There are more than 3.400 islets, big and small, in the clusters of the name Long (Dragon which also an address to King). Hạ Long, itself consists of more than 3000 thousands islets which have not been fully explored yet. Bái Tử Long, another cluster of islets, may comprise of more than 3000-3400 of all big and small islets and not fully discovered yet. I've been there in the very early days and they were even more spectacular without modern developments.

Ha Long Bay is absolutely beautiful! I was telling others I think I love Ninh Binh more, but then I see a video on Ha Long Bay and waver back and forth between the two. Hahaha! You guys got some gorgeous drone shots in of the area, too. I would eaten the whole buffet as well. 😂
It seems that the couple visited Lan Ha Bay, which shares a similar seascape to Ha Long Bay.

Lan Ha Bay in Hai Phong City, it is adjacent to Ha Long Bay (in Quang Ninh Province), it is smaller than Ha Long Bay.
Lan Ha Bay has about 400 islands. Ha Long Bay has about 2000 islands.

The bay is beautiful and perhaps 60 years ago it was spectacular unfortunately
There are 100’s of other boats on the bay at one time. It is totally polluted and trash is floating in the water everywhere. But seriously it’s sooo beautiful. It’s very sad the government of Vietnam has not controlled the tourism industry in the bay it has completely obliterated the serenity and nature in the bay. But if you can get over the pollution and the way the natural wonder is being treated. You will enjoy yourself.

Thanks Chris!😁 Sorry for the delayed response. We bought our drone in Vietnam itself so didn't need to get a permit to take it into the country, so unfortunately can't help you with the logistics around it. But we hope it's not really $700!
