    Thank you Riley.
    About Medium which I use,
    It is emulsion by Sun thickened linseed oil and the egg yolk.
    The character is almost oiliness,
    It is effective to give thickness to a glaze.

    Lead White is superior white pigment used for a long time.
    If you use it the expression of the plasticity of the under-painting, it makes a very beautiful texture.

    Thank you cabyuaby.
    When I use a panel,
    I usually do under grounding by the chalk which mixed with glue.
    When I use a canvas,
    Moreover, I use the emulsion which I mixed oil with there.
    After a grounding dried,
    I do imprimatura in brown oil paint.

    The paint brush which I secondly use is made in France.
    It is a paint brush made with the fur of the mongoose.

    That's so magnificient technic. Thanks. I understand that we can use the stand oil for glazing. Is it right? And the other question is if some areas will be bright and some ones not bright, I'm curious to know how we solve the non homogen brightness problem on canvas. Thanks for your answer in advance.

    • @ruedesilly
      @ruedesilly  4 года назад

      Thank you Murat.
      Recent scientific analysis seems to show that almost no resin varnish is used in oil paintings until the 17th century. For me, it is important that the medium used for glazing is mainly drying oil. I myself use a drying oil as an medium, which is an emulsion of a small amount of egg yolk, but of course, it is possible to use only the drying oil. And to achieve a smooth tone, a slightly polymerized drying oil would be effective. For example, stand oil and sun thickened oil.
      And I'm sorry. I didn't quite understand your second question. I'm not good at English.

    • @muratbarlastekin2685
      @muratbarlastekin2685 4 года назад

      Dear@@ruedesilly thanks for the answer. The second question is about the brightness of the surface of finished painting. Without any varnish, some areas of canvas are shiny but some ones are not. It is about the spect of pigments I think. I want to get the bright finish after the paint was dried. Can I solve this problem via using any medium?

    Your brush strokes and painting is so relaxing. Also, I've always wondered how you paint over it like that over the dry oil paint? Doesn't oil paint take so long to dry? How did you paint over it like that without smearing the whole thing? I just starting oil painting and I'd really appreciate you helping me out a bit :)

  • @miguellavariel1348
    @miguellavariel1348 5 лет назад +2

    Very advanced. The finished painting looks amazing!
    A short question, are the color combinations you showed always roughly the same?
    Or does this depend on the model you're painting?

    • @ruedesilly
      @ruedesilly  2 года назад +1

      The choices and combinations of colors have changed little by little over time, but they are basically the same for all paintings.
      However, the ratio of colors used will change depending on the skin color of the model and the light conditions at that time.

      would need to learn how linseed oil and egg yolk being made. Does it makes it dry fast or vise versa?

    • @thebones
      @thebones 6 лет назад +1

      egg yolk drys more slowly than egg white when added to flax oil. If you want a fast drying oil, make 'glair' by distilling beaten egg whites and add three parts sun thickened flax oil to two parts glair.
