I can only imagine the PTSD that comes along with that horrible experience. All three of these situations are nightmares and I'm gland they were able to come out of that situation.
Having someone to fight for is so important to survival. We found out we were pregnant with our son the day before I began chemotherapy. Without a doubt that was key to be able to keep fighting. I have an immediate gratitude and overwhelming sense of connection to Martin as my sisters were both there that night but were fortunate enough to be a few boxes/rows away from the foyer/blast area. I thank my older sister for the safety of both of them and her friend as she immediately went into survival mode and stopped them from running away with the crowds, risking being trampled or running towards a second bomb. the delay of them leaving the arena probably also stopped them from seeing the graphic sights and preventing any visual PTSD. my heart goes out to Martin and Eve as well as all others who were affected!
