I just had a breakdown at clinical yesterday and I’m feeling defeated and embarrassed. it was a really good day too watched pic line g tube insertion. Doctor and nurses both great teachers that guided us well.when I got down to watch though already I was getting teary eyed and trying not to lose it. My bfs auntie is dying of lung cancer.and last weeks actual pt dying of cancer did not make me lose it,but this weeks picc insertion related to stomach ulcer secondary to gastric bypass that made me think of dying aunts sister who had the procedure made me lose it. I know I care about patients and the aha moments in school and clinical is so rewarding but I really don’t wanna lose it like this ...
Gin Vien Your sorrow is understandable. Don’t feel bad for getting upset. Explain your situation and feelings to friends, lab partners, teachers, family, etc. Get help from others so you can stay strong enough to get through nursing school 💗
Its so crazy to see that nursing is a study with a university degree in every other country but in germany you get kind of like a 3 year schooling at a special nursing school but there‘s no College for nursing at all

Be careful taking an antihistamine and wearing CTL, Antihistamines will dry your eyes out, even if you don’t feel discomfort from it. Using a preservative free eye drop QAM/QHS to make sure you don’t get any corneal issue with your CTL! 😊
Sandy L it’s in the ophthalmology speciality. Since we do the medical side of ophthalmology as well as bringing optometry to the practice, we use a lot of abbreviations like CTL or GLX for glasses! :)
