Excellent job being done by MAF ; ALL Papua New Guineans ought to be proud, we have you around - the missing link, our politicians must walk the talk by giving 101% support to MAF in its work. Thanks. John Tokunai.
Those Pratt & Whitney turbo prop engines are just so reliable - amazing - the pilots put all their faith in them - this guy is so thorough and so knowledgeable of the local terrain - just not anybody could fly a plane out there - greetings from Philippines
Ryan, It's good to see the locals are still growing small crops of Kofi. Brings back memories of my time as a kofi buyer. Excellent flight back to Goroka. Thanks for the ride, stay safe.
Hi.im from the Philippines. This is my first time here in your blog.im interested when i saw this,The scenery of the environment is beautiful,i love it.keep safe always.
Appreciate your approach to video portrial of mission avaition usi9ng the Kodiak. Dave Voetmann the original visionary, and I were MAF pilots; when on furloo together in the 80s, I saw him draw on napkins what became the Kodiak, along with Tom Hamilton. Dave paswswed to Flory a few months ago; having servied strong and true.
May I add my comment too by saying that this is a Beautiful video ! God , Bless this Man who is doing a good job of helping community. Watching from KENYA 🇰🇪 I Love ❤️✔️ you all.
Conflicting emotions. Love the PNG footage and anticipate more PNG vlogs on your return, but also love the Arizona Kitfox vids. Don't want to give up one to get another. How about non stop flying in the States to build up an inventory like you had for PNG to help wean us off our addiction?
I wish I could too. Flying in the States has found to be harder to do than I thought. Either too windy to do the things I want to, or can't connect with friends to fly.
I know this sounds weird, but I could smell those coffee beans as they were being onloaded. I've been around coffee roasting facilities before, and that quickened the memory. I know what it smells like, both before and during roasting. This was pleasant!
The bags of coffee looked familiar. I went to Gualcinse, Honduras on mission trips 5 years in a row. They stored their coffee bags in the local churches until a truck came by to pick them up. They used tan colored bags. Those of us in the mission group always brought back roasted coffee from Gualcinse. It was so good. If I didn't go anywhere until the next trip, I'd open my suitcase up & it smelled like coffee. God bless your mission work in PNG.
Love you video's mate, top notch!!!! am in the process of getting my pilots license and get great inspiration from watching your content, would love to fly in PNG one day and do some volunteering for the locals, love your work mate
Hello Bush, greetings, I just discovered your channel. Very interesting and very necessary. Thank you for what you do, I was a volunteer in Cuba and Brazil, hopefully one day I can do some good in Africa. I live in Kentucky, please receive a hug and our appreciation for what you do.
I cannot tell you how many times this aircraft has killed me in the sim. On take off I would get to 150-200 ft, the nose would pitch up rapidly the left wing would stall and I would go into the ground near vertical nose down. What stunned me was how quickly it would happen and how nothing I did would save me. My main mistakes were, well my main one was assuming that the aircraft flew like any other aircraft. I had read enough Flying Magazine articles to know that you always get checked out in a new aircraft and even have an instructor or experienced pilot in the type for your first few flights. First mistake was taking off with flaps 10 and not flaps 20. I was stunned when I saw you did this. Second mistake was trimming nose up for takeoff not realising that the Kodiak uses lots of nose down trim for takeoff. Third mistake not putting in any right rudder trim. I don't know if this was a contributor to the crashes on takeoff but it sure made the aircraft easier to fly on takeoff. Now I can takeoff at MGTOW without killing myself and rotate near the speeds you mention. Thanks a lot. I fly your routes a lot these days. I've been flight simming for 29 years this month. It's so important for simmers like me to know which airport you are flying into and out if. It also helps to know the date so we can use a weather app like XEnviro which has historical weather so we can fly those routes with the same weather conditions. Fuel and payload also helps with realism. Thanks. 👌
You should get my FS course for the Kodiak. The link is in the description of my videos and it will greatly help you with your skills flying the Kodiak. It will be on sale Cyber Monday
Used to fly into Komo from Moresby with Air Nuigini, this was for the gas plant up in Hides. Worked with many guys from Goroka, great people......the coffee was pretty good too.
How much does this plane cost in brand new? I think this is a solid plane as it is being used by most people in the most remote places where the air strips is very limited.
Looking at the bouncy and sloping landings on those small upland landing strips I wonder how the feeling would be similar to an aircraft carrier in a rough sea but sithout an arrester cable?
Thank novembre tango kilo thanks very mutch for your video ,i hope and wish you have time and opportunité to visite the hills with this forsest i imagine it must be wild and wonderfull .God bless you missionary and bless all the papua christians.❤😊 jésus is great
And now that you very experienced with our (PNG) terrain flying anywhere overseas would be a breeze since you have seen the worst and best terrain as to offer.
My only thought was that there was coffee in those bags. It's nice seeing PNG and maybe one of these days I will visit there when I'm in the Philippines so it's not too far to go there.
Good morning Ryan from Melbourne Australia. I have been a private pilot for 50 years and love riding with you in PNG. I have a family friend who is a RC Brother, and he regularly has to go to Aitape. He fly's to Weewak and then has to endure a 6 to 7 hour drive to Aitape. He tells me that there is a WW2 strip close to Aitape at Tadji. Have you flown into there or is the strip unserviceable? My family friend would love to be able to fly in to Tadji. Safe flying, Rick P.
@@MissionaryBushPilot Thank you for your reply Ryan. Aitape is on the North Coast approx half way between Weewak and the border of West Papua. Fly safe, Rick.
Thanks!
WOW Thanks!

I love how you watch the engine parameters like a hawk until the engine has been idling for tens of seconds.
Thank you brother! Keep up the tremendous work with the Mission and may God always be ur "pilot" keeping you safe wherever the job takes you...
