Jeep Wagoneer r134 AC conversion Jeepair.com kit installation

In this video I install a Jeepair.com R134 retrofit kit into my 1983 jeep Wagoneer restomod rig.

Kit comes with :
Sanden Air compressor
AC lines
condensor
drier
expansion valve
you will need to buy your own evap core or clean yours really good.
Makes sure the system is empty.
Remove the battery, radiator, condenser, alternator +, brackets , AC compressor and bracket
Then remove the under dash unit.
install compressor on the new AC bracket.
reinstall the alternator and the new ac compressor and check to see if you need new belts
now is a good time to add or replace your transmission cooler
now is a good time to replace your radiator and hoses since its out
install the new condenser, then radiator.
Install the new lines and drier
run the new lines into the cab to the under dash unit
connect and make sure fittings are tight and check for leaks. reinstall dash unit.
connect new pressure switch and pigtail and wiring.
check to make sure all grounds are connected and install battery
pull vacuum to see if it holds for an hour, or overnight ideally.
The jeep hasn't had working AC for over 17 years. This kit got the AC working awesome. All brand new parts in the kit. You will need to clean the evaporator core with solvent or buy a new one( I bought a new one from summit racing).
I am a jeep enthusiast. I own a lot of jeeps, but I love this Wagoneer, it's amazing. Turns heads ever I go. ive put 1000s of hours into this beauty.
I just couldn't drive it in the summer with no AC here in the mountains of California. It was miserable.
Jeepair.com has been super responsive to emails for questions on the kit , the price is amazing on this kit. I don't think I could source the parts for this price. Having AC in a vintage jeep is priceless.
