At the age of 80 I am learning to cook as my wife's memory is gone! I stumbled onto "Come Sit At My Table" and Tom's Chili was my first attempt - we liked it so much we are now on our third "re-run"! My absolute favorite people and I can only say "THANK YOU"... I made Tom's Cornbread yesterday in preparation for cornbread dressing today (I could live on a diet of cornbread dressing and cranberry sauce). Again - Thank you Tom and Melissa.
I to will pray for you and your wife and wish everyone a good day. I really enjoy Tom & Melissa’s videos. Learning all the time. When I find a site like Come Sit at My Table, I feel like I found treasure.
God bless you and your Wife! ❤ this is the best place to learn! Tom and Melissa are wonderful at explaining things! And the recipe is there to help you! Your in my prayers 🌺💛🌺💛🌺
I have lived in Nashville area for 50 yrs. I have been using Jiffy cornbread mix for a that time to help make my dressing. I also use biscuits, white bread, buns or any leftover bread. I have been told many times that is the best dressing I have ever had. I also use Poultry seasoning which has sage in it with other spices. I do not pulverize the cornbread. I break it up with my hands and liquid makes it all come together. I think we all just need to find our perfect recipe and enjoy it. No cream soup either just broth and butter from sautéed vegetables. Enjoy your channel.
I’m thankful you don’t let the criticisms of viewers comments to bother you or discourage you from doing videos. We are watching how you make things. That’s all there is to it. It’s your video and your recipe. I enjoy watching.
Tom....I should've known you were a teacher!! You are well prepared, orderly, clear and thorough with instructions and rationale, and your food is visually well-presented! (I think I got a whiff of onion and sage during this video!! 😂). Thanks for sharing your well-researched and tried recipes with us. I have enjoyed those I have seen very much! Oh, and I agree....."Ain't nobody likes dry dressing"!! 😂
Tom,l bet you were a wonderful teacher. You are easy to understand and describe all the ingredients in detail.I have never put dried sage or soup in my dressing. And l have never even thought of putting biscuits in it.l am setanly am going to try this recipe for Thanksgiving dinner this year.Thank you so much for sharing your recipe. And for all of your stories about your father n law.l enjoy hearing your family stories.God bless you and Melissa and your family.🙏🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃
That’s a way my mothers-in-law made the dressing. She tough me 66 years ago. I love your channel Tom. I’m from Tennessee . You can’t beat southern cooking
I recreated a recipe 50 years ago and never thought about putting eggs in it. Never used soup just turkey broth, turkey giblets, butter and of course the cornbread, bread crumbs and sage. A bit of salt and pepper. No one ever complained so to this day, I use the same recipe. However, your recipe looks amazing.and thank you for sharing. 😊
Your recipe is probably more healthier the way you make it, by adding the canned soup.....it is worse for people but I agree it sure taste good, you don't have to add the can soup....just add broth and season it up well and avoid PROCESSED FOODS when you can....
Peggy, your comment absolutely brings a smile to our faces. We really appreciate that you are watching and using our recipes. Happy cooking and baking!
My mother-in -law lived to be 97 years young. She lived alone & ate Cambells soup almost every lunchtime because it was warm & filling but not heavy on here stomach. P.S. she had been a farmers wife most of her life.
Y’a know, I’ve never liked corn bread dressing. My Momma was a yankee. After being a Texan for the past 53 of my 77 years on this planet, I think I’d like to try your recipe this next Thanksgiving, God willing. I really enjoy your channel.
Tom, I made this tonight as I roasted a chicken last night- lest we get bored with roast chicken and vegetables! I made about a half recipe, homemade cornbread and white dinner rolls, and my husband raved over it! Oh my, so satisfying and comforting! Perfect! Sorry, Melissa, had to add a whole cup of celery(sautéed).
I just discovered "Come Sit At My Table" today. It's a joy watching and listening to you. Love the way you have everything laid out and describe each ingredient. Melissa does a great job on the camera! You are both comforting to listen to. Delightful.
