    👁 About this video : In today's video it's time to upgrade the exhaust system on my Toyota Tacoma!! We actually worked with Magnaflow for some of the R&D as far as sending pictures and dimensions for the fitment of this overland series performance exhaust! This high tuck system is designed for the off-roader, however it can be fitted to stock trucks as well! If you have a high clearance bumper like I do and want that clean look, but also the function of an exhaust you won't damage on the trails, this is a great option! This all new exhaust system also has three different configurations depending on the sound you would like! It can go from a moderate tone to an aggressive tone to the most aggressive with the easy switch of a few clamps and pipes! It's great to see that once the full system is installed on the truck, then you can decided to change up the sound and instead of taking a few hours to install, in about 10 minutes or so, you can change out the sound and head out!! On camera the sound doesn't really come across, but in the moderate configuration, the truck still had a great tone, louder than the stock system but under acceleration it wasn't obnoxious or too loud and cruising around 50 mph, it went away, no drone or any noise from the exhaust. The next level, aggressive, it made it slightly louder, even under acceleration, but again at 50 mph, no drone and you could barely hear the exhaust. The most aggressive setting didn't change the start up much or the revs, and it was louder under acceleration and I would say a "mild" drone at 50 mph, you could definitely hear the exhaust, but it wasn't intrusive or in your head. With the exhaust going all the way to the rear bumper almost, it really takes the noise and puts it as far from the cabin as possible so drone is really not there. I am keeping the exhaust in the most aggressive setup as of now and don't plan on changing that. If I do, I will make updates on Instagram, but I do like how it sounds and it's a great exhaust for the Tacoma because you can change it up when you want and no other exhaust on the market has that capability!!

    We purchased one of these systems for our 05-15 Tacoma. Magnaflow makes it so it will fit ALL models with the 4.0L V6. We have a Tacoma with a 2.7L I-4. The only difference is the flange that connects the system to the factory connection. No biggie I had the factory flange changed. Our 2.7L Taco is supercharged w/ new to be released Magnuson Supercharger & equal length header. Sadly with the Supercharged 2.7L & header this system makes Women & Children run for their life’s at anything over 35 to 4k RPM’s. I’ve added another muffler 5x8x14 in front but it’s making Women & Children run! But it doesn’t drone!

    Okay, I am a little confused. I went to Magnaflow's website and called Magnaflow customer service and both say that the overland series DOES NOT fit a 2020 Tacoma TRD OR? But if you look at "vehicle fitment" on Magnaflow's website it says it fits the 2020 TRD OR? Then if you enter that vehicle information into the website to check fitment it says it does not fit? I have a 2020 Tacoma TRD OR which obviously is a quad cab with 5' bed, I am assuming your truck is the same dimensions, did you have to do any modifications not shown in the video to make this fit? Thanks!

  • @prepareandprotect
    @prepareandprotect 3 года назад +3

    New exhaust sounds good. Being able to change the drone part is awesome. For some it will not bother them but for others the drone can drive you nuts. Challenge for you;
    Since you have the Pedal Commander now and see how it functions for you, find a Tuner in your area and get the KD Max tune and take off the PC to see which you think is better for Auto Tacoma’s. No one has done that yet that I know of on You Tube so it will be a first to compare them. You can go back to stock easily and I bet you can find a Tuner that will work with you video wise too. Just a suggestion for a very informative video.

    • @BrosFOURRSpeed

      Even with the loudest setup I haven't noticed any drone! Maybe it's because I was used to a louder system! But it's nice to be able to quickly change that! That could be a good idea! Technically a cat-back exhaust can't void any warranty, it's just piping. Unless a mechanic can diagnose an exhaust did something to mess up a vehicle, which it wouldn't, there's not reason to worry. If you started doing new headers and all that, possibly, but a normal cat-back is fine.

    • @BrosFOURRSpeed
      @BrosFOURRSpeed  3 года назад +1

      It mounts the same as any other exhaust system would so not sure what you mean by that. I would be able to offroad anywhere and the midwest winter would effect it maybe, but it's stainless steel so it would be able to hold up to those conditions.

    • @square1bmxrider
      @square1bmxrider 2 года назад

      @@BrosFOURRSpeed I believe he is referring to the mounting of the NDT as its only supported by the piping itself and could sag or break off due to corrosion over time, add in off-roading vibrations and its even worse. They should add a support bracket on the muffler body to support the NDT with a clamp. Edit, I know its Stainless Steel but the grade used in exhausts isn't that great and the constant heat cycling will lead to rust over time.
