Y'all talk about the 5th pick like it's gonna bring something good back. They can trade it, yes.. But it's the return gonna be good?
Idk about the fit with BI not to mention the contract he’ll demand for the next 5 years. At this point I’m fine with grabbing two starters like a Jacob Poetl and Caleb Martin and just trading away the guys that can’t defend for assets. Go into the draft looking for two quality defensive players and run with maximum spacing.
Lineup: Cade, Martin, Tek, Thompson, Poetl.
(Draft Clingan, Tyson, and Proctor)
i like t he idea of drafting Clingan we need big's that play defense and help side defense.
This year's 5th pick can address either have a stretch big, backup big that can defend, or a guard that can really shoot, but the value to trade it at five might not be much

Some want pistons to trade their pick at 5 but if overall consensus is this is a weak draft then what do you expect to get for the 5th Pick? If I was to trade B.I. I want the pistons 5th pick n a future 1st rd pick n B.I. really even ain't like that.

If we don't think this pick is worth any WHY would someone else want it ?? So they can get next year's unprotected pick ? All for an "all star" Big pass. I highly doubt another team would feel sorry for us and give the good end of a deal.

Troy has done right to the team acquiring players with great character. It's not his fault that most of the team had been injured these past two seasons. I think the major needs are having shooters next to Cade and Ive, and the bench needs a PG that can run their offense.

LeBron is going to finish his career in LA or Cleveland, all that does anyway is put us right back in this same position in a couple years.
Dwayne Casey should be the next President of Basketball Operations. Matas Buzelis would be a great addition to this team offering defensive versatility and basketball IQ in the front court. Re-sign Fontecchio, Grimes, and Wiseman. With the improved continuity and a healthy training camp I expect this team to get to 30+ wins and really exciting basketball next season.
The individuals who are going to turn this team around are already on this team.

@@strokin3s The last time the Pistons made the playoffs he was the coach. He's built several teams up from Dallas to Toronto to Detroit. This is a rebuild, not a microwave dinner, you have to let this thing cook.

I'm better today! KEEP JAMES WISEMAN. Duren has NOT been the epitome of health and does not project as such. The NBA is getting bigger and bigger and Wiseman is showing much improvement. As you should know, continuity, and consistency breeds development and confidence. Bringing in another marginally better player a waste to have to re-acclimate someone else to this team. We all know, high turnover companies are companies with a mediocre product.
They should also resign Taj Gibson. This team needs that veteran voice in the locker room that can help accelerate the young big's development by being a player/coach.
Trade the pick alone with Ivey and Stew for Brandon Ingram and a sign and trade for Naji Marshall. Sign Miles Bridges!

I read some of the comments where some want an overpriced free agent who stays injured and doesn't make a difference in changing the teams current direction. I am of the mind set keep the pick and try to get another pick in the top 10! I don't want MATAS as the pick. Rob is like trade the pick but for who?? We are going to be in this same spot next year with a ROLE PLAYER the PISTONS traded for who did not make a difference!! I say the pick was a LEMON why not make LEMONADE!!