I used your recipe today! Thank you! It's delicious! We're having an early Thanksgiving meal with family and my Dad is celebrating his 90th Birthday! Praise the Lord for His goodness!🎉❤
I've been I'll this week when I found your program, and it was the best medicine for my soul. It was so comforting and enjoyable to watch and copy down recipes. To those who have any negative statements about this show I say, " than don't watch!" We all love and enjoy Tom and Malissa!😊😊❤
I really enjoyed watching your show on corn bread dressing. I helped my mom back when I was very little she was paralyzed from a Stroke. So she taught me young on how to cook. The only difference is we used Pepperidge farm herb seasoning bread crumbs along with the cornbread it added the herb that was really good and we always use poultry seasoning with the sage. And we always boiled the onion and celery together that would bring out the flavor then and add it to the dressing And she would mix it with her hands like you did with the meat loaf and she always had to taste it. I always thought it was gross that she did that. But now I do the same thing I have to taste it. Thanks for a great video.
Nutrition school taught me that kitchens should be in triangle- oven - stove refridge. Tom and Melissa's kitchen is perfect especially with added tons of counter space!
Tom Thank You So Much for doing these videos they are wonderful !!! THANK You Melissa for recording it I Love to watch your husband do these he makes cooking look so easy Thank You all 😊💕🤗
I make my dressing pretty much this same way but I use raw eggs in my dressing and I mix it up real well; sometimes I even beat the eggs slightly. That makes the dressing fluffy and light. I don’t use the cream of chicken soup but I use cream of celery soup instead of celery itself. I do use the chicken broth. I definitely agree with the sage. It is not dressing without the sage.
me too, my me-maw used at least 6 eggs. that's a good idea about the cream of celery. I don't know if that will work for me as if I touch a piece of celery to my lips/mouth I begin to belch.
I use some raw, well blended, stirred in to thicken PLUS some boiled. NO canned soups, just stock/broth, egg, etc. IF no raw egg, I prefer my dressing warm but "raw", unbaked. 😉😂🙃
I love to hear you talk as you demonstrate how to make the recipes. Brings back so many memories of past recipes from my last. It’s a Blessing that you and your beautiful wife work so well together. Your your tube is one of my favorites. God Bless You for all your wonderful work sharing your delicious recipes. 🙌🏻
Loved the story of Tom's first visit to Melissa's parent's home. Surprised to hear it was '93 - you guys remind us of ourselves so much. From your counter tops (exact pattern and material as ours), Tom not wearing shoes while cooking, favorite foods, to your love of the country and church (God), just so many things but then you tell us your first visit was '93 - we have 8 yrs on you guys. Guess we are much older. No matter thanks for a great recipe. I am thinking of trying it this Thanksgiving. God Bless!
We probably are close in age since we were a little older when we married. Tom's 61 and I'm 56. We will have our 30th anniversary next year. We've truly been blessed in our marriage. We hope you enjoy the dressing. It's a staple for our holiday meals. Thanks so much for watching our channel. We really do appreciate that.
This is the way my grandmother made it, except she would saute the onions and celery in the butter then add it to the cornbread. She also used poultry seasoning as well. I loved her dressing ❤
Yes and you gotta add Sage & poultry Seasoning both.....just don't over do either..... experiment , and then choose how much you want to put in it.....(this is how you find a good recipe)
Beautiful pan of Cornbread Dressing!!!😋😋 I make it a lot like yalls... my Nanny taught me!!❤️ I cook my celery n onions in bacon drippings first and add fried Cornbread along with the baked Cornbread & toast!!! Happy Thanksgiving Tom & Melissa!!🍁🍂 🧡🤎🦃🤎🧡🍁🍂
I’m 78 and I’m the queen of eating Cambells soup. I love it as much today as I did as a kid. I don’t let my soup run out. My family didn’t eat it and I don’t know how I started.
My recipe is similar but I put a can of cream of chicken and a can of cream of celery. I don’t put sage in mine because nobody likes it. I also use the broth from the giblets and neck and I use the meat from the neck. I also use the broth from the turkey but save out some for the giblet gravy. I use canned broth to make it really moist. It is so good. So very similar. Thanks for reminding me. I think I’ll make up a huge dish and freeze in individual containers. I’m 78 so I like to have something I can fix quickly.
Same here. I put uncooked eggs in the mixture and I don’t use the soup. Plus I do add a little milk. Lots of chicken broth and melted butter (besides what I sauté the veggies)
This is the way my mother in law made her dressing. She’s been gone for 20 years now and we still use her recipe for dressing. We never had boiled eggs in our dressing growing up. They were in the giblets gravy, but not in the dressing. Because you make your dressing like we do now…..I’m going to subscribe! 😂😂🥰 Honestly, in my humble opinion, it’s the cornbread dressing that makes the meal. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
It looks wonderful. When you mentioned subscribe, it brought back a memory when I first started watching RUclips. I would never click the subscribe button because I thought it would ask for my credit card number. Yes, I am a retired senior but love good food! Thanks for your video and Happy Holidays!
