Hi Sam, it's getting closer to applications can you please do a video on that and share some insights on how you got in cam econ? Tips like how to write our ps how to prepare for tmua and interview will be much appreciated
hey Sam I am taking Further maths , Maths , Economics and History is that good combination for degrees such as Maths and Eco , PPE or eco and management in unis like Oxford and LSE btw I would love any suggestions or tips you have
My biggest bit of advice would be to focus on super-curriculars. Whether this be reading around the subject, going to public lectures, taking online courses, etc. It helps set you apart and demonstrates your passion for the subject.
I've been watching your videos for about a month they are super helpful and I am so proud of your achievements. But I had a question that keeps bugging me, so if you answer a essay question but your answer is different / not on the mark scheme can you still get full marks?
I can only really speak for Economics essays, and the answer is sort of yes and no. Chances are there will be big topics which they expect you to mention, and if you don't then your marks may be capped. However, you can still get full marks if not all your points match up with what's on the mark scheme.
depends on the question. If I am comfortable with the topic then I probably won't do a formal plan. However, if it's a topic I'm less comfortable with I may do one, just to organise my thoughts
Thanks Sam, it helped me and i am noticing the change💓
What ratio would you say you use the economics library vs college library vs your room for work?
Last term it was probably 90% room, 5% college library, 5% economics library. But for this term I want to spend more time in the libraries.

great tips!
Thank you!
Would you recommend a laptop or Ipad for economics at Cambridge? I have an iPad atm but am wondering if it’s worth upgrading to a MacBook.
I personally have never had either, but I would probably recommend an iPad. iPads are really convenient for taking lecture notes and supervisions.
What’s the max marks you can get in a good 25 marker without a conclusion
hey sam, i just wanna know how to determine when to stop doing past papers and all preped? at least 5 years or until A? thanks!!!

hi sam, quick question. do you make a plan before you begin a 25 marker? or do you think about it briefly and answer the question asap
