- Here's a quick demo running like drums through the SSL SiX and slamming the compressor! This is a rough but it will give you some ideas on the capabilities of this superior compact analog mixer.

Comment or leave some questions on what actions you'd like to see a video of.
To my ears, that's the best sounding mix I've heard so far using the SiX. (I'm more partial to funk) I'll
either gonna get the SiX or the SSL Nucleus.
which did you opt for in the end? I'm thinking a SiX and SSL UF8 Mixer will still come in under the price of the Nucleus...
Thank you, the G Comp elevates it to a different level.
No doubt!!! 🙏🏿👑🙏🏿
Your SSL’s best salesman in America.........time for them to send you some bling! Seriously, Thankyou! for taking the time and effort to video your SSL journey. AND, time for me to start figuring out a way to get one too. I’m looking forward to your future posts. Dave
Thank u Brother Dave! Make sure you tell the good guys in Oxford that too lol! I appreciate you taking the time to check me out. Keep it funky brother!
Thanks for not talking and just showing us how you get down on it. Loved what I heard
Best comment! 😂😂😂🥂
subbed! I have an Apollo twin and your videos are helping in stirring up the courage to purchase an SSL SiX. Keep the content coming!
G comp on the bass makes my heart so happy
Would love to hear that live or a mix down of it! Fantastic.
I just ordered one because of your video (Andy from SSL will be jealous lol) . . . even with the room recording it is possible to hear what the mixer is doing to the mix . . . awesome
Whoever is playing the drums is a badass. Sounds great. Funky and groovy baby. Nice video
that sounds like nice analogue glue to me, crisp fat 80s goodness, rock on :)
Solid state logic owe you a check. I already purchased the Six however I look forward to your videos on RUclips.
Nothin but luv Kobi my boy. #100
Working on how to set this up with my MV-8000 & W30 ! I’m new to this but your vids are inspirational AF!!!!! Thanks
Thanks for checkin me out brother!
Sounds dope. RIP Lady T.
Love this tune and you're doing it justice. Squarrrrrrrrrre biz:)
🙏🏿👑🙏🏿
Yeah okay, that sounds great... I'm sold on these.
I too got an apollo twin. i am getting one in the next week or so.
You wont be sorry! Keep on jammin bro!
I can not wait
Straight jammin mane
Outstanding but needs quantizing...Also, if home recordist dont have this or better..theyre falling behind. If you bought that G-Bus alone it would cost about 2k (according too SSLs site)...with this you get the super analog pres...a little EQ with it..the next best thing wd be Allen & Heath or Soundcraft..I wd say SSL is above both of them sonic wise
Funny before the bass came in I said to myself that sounds like the drum groove from Square Biz.
Square Business. Dope.
Funky!
great demo!
Thanks family.
Nice 👍🏾
that basssss
Very cool! You using multiple mics? If so are they going through Apollo first, bc it’s very limited with inputs. Thanks!!
Are you in with it yet? Sounds great from here..Am thinking of selling my allen and heath gsr24m and scale down(in size only) to teh six. What do you think? Nick from UK but living in Germany
Love it man! Dive in!!!!
Is that a real drum set or plug in like addictive drums or drums designer?
All live drums!
Nice !square biz
Subbed immediately 🙈🙈
I love mine! How have you connected it? db25?
1/4 inch.
@@LavaLampZone You should make a video showcasing your routing and explain your work flow I can learn a lot!
@@buildusarocket3410 I have in my other videos. Have you watched?
@@LavaLampZone I SHALL! thanks a lot sire :)
@@LavaLampZone I just went through them, yess I have :)
Hey! you down to share how you routed everything? By the way this video has crazy externalization on the audio - wearing headphones and it sounds like its coming out of my monitors (psuedo binaural effect) somehow.
Yo check this out. Let me know if this help or if you need more detail. 🙏🏿 ruclips.net/video/Y3G3AMQIyfA/видео.html
Lava Lamp Zone Recordings sick that should do it! Was curious how you decided to go about it. Thanks dude
@@overworldxr6949 💯
are you summing your mix into the ssl six? just curious about your signal flow and the use of the mixer here. thanks!
That's correct!
Lava Lamp Zone word. These drums sound incredible! I'm thinking of snagging this as a summing mixer out from my uad x8p.. this or the ssl desk, which might be overkill.
@@planedefiler great idea!🤙🏿🥂
in love with it I meant..
Loving it Nick! Could sit here for hours and mix on this thing.
After watching your vids im gonna take one home and try it out..the mix bus comp seems to do its job just right through my cans..
@@nizman1000 🎯 you won't be let down.
🕺🏽
Is it a big hassle to reconfigure it for mixdown or are you already on top it..
No hassles, just some routing, i/o settings in your DAW and BOOM!
Thanks for this demo?
How did you connect via Apollo Twin to SIX?
Can you demo the LMC on snare drum?
There's another video on my page showing the routing setup I used.

Is the G bus compressor detented (for easy recall)?
Do you have Instagram? Nice work
a room recording and no direct audio showcasing an audio mixer of the higher grade makes no sense. nice work but bad sound recording quality. if i turn the volume up the swell in the aprox. 100-300 hz is making me dizzy
Thanks!
Kick has a very ugly ringing...
To each it's own. 🤷🏿♂️
