I'm a bit confused. This was uploaded in June, 2022, well into summer in the Northern Hemisphere, yet, in certain parts, you're dressed in winter coats, then summer clothes. Are the caves cold, or...what? I'm doing a 3D/2N Ha Long/Lan Ha tour in late October, so I'm curious!

What was the cost of your cruise
It was during TET holiday (everything is a lot more expensive) and included transport from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay, it was 5,400 000 vnd for our Captain Suite.
do you know how long a south african can get a tourist visa for? can i get it for a month?

Hey I’m planning to travel between 1st to 10th July. My friends are saying it’s not right time to travel to Hanoi or ho chi min city.

1. Is it ok to travel to Vietnam (overall)
2. How’s the weather, as in I know it’s summer still is it making it difficult for you to move around
3. How about rain ?? Is it too much or k ok .

I think you should delay your trip to August-October. There is usually much rain in June-July. There is even more rain this year due to unpredictable La Niña. Plus, it's national peak season in June-July because pupils and students are not at school. Best time to visit Hanoi is in autumn, starting from late August.
Hi Shraiyash!😀 To answer your questions:
1. Yes, it is safe and the borders are fully open now.
2. Yes it is summer! It doesn't make it difficult to move around but be prepared for 33-35 degrees and a lot of humity. Also be prepared for the summer rain season.
3. It rains almost every day between 1-5pm and it does make it a bit more difficult when travelling around.
We would suggest to rather do your trip between Aug - Oct when there is a bit less rain and less tourists, as June-July is peak season. Hope that helps!❤
