Nice video! I recently bought Foundation, and this series has been quite helpful in figuring out the game. When you placed the signpost, you said that it increases the speed of the villagers. Is this true in Foundation? I recall that from another game, but haven't seen any indication of this in Foundation.
Hi! Glad to hear you enjoy this video and that is was helpful! I don’t think that is actually true. It is true in Farthest frontier. Don’t remember saying it haha, but I made a mistake then! Well caught! Thank you! The more deco’s the bigger the zone it has effect in, that does really work! Guess I play to many city builders and get things mixed up sometimes!
This game has a lot of great mods -- some make it easier, some make it harder, some just add new features or items. I like the Great Ladder which is useful if you have cliffs (follows the bridge model). I also tend to use Efficient Resources Storage which ups granaries and warehouses from 4x100 to 4x200.
Yeah I know, but they are not in the steam workshop so it takes more steps to get them to play etc. I'm not good with that. But I know adding mods via steam is on the roadmap, so hopefully that comes soon!
@@PatmosIV Agreed. Although actually, Foundation mods are a lot easier to get than Cities Skylines 2 mods. And most video creators don't seem to want to include mods. But you mentioned wanting mod advice and since I'm retesting all those I have used since the latest upgrade removed them, thought I would mention them.
Yeah one of the things for the future is to look into installing the Foundation mods outside of the steam workshop. So will have to take a look at that. Thank you for mentioning your mods! It is helpful. Just secretly hope they will add the mod support for the steamworkshop soon haha.
Once you reach a certain standing with them There is a Cap of points you can have. I have reached a standing with them of 5. So now I can have 10 coins. If the number is above, it will slowly tick down to 10. If the number is below, it will slowly go up to 10. Events and quests can give you extra coins.
Good question. I guess you mean the hospitium and the Cloister. You need to reach a prosperity of 30 and only 5 rating with the clergy to unlock them. Then you need the right amount of influence coins. So you don't need to go full in on the clergy to unlock them already. Once unlocked the clergy rating can drop again, they won't go hidden after you have unlocked it. But you do need to get the 30 prosperity and 5 rating with the clergy. You can go full labor, kingdom or clergy in a game and neglect the other fields. It just depends on what type of game you want. In the end if you want a nice balanced town you will invest in all and unlock stuff from all I guess. But much depends on what type of game you want to play. I hope this answers your question a bit.
Thats right. Episode three will be available today 18:00 CET. Members can watch the foundation series each week 2 days early as a little thank you for being paid members.
@@tmg7476 Well it just started with this series. I've been thinking long about a way to thank my members, without having subscribers miss out on stuff. Because I don't want people to not be able to see material because of money. This way the members get something in return for their paid commitment, and subscribers don't miss out on anything.
Haha you said Ostriv at the beginning. Similar!
Yeah I did. Oeps... Good reminder I'm just a simple human haha

are you playing with mods?
Nope! Just the Vanilla game!
Do you get a lot of clergy coins over time or is loosing them a big deal? I didn't realize they go down over time if you don't use them.

Can you address getting the hospital and cloister without favoring Clergy? Is it possible?

True! Im a Ostriv Junkie. I admit it! Usually that is the first step to healing, but I don’t want to be healed, so that is not going to work!
They will cure the common cold b4 ostivitus lol@@PatmosIV
That is what I’m hoping for! Then less time sick and more time playing Ostriv!