I'm really enjoying your videos also. You make lots of things that I like, especially the lasagna and the chocolate pie. My grandmother used to make chocolate pie when I was a little girl, and I have been wanting a good recipe. I think I'm going to try yours. Oh, and the dressing looks good also. I also like how you talk and share little nuggets while you create. Keep on doing what you are doing!
Mine is similar, 1/2 biscuit, 1/2 cornbread-I bake one big hoecake combination. crumble. Then allow to soak in broth overnight or few hrs. Poultry seasoning, onion, cream ch soup, 2-3 raw eggs, chopped boiled eggs. More broth if need. Salt & pepper. I learned by helping my MIL. She would make enough for a pan, & Lg & small black skillets. Mixed it up in a dishpan. She didn’t use celery & I don’t like it. I keep celery seed on hand but rarely use it. Lots of cranberry sauce. And gravy for the dressing. Yours looks great!
I love your recipes. I learned to cook in an orphanage at 11 years old. It was that or do laundry for 30 people using hard industrial detergent that was very bad for your hands. We had no dryer so the person that did the laundry would have to hang out the clothes when it would be freezing outside. You can see now why I learned to cook! I still cook like I learned in the 50's. I can always find something better watching your video's. Have you made a video making giblet gravy.
I like a little sage. More times than none I use poultry seasoning only. Just depends on my tastebuds that day. But everything else in your recipe is identical to mine. I never use turkey broth bc we prefer the taste of chicken better. Im saying that bc you mentioned turkey bc that’s what you cooked with your future father in law way back when. Thanks for sharing your recipe. It’s always interesting to see how others make their dressing. God bless
You can also fry dressing patties, my mama would do it if she made to much dressing or reg cornbread, it was good to have for littles ( and bigones ) to snack on while waiting 😉
One time I was making cornbread dressing and my lid fell off the sage bottle. My cornbread dressing was green. My husband at the ate it with out saying a word. Lord bless him. lol
Loving your recipes. I'm a Kentucky girl living in North Carolina and I am soooooo homesick. I love hearing you talk and seeing your UK shirts. Some game last night, by the way! I like to make my dressing in a brownie pan that makes individual squares. In my family everyone always wanted the corner pieces because of the crusty edges. With this pan all the pieces are crispy and the same size (in case someone thinks their piece is smaller than someone else's. Also enjoyed hearing your story about Claudia Sanders' restaurant in the Breaded Tomatoes video. It has been many years since I was there. Delicious food! Thanks for the memories of home and the scrumptious recipes. God Bless you both.
I'm new to your channel & can't wait to try your recipes, I hope you can do a 1 persons recipe as I'm alone now my husband of 30 yrs. passed away of Cancer in 2013 & my 3 girls are married & on their own so its hard to cook like I use too. God Bless, Sherri from Ohio
Cornbread dressing is my favorite! My Granny made a humongous pan for Thanksgiving & Christmas. After she passed one of her daughters took over that task. Now another one of my Aunts makes it. I have never tried to make it.......but after seeing this, I am going to give it a shot. Thanks for the video. TTYL, my friends. ~~~~Tina
I make my dressing this same way except I’ve never added the cream of chicken soup , I’ll definitely try it this way this thanksgiving ! But I don’t grind my cornbread I just add the chicken broth I boiled my chicken, onion and celery in and stir well the bread breaks down nicely and I also like y’all enjoy more sage flavor ! Thank you for sharing your recipe !! God bless ❤️🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈
I found this video a couple of years ago and used it. My dressing was out-of-the-park good that year. I come back to it every year, and it's just as good. So, I've saved it. Thank you for sharing your recipe.
Hello from the beautiful state of Oregon. This is my first time watching your videos. We LOVE dressing!!! I make a homemade cornbread dressing as well. I've never used chicken in mine. I usually add a lb of mild Italian sausage and chopped up apple. Also, adding eggs was new to me. Yours looks delicious. I just finished watching your video....."chicken dressing." Yummy, you guys 😊
I learned from my old school Mississippi dad how to make cornbread dressing he actually stuffed the turkey with the dressing and he graded the onion as well that I do remember never ever use can of any cream soup ..we did an old-school we poured the turkey broth from the turkey into it and of course ?. since he’s from Mississippi it was a holy Trinity onions green pepper celery ..Never had any ..better.. I was glad that I was able to help him with the Preparation Thanksgiving 1970s but I will love to try your cornbread dressing😊
Love your videos I haven’t really watched a man cook that much. You are very talented young man. Your cornbread dressing is almost identical to mine. Very impressed.
