equal parts of good, bad, to horrible, to the best times and more better times, I drove her nuts without no premeditation. I have a psychiatric diagnosis + an alcohol history = destruction of self and all in our lives. She was the one who would say "don't you ever call my fuckin daughter crazy, I know she's a crazy fucked up girl but she's my daughter!" And she would look at me some times and the look said it all plus she would add her "Shell you are fuckin crazy but I love you." She was the definition of unconditional love and spent her life trying to get me the right help. Hello, Michelle here. I'm an alcoholic and suffer from Bipolar affective disorder (BAD) with some features of Schizophrenia, Generalized anxiety (GAD) Obsessive disorder ODC, Post traumatic (PTSD) they pretty much all kinda go together in ways if oneself is diagnosed or if their loved ones are diagnosed. Then add alcohol to that combination and watch the fire works begin, and never end, well they can in a way but they'll always be a part of me. I've had 16 1/2 yrs all together, 8 straight, 7 on and off and this last yr + 5 mths consecutive. Sorry bout the deb downer part. Here's where it get's better. When I saw your album cover for SOULRISE that was my sign! I can now finally get this tat started. I knew I wanted wings in honor of my momma dukes Amazing Grace, that's her name but I couldn't figure if I wanted them open and flying like she is now watching over me flying gracefully or perched down and relaxed because she is finally free from the evil C, ugly ass Cancer and quite frankly I think the C is for, yep the C word. So I see SOULRISE and this girl is blind folded like how I've been through half of my life yet she has those secure wings surrounding her guiding the way, keeping her safe. The shackles for my tat, my story will represent that my disease will always be attached to me, making it uneasy but the clock in the back is reminding me that time is on my side and my time is now too much has slipped by. I turned 50 on halloween and 50 isn't old just half way there. I'm fortunate to be alive to make this next half of my journey better. I honestly will never ever be the same since my loss but I know somehow her spirit sees this and she can now rest her weary heart of worry about her Shell Bell. As much as I wish it was in her physical form here we are spirits more than we are skin, blood, hair, flesh cause the spirit remains after everything at least that's my belief and I believe I'm just getting acquainted with your band because it was meant. So I thank you so much for this inspiration, for your music and for your BADASS selves IMAGES OF EDEN. And ty to those who took the time to read this long ass post!. ROCK ON ROCKERS! And IMAGES OF EDEN GIT YOUR BADASS SELVES OVER HERE TO US IN PHILLY!
Hey Michelle, Gordon here. I want to reply with so much I don't know where to start. First of all, thank you so much for the great words and no, it was not a coincidence (which I don't believe in anyway). Secondly, I am so sorry for the loss of you mom! I will tell you right now that you absolutely must hear our new album in full (out next Friday, 3/26). There is a huge theme of healing from loss as well as being broken down by the world. I went through a bad loss just before writing this album and the entire writing process was one of the deepest healing experiences of my life, so I am hoping that it might have that same impact on you. If you have time to dig into the entire album, I think you will be able to relate. As for the Soulrise cover, very glad to hear you liked it. Have a great weekend and make sure you follow us on whatever social media platform you are on so you can get all updates! Oh, and I also had a nasty history with alcohol as well and have been clean for almost 24 years now. So I can definitely relate! God bless!!!
OMG in heaven!!!!!!! Gordon your vocals are amazing, i loved the layered vocals very fitting for this cover, the guys are so TIGHT in their musicianship, this is amazing and it's a COVER!!!! i can't wait for the release of the new album it is gonna be SMOKING!!!!
To be honest, it is hard for me to get used to hearing that song in that range (maybe just me, I grew up with that song, and as it was one of my favorites, I heard it a lot as it was) However, I am none the less very impressed, I am not a musician, but have been to more concerts than I can count, and almost all were young bands, and became very successful, so I have a knack for recognizing good music and good bands. I am very impressed, and I hope that y'all enjoy the same success as those who impressed me before. I really love the band so far, and hope to see you at a gig in Dallas! Best Wishes!
I too grew up on Triumph, Rush, April Wine and many others. Allied Forces was the very first concert I ever attended in Kansas City. So, Triumph holds a special spot in my influences and heart as it does for each of the band members. Covering such a influential band is to say the least challenging and at the same time exciting. To put our own influence into the song while keeping with the respect it deserves was humbling.
This is fantastic. Triumph is my favorite band so I tend to be more critical when I listen to covers of their songs but totally blown away by this. Kind of sounds like Metallica meets Triumph. If this is that good I can’t wait to check out the rest of your catalogue
This is a killer cover that I just discovered because I saw Gordon (the singer) perform with Maiden America on Saturday, which lead me to find out about Images of Eden. Just awesome!!! Here is to your success! \m/ - Eddie

@@bbowman105 triumph was good and they wrote some great songs... but regarding this particular song and the outcome long-term? Yeah I think this band did a better job on it..
Pretty interesting version. Mr. Emmett was my first guitar idol. I liked it glad you played it in your style. The bridge parts leading into chorus were a bit noisy on the guitar for me, but cool version.

@@imagesofeden I apologise, I should've stated why I thought that. It's actually pretty damn good, especially upon listening to it a couple more times.
