This is one of those rare interviews where the creator has something genuine to offer. Tom is an honest, natural creator who has so much to offer the would-be creator. Surely we’ve all had enough of the "I'm getting rich telling people how to become rich" content that seems omnipresent on RUclips. Well done for getting him on your channel.
This was so great! I can on this post only, Admit I'm a gear nerd. Which is weird as a retired cop, comedian, actor, I love gear, and I love creating. I wish there were more in my age group that loved crating, but that's not the case for sure. I can honestly admit from this post, and feel it's ok, to admit that I'm in love with my mic. I loved producing, recording, when I was 15 years old back in 1973, when I was using a super 8 video camera, with film! And recording on a reel to reel tape machine. And now I feel that technology has caught up to me. Thanks Tom and Buzzsprout for this amazing episode for creators. I am now consuming all of Tom Bucks video posts.
Great episode guys! I have a small RUclips channel that I started when I retired. I record video for RUclips and rip the audio for podcast (on buzzsprout of course ). I also have two private professional tech leads communities which that provide my retirement fun money. I’m a fan of both of your podcasts and channels. Having you both together was awesome and super valuable!
Very good video I appreciate you both for being authentic. I enjoy the process of podcasting most of the time however I'll be glad when this starts to click.
This episode was so refreshing... I started my podcast for the same reason of just wanting to create something of my own but now I'm looking to see how I can grow and monetize and its become a hassle at times. I still love podcasting but marketing of other content to assist can become draining. I love the genuine and calm energy of Tom, it really was inspiring and motivating to continue
LOVE TOM BUCK!!! Have been a fan for years and bought the Rodecaster Pro because of him. Best decision ever! Keep up the great work!!!! One thing though . . . is it me or are there a TON of edits in this video? I thought my internet was lagging but I think it's cuts/edits making it look jumpy. Anyone else?
Thank you. This was so valuable. I have stopped myself from doing a podcast (which I feel very called to do) due to the equipment issue. And the whole ‘I’ll be bad at first” syndrome. Thank you!!
Tom has been an inspiration from Day 1 I've discovered him on YT! Amazing consistency in his online presence and always a deep meaning with everything he posts.
As a teacher, I totally relate to this video! I loved the questions at the beginning asking about the connection between teaching to a live audience versus presenting in a video with zero live feedback. So true! Also, @tombuck, you are the reason why I use Buzzsprout as my hosting site and why I have all the equipment I use. Thank you!
After listening to this interview with @tombuck, RUclips started serving me Heather's video about packing for Iceland! 🤣🤣💀 Really good interview - I enjoyed it.
Do you mean how did we remove all the dead space or pauses? Our editor took a few days to go through the raw footage. We also edited out at least 30 minutes of content.
This just supports the fact Tom is just such a great guy, not just a great RUclipsr and I echo the fact he is also one of my favourites and I have learned so much from Tom’s Videos. He has also been really helpful directly so this is appreciated.
I stumbled into having my own radio show and podcast while attempting to promote my first book. All recording was at the radio station and they were unfamiliar with podcasting, just really starting with no experience. I did both hosting on Omny for two years and struggled with learning how to digitally promote the podcast. I decided to mothball the book, radio show, and podcast at the end of February as a financial drain. I got all 91 episodes of the podcast and migrated the library to Buzzsprout. With zero promotion I've had over 700 downloads on Buzzsprout in the first 90 days. Sure wish I had found these kind of resources much sooner. Tom is a very sincere and helpful personality that makes him a terrific encourager! Thank you for this content!
Thanks for letting me be a part of this!
Thank you, Tom! It was great to interview you for this episode.
Awesome interview! Great resource.
Thank you!

Am I just paying attention to your intro? I love it

Tom is an awesome dude!
Couldn't agree more.
Tom is legendary! A true genuine creator.
💯
What is Tom using for video frame rate? It looks like about 12 frames per second. He has the "Max Headroom" look.
Great interview and so many great takeaways - Thank you Tom & Buzzsprout!
Thank you, Rick!
Amazing convo! Tom is the best.
Great video I’m a beginner and this information is helpful thanks 😊🙏🏾
So glad you find this helpful. Thank you for watching!

Tom Buck is one of the most honest, smart authentic podcasters on youtube. He has a very likable personality
Absolutely! Thanks for watching, Percy!
Thank you..I am new at it.. 🎙️🍷💐
Yay! Keep podcasting! 💪
Great interview! How did you edit all the air out of this interview? Is there an easy way to do this?
Do you mean how did we remove all the dead space or pauses? Our editor took a few days to go through the raw footage. We also edited out at least 30 minutes of content.
@@Buzzsprout wow! That’s some really amazing editing. I assumed the editor used an app or something. Thanks!