I make my dressing with all the same ingredients. I do however sautee my onions and celery in butter before I add them. I do taste test and usually add more sage. I don't measure anything. I'm 71 y/o and I was taught by my mother and she always kept me a small bowl out before she baked it. Now I put my dressing in my crock pot and it maintains it's moisture better.
My husband didn't like celery and I started taking my broth and boiling the celery and onion afew minutes then mix my dressing makes such a difference in the taste really enjoy your shows I like that you teach not just throw ingredients together keep cooking bless you and your wife
Melissa and Tom stop fighting over the dressing!!!!! Lol😊😂 oh my goodness I hungry for chicken n dressing, I think I'm going to make some Sunday's dinner. Thanks yall. 😊❤🙏 Ms. Ruby
Hi kids, I just ran across your dressing recipe. I’m 75 years old, and been cooking since I was probably 14. I will be cooking your dressing this Thanksgiving. It looks absolutely wonderful. Thanks again for sharing. Love your cooking! Happy Holidays! ❤
I'm so jealous of your kitchen, it's gorgeous. Look at all those cabinets and counter space. And that's where you make all these mouth watering recipes for us.
Thanks for sharing! Your video was spot on and easy to follow. I can tell you were a great teacher! Keep the videos coming , so I can keep the likes coming. If you eat deer meat, can you do a video on making deer chili? Again, thanks, Tom & Melissa! I can see the true love between you two. It's beautiful to see how kind you are to one another and how you laugh so easily together. God bless you both.
I cook my dresses the same way but I cook my onions and celery in butter. Also I use stovetop stuffing. I put my stuffing in a bow and use chicken broth to get it very moist. Use one can of cream of chicken and 2 slices of bread toasted. I mix it all together, cover it up, put it in the. Refrigerator overnight and then I add my boiled eggs and mix it. Well, it is so delicious. Love watching you all cook. Happy thanksgiving everyone from mississippi
Nothing wrong with the way you make your dressing. I make mine the way I like it and I would never tell someone else how to make their food. We should be open minded to try something else. Also don't be critical about how someone cooks, try it you might like it. HAPPY THANKSGIVING, TOM AND MELISSA!!
Tom, I appreciate that you don't do a lot of talking before beginning the recipe. This recipe is quite similar to my aunt Jean's. At Thanksgiving, I prefer this dish over all the others, even the entree. It' just that good!
Hi Tom (and your wife....lol), but I just wanted to say that Ive watched several of your videos, you and your family seem very kind, just like mine, I'm German but very similar, actually I am eating a lot healthier these days, but the problem is that you make me CRAVE your recipes, forget for a minute that I don't eat that way anymore....lol 😅😅😅, thank you for your recipes, your obvious kindness and enjoyment of cooking! Bless you and your family
White Lilly buttermilk corn bread mix cooked in an iron skillet, cover and leave out over night to dry out, break up and place in gal. Zip lock bag and roll until finely broke up.this makes the best dressing.
Forthe past couple of years my dressing has been awful. Well let me tell you about this year. I found this video and followed your recipe (for the most part) and it was delicious. It was so good,, everyone was raving (literally raving) about it. I was so happy and relieved. My son-in-law messaged me this morning (day after Thanksgiving) to tell me he's glad they took some dressing home. He had it for breakfast. I have now saved this video to my favorites!! Thank you so much for this video and saving my dressing game!!
Thank you for the cornbread dressing, that I will try, I always like new ways of preparing foods and you take it step by step and make it so much easier to follow.
