You were ferried from the wrong Boating Point, that is not originally Dawki and therefore you're charged costly for ₹2000/- for boating.. But, if you're ferrying from actual Dawki Boating Point ( .) itself it cost you ₹800/- only per boat as it is a Government Registered Tourist Spot
@@sharanyashyamdas Hi! Yeah u r right ₹2000 you were charged for 2 boats from that PVT. OWNER'S POINT. @@ksreedharangayathri Hi, ours was a 5D/4N trip and we stayed in Shillong for 1st and 4th day and in Cherrapunjee for 2nd and 3rd day. We stayed at The Abode in Shillong and Cordial Hotel in Cherrapunjee.
@@padmaangmo9313 Hi! We stayed in Cherrapunji. It was only 10-12 kms away from Nongriat. We had rented a car, so we drove from cherrapunji to nongriat.
@@vijaysaikrishnavsuri557 Hi! The total trip costed us Rs. 30k-35k per person, out of which Rs. 20k was for flights and Rs. 10k-15k for expenses in Meghalaya.
Great video! Few questions--1) Did you carry raincoats and sticks to Cherrapunji or buy it locally? If the latter, pls can you share details? 2) Any good places to stay in Cherrapunji for a family of 4? Any family friendly + Veg & Non-Veg friendly restaurants/dhabas you recommend in Cherrapunji? Wondering which month did you go? We are going in mid-dec. Weather/Temperature ?? Thanks for the video :)
@@SSLKO55 Thank you! Glad it helped! 1) We bought plastic raincoats from a local shop in Cherrapunji. Raincoats were sold out in most shops and we got an overpriced one for 250 rupees. So best if you can bring yourself. Plastic raincoats are available on amazon from Rs. 50. We rented walking sticks from nongriat trek starting point for Rs. 30. 2) We stayed at Cordial hotel in Cherrapunji. It was economical and rooms were very clean. I'd also recommend Beach Bliss resort, Cherrapunjee holiday resort or Sulawado resort if they are available. 3) Most restaurants are veg friendly. Orange roots restaurant was a good pure veg option for thalis, dosas etc. Chinese food is most common there and non veg available in plenty.
@@SSLKO55 We visited during the last week of October. Weather was changing drastically. It was sunny in Shillong, cloudy in Dawki, and heavily raining in cherrapunji. The temperature was cold enough in October and we were wearing sweaters/jackets in dawki and cherrapunji. Advised to bring monkey caps and earplugs for kids.
Very informative. We are also planning to visit in Dec 1st week. I have few queries: 1. Did u face any issue with car rental in the area? Is it safe with local people? 2. I understand that no need to stay in Shillong throughout the trip, rather keep on moving and staying in cherrapunji and other spots. Pls confirm. 3. Any hotel recommendations in Shillong?
