This is my favorite love song of all time. I can't even explain why. It just strikes a perfect chord in me. I listen to it over and over and over, and never get tired of it. Donny's version is my favorite. Whitney's cover is a close second. It just moves me perfectly. Thank you Donny

He was so gifted! He played piano on his songs too. Look up his duets with Roberta Flack as well. Tragically, he suffered from clinical depression, and committed suicide.

This song was written by Leon Russell. A great songwriter. You should react to his song Tight Rope.

This is a gem. Love Donny Hathaway. You have got to listen to "Love, Love,Love" or "Some day we'll all be free" by Donny Hathaway.

Donny is a legendary part of the soul & r&b legacy, who was an extraordinary musician as well. His collaborations with Roberta Flack, especially Where Is The Love & The Closer I Get To You, might be more well know to popular audiences back in ‘79’s but as mentioned, left his beautiful work. R.I.P. :
    Someday We’ll All Be Free
    This Christmas
    Others with Roberta:
    Back Together Again
    You Are My Heaven
Check Christina Aguilera’s with jazz great Herbie Hancock on A Song For You.
His daughter Lalah (lay -la) Hathaway. Eh had a hit called, Something, & she performed an incredible remix with Snarky Puppy , with mind blowing vocal work.

This is the first time I've heard this version...but man this song gets me every time. "I love you in a place where there's no space or time, I love you for my life, cuz you're a friend of mine". Deep & beautiful.

When you were playing Hello It's Me sung by the Isley Brothers, it was originally sung by Todd Rundgren. I hope you'll listen to his version. It's great.

This is my top 3 favorite songs ever, and if you get a chance check out Sylvester & Eric Robinson's Live version, but this song, and how Mr. Hathaway sings it (and seeing how it clearly affected you young men)... it's too deep for words.

I have always loved Donny Hathaway's beautiful version of this song. Everything I ever heard from Donny was incredible. I do not wish to take anything away from Donny's version, but I will always love the original version by the great Leon Russell. His version will always be my favorite.