Your dressing looks so delicious! Some of my family don't care for celery so I pulse it in the food processor. It still has the flavor but they don't even know it's in there.:) We also LOVE sage. I recently learned that rubbed sage is about half as potent as ground sage. I still use rubbed but more of it. Love your channel. You're both great at what you do.😊
Great idea on pulse the Celery or onions in food processor, that way no one sees them and no one really knows its in there....a friend of mine used to pulse her onions in everything she made because her kids did not like onions in anything....and they never knew the difference when they ate their meatloaf, etc.... I don't like big pieces of onions either, I cut mine small & thin and they cook up and you barely see them in anything I make.....dessiing, soups, meatloaf..... etc..... Even I don't like big pieces of carrots in soup, etc, so I grate my carrots when I make Bean Soup and for Vegetable soup, grate some & leave some in smaller pcs....where there are kids, always pulse them....and they never know....they just leave good flavor in anything you make almost....
@@TheKentuckylady717 There's a saying 'It was made with love.' It definitely sounds like your food is made with love & I'm sure those you cook for notice it.😊
I have used a jar of turkey gravy and a small amount of evaporated milk with my cream of chicken soup. That also adds moisture. I use raw beaten eggs and not boiled eggs. This is used for binding. Happy Thanksgiving! Nancy Moore, Arkansas
I've had cornbread dressing that is ONLY cornbread and do not like it at all. I have always used a combination in my dressing and it is so much better. My best friend puts spicy sausage in her dressing and it is fantastic. Put a salad with it and it's a whole meal. I have put oysters in mine and love it, but some guests didn't, so no more of that. I have never, ever heard of anyone adding boiled eggs, but since I've loved every one of your recipes that I have tried so far, I am going to be adding them into my next dressing. I look forward to the videos that you and Melissa post. Keep up the great work!
Really enjoy your videos and recipes. Saw you make your friend's peanut butter cookies awhile back. They looked delicious. I love cornbread dressing. My mom made it every TG and Xmas. Hers was so very good. She is 92 now and cant do the big dinners anymore. Your recipe looks very good. Im going to try it. Like another commenter, I love that you lay out all your ingredients in order on countertop. God Bless and happy holidays to you both.
Making this today and putting in gallon zip lock bags and refrigerating until tomorrow which is Thanksgiving!!! So exciting, may need to add a touch more broth before baking, we'll see. This is the best, most precise recipe, and you have explained so well. I had posted on Face Book to all the new first time dressing makers to go to your U Tube videos. Just follow these simple instructions and you cannot go wrong. I made dressing with a sweet cornbread mix one time and my family kept asking what was wrong with my Dressing. Learned that sweet and savory are two entirely different taste. Never used sweet again!!! Please continue your video's and consider a cook book. You got something good going on!!!!
My Mom's dressing was made almost the same, except didn't put chicken or turkey in it and I don't remember her using cream of chicken soup in hers but it sounds good. Saving this video. She used chopped eggs, too! She'd make one thick pan of it and another smaller pan of it a little thin, so it would be crispy. That was my favorite!
My late wife showed me how to make cornbread dressing. It’s the best. I’ve never put in chicken or any meat. I beat up about 4 eggs instead boiling them. I use 2 cans of cream soup. Almost any cream soup works in a pinch. Cream of celery works well. I add a cup of milk. I heat the broth to boiling before adding; it seems to help the ingredients blend nicely. Today I used a handful of fresh sage; you can get it in a little plastic blister pack in the produce area. Homemade cornbread plus whatever left over white bread or biscuits works, but I often use Pepperidge Farms seasoned cornbread mix from a bags…whole bag. Or mix that with the other breads to total around 8 cups dry. I intend to try your version. Hmmm good comfort food.
I love your channel. You are great at explaining everything. I am so glad I found your channel. You and your wife seem like the perfect couple. You are so blessed. I am going to try to make this cornbread and dressing recipe. I know I can, because you are a great teacher. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Thank you and your wife so much for all you do so we can all be good cooks just like you.
That dressing looks absolutely delicious. Turkey or chicken and dressing is my very favorite food in the world too. Here is a guilty secret. My daughter and I love next day dressing sandwiches with mayonnaise on the bread. Yum yum. Her vegetarian husband looks at us like what the heck? Bread sandwiches? Ha ha. Thanks Tom and Melissa for another winner!
I saved this recipe to try it out this Thanksgiving. It's currently in the oven right now - wish me luck! ... every year I search for and try baking a new recipe bc I'm trying to find the one my mamaw made. All i know is that it had chicken meat and the giblets and hard boiled eggs and cornbread in it, and it was moist, smooth, and so good! I hope your recipe works out for me!
