- Comparing the Insta360 X4 vs the GoPro Hero 12! The X4 not only shoots in 360 but it can shoot just like the GoPro. Plus you can switch lenses to the front/back so you wouldn’t need to turn the camera around to film yourself. Also, putting it down on a table gets a better elevated shot. On the GoPro, you will see more of the table/surface.

GoPro is slowly fading into oblivion. They can't compete (or keep up) with DJI and Insta360 devices.

Why are all X4 pro videos promoted?
they have good camera and they're winning the marketing war agaist gopro. The reality is different as u can see in amazon sells and reviews (only this month gopro 12 sold double compared to insta360)
i like gopro, but some competition is good for us consumer, especially since the gopro didn't change a thing in the last 3 gopros (hero 10-12)

I still have a GoPro 7 I need an upgrade. I don’t know now how GoPro doing. I still have 7 because it’s durable. It fell so many times even when I’m riding a motorbike, got water even salty water and still works. I think you buy a GoPro because of the durability. Insta for 360 cam. Dj for high quality.

Ive had gopros since the first ever one. Now ive swithched to dji osmo. The 3 is better than the 4 ( i own both ) and the quality of the footage is very good, plus smaller and cheaper than the chunky gopros these days. Only downside is dji is not as rugged as go pro. I lost the door on my dji 3 for instsnce. And spare doors do not exist. Still works, just has no door now.
@@vlnow thank you for your experience with the dji. I’m still looking for un upgrade. My hero 7 still works but the battery will last about 30 min max and it’s long process to change the battery. Not difficult but long. So my question for you. I have the GoPro accessories like the helmet mount and so on. Are they compatible with the dji? Thank you.
I love gopro but I’ve finally made the jump over to Insta360 and I don’t regret it one bit. Their app is far superior than gopro’s, even with the subscription there’s no competition.
I recommend getting either the X4 or Go 3s. I own both which is over kill but I love the flexibility of 360 footage and having a tiny camera for creative shots. If it’s not for you, return it or exchange it for a gopro.

I’m still using my GoPro because it’s still functioning even with the abuses 😅 I know I have to be careful but accidents happens and sometimes you cannot control it. The thing is the durability and the parts that I’m interested. If I’m only going to vlog for example I just buy a normal camera not an action cam.
Insta has nailed the software for the most part (let's see colour grading in Studio!). GoPro app was always unusable for me.

Insta is great but you still have to pay for diamonds to use the filters but you rarely use them anyway so

the wide perspective even in single lens mode sucks, wide perspective is nice but you dont want it like that for your entire video
I brought my x4 yesterday. Go pro never more. On Go pro 12, they gave ridiculous excuses to remove sensors and even that more expensive, treating us like a fools. Go pro never more.

GoPro is becoming the Nokia of point-and-shoot cameras. Literally just sat in its laurels and failed to innovate as time passed. I really can't justify buying the Hero 12 given the versatility and price point advantages of the X4 and it's a really fun action cam that I don't really need to be an expert to use its features.