Hi Tom, Well this afternoon is the first time that your video showed up on my U Tube. I just loved watching you make that delicious Chocolate Cake. You are very easy to listen to. You explain the how to steps very well. God Bless You and Marissa. Remember that God Is Good All The Time and All The Time God Is Good. This is what I think of your cooking. 👍👍👍 I'll have to try to fix my green beans the way that you do yours. And This Thanksgiving Dressing looks like the bomb. I've got to try all of your recipes that I've seen so far.
I just subscribe. I didn't know how it pop up but I'm glad it did! I enjoyed watching this and the corn pudding video. Learned something new, thanks for sharing!
Helpful hint... use the chicken broth to 'clean' your other ingredient vessels, especially the soup cans. Pour some broth in, swirl and then add to your mixture. I like the fact you DON'T use the pull tabs on can goods. Nothing like having multiple sharp edges. I use a can opener, preferably a rim cutter, NO sharp edges.

I just made your corn pudding, it is in the oven now. I love your videos. I am going to make your sweet potatoes next.😀

Nomam you can Martha white no jiffy
I do the same thing. Jiffy and some type of white bread and poultry seasoning. Everyone loves my dressing so I’m not about to change it. Lol
Look delicious, can’t wait to make for the holidays. Thank you both.
Me too. Also sage enhances more as it is soaking in the liquid and cooking. Also we use broth from cooking the turkey not out of a carton.
I always use REAL cornbread, not Jiffy. It doesn't make good dressing. I use Martha White Buttermilk Cornmeal Mix.
I’m thankful you don’t let the criticisms of viewers comments to bother you or discourage you from doing videos. We are watching how you make things. That’s all there is to it. It’s your video and your recipe. I enjoy watching.

I love dressing. It is my favorite dish for Thanksgiving and Christmas
I am not crazy about celery
either😊
As a Yankee I LOVE cornbread dressing 😁
@@nancywarner5782 we’d be so honored to have my try this! We hope you love it.

I love the distance of the sink and your stove. I hate it when a stove is completely across the room from the sink. I absolutely love it.
Nutrition school taught me that kitchens should be in triangle- oven - stove refridge. Tom and Melissa's kitchen is perfect especially with added tons of counter space!
Tom Thank You So Much for doing these videos they are wonderful !!! THANK You Melissa for recording it I Love to watch your husband do these he makes cooking look so easy Thank You all 😊💕🤗
You’re very kind. We really appreciate that you’ve watched!
I wish I was there. Your cornbread dressing looks delicious. I really enjoy all of your videos. Thanks. 🌽🥦🧄🫑🌶️🧅🥚🥐
I also saute my onions and celery and use cream of celery soup.
We love the traditions and food that go with the holiday season. Enjoy this wonderful time of year!
Just watching Tom and Melissa. Thank you Paul for teaching Tom! You legacy lives on!
Their dressing is a treat to have. I hope you get to enjoy it soon. We really appreciate that you are watching our channel. Have a great day!
I hate sage.
One thing I do different is cook my veggies before adding to the mix,and I don’t add the hard boiled eggs. But that looks delicious.
Same here. I put uncooked eggs in the mixture and I don’t use the soup. Plus I do add a little milk. Lots of chicken broth and melted butter (besides what I sauté the veggies)
What a wonderful story about your father in law! I’ve never had corn bread stuffing and I can’t wait to make this!
Dressing
Sage decreases is potency as it ages. I love lots of sage in my dressing, too, Tom. Appreciate you so much for sharing your delicious recipes.
Freeze your herbs and the fresh taste last almost indefinitely.
I love that you get all the little dips and drops. Your presentation is just the best.
I have enjoyed every single recipe of your’s. Thank you for the videos and thank Melissa for the written ingredients and measurements .
Good one 👍🏿
It looks wonderful. When you mentioned subscribe, it brought back a memory when I first started watching RUclips. I would never click the subscribe button because I thought it would ask for my credit card number. Yes, I am a retired senior but love good food! Thanks for your video and Happy Holidays!
That’s a funny story. I certainly understand why you would have thought that! We hope you enjoy our recipes. Have a wonderful Christmas!
IN MY VIEW
I have always been a fan of dressing and can make it, scoop some in a bowl and eat it all by itself. YUM.
We agree with you 100%! It can be a meal all by itself.
Thank you. And absolutely, lots of cranberry sauce!
Sage gets milder the longer it sits. We always reminded the cooks at school when we received new bottles.
God bless
Thank you for watching. We really appreciate it. All this discussion about dressing makes me want some! Not sure I can wait until Thanksgiving!
@@comesitatmytable9044 me too. And it’s sure been a while since Thanksgiving!
@@sherrywilliams409 maybe we could have a Christmas in July turkey dinner!
You can also fry dressing patties, my mama would do it if she made to much dressing or reg cornbread, it was good to have for littles ( and bigones ) to snack on while waiting 😉
New sub here & my husband & I are already enjoying sitting at your table!
We’re so happy to have you join us!
I like to cook my stuffing in muffin pans. Nice single serve portions, and everyone can have crispy edge pieces. Saves on the cooking time, too.
Me alone as well. Ohio near the lake
❤❤thats some very delicious looking dressing.🎉🎉😊😊
Cornbread dressing is my favorite! My Granny made a humongous pan for Thanksgiving & Christmas. After she passed one of her daughters took over that task. Now another one of my Aunts makes it. I have never tried to make it.......but after seeing this, I am going to give it a shot. Thanks for the video. TTYL, my friends. ~~~~Tina
We hope you love it! Happy Thanksgiving!
I made it once and put sage in it. Taste tested and didn't think it was so I put more in and it was overwhelming full of sage. Had to throw it away.😢
I've never had cornbread dressing it looks so good except I wouldn't put the boiled eggs in mine I just subscribed
Watching replay, OMG. I definitely will make this😊❤
Hello from the beautiful state of Oregon.
I enjoy your recipes.
That you give the amount of seasonings..
Especially you repeat the ingredients.
Thank you for the recipes.
Lee in Ga.
First time seeing you. Love your videos!
This looks delicious and like my mom used to make! Can't wait to make my own..Thank you
I make my dressing with all the same ingredients.
I've just come across your taco soup and your chicken/dessing casserole both look So delicious, I can't wait to try them !!
Enjoying your videos! Everyone’s dressing is as unique as their fingerprints lol
Ms.
I am going to make this for our Canadian thanksgiving this weekend!! Looks delicious!
This cornbread dressing recipe looks so delicious 😋 Mr. Tom. It was very nice of your Father-In Law to teach you how to make this particular recipe.
White Lilly buttermilk corn bread mix cooked in an iron skillet, cover and leave out over night to dry out, break up and place in gal. Zip lock bag and roll until finely broke up.this makes the best dressing.
I can't get over a man fixing dressing. It's a dang ordeal to get the ham sliced. I'm enjoying your cooking. Thank you from Midland, Georgia.
The dressing looks wonderful. It's pretty much the way I make mine. I am so enjoying your channel.
I can’t wait to try this recipe. Dressing is my favorite too. Thanks for sharing!❤
Thank you for the cornbread dressing, that I will try, I always like new ways of preparing foods and you take it step by step and make it so much easier to follow.
The box & can is what i use every time! 😁 comes out perfectly.
Your dressing looks so delicious! Some of my family don't care for celery so I pulse it in the food processor. It still has the flavor but they don't even know it's in there.:)
We also LOVE sage. I recently learned that rubbed sage is about half as potent as ground sage. I still use rubbed but more of it.
Love your channel. You're both great at what you do.😊
I love it that you pulverize the celery and they don’t even know it’s there!
@@TheKentuckylady717 There's a saying 'It was made with love.' It definitely sounds like your food is made with love & I'm sure those you cook for notice it.😊
I love greasy turkey juice from a whole turkey in my dressing. Very savory.
The video on cornbread dressing is spot on...great recipe!❤❤
You’re so funny! We say ain’t too! Lol. 🤷♀️. It works! I’m from Tennessee. Can’t help it! 😁
Good job on the dressing and we enjoyed your cornbread video as well... Be Blessed!
Looks DELICIOUS ! We will try this for sure! Thank you for sharing!!
Thank you Tom for sharing your delicious dressing recipe with us today,I am gonna make some for the holidays!!
Have a blessed day
Really enjoy your videos and recipes.
Very delicious dressing
This brought make so many memories of me and Mom in our Tennessee home are Thanksgiving.
OMG, looks delicious, and I love dressing!
Her name is Melissa not marissa. 😉✌
I just subscribe. I didn't know how it pop up but I'm glad it did! I enjoyed watching this and the corn pudding video. Learned something new, thanks for sharing!
We are so glad you’ve joined our table! Welcome! We hope you enjoy our recipes.
