This has just a revised motor from the previous Versa with multipoint instead of gdi. The rest is fine as it was updated.
The reasons is why it is a bargain is because it is under power(when you go up the hills), it has a crap cvt transmission(making that droning sound) and it has a drum brakes which don't have good braking power(the brakes fades in stop and go traffic comparing to disc brakes).

All they ever talk about with cars these days is safety tech, but nobody mentions the overall structure. New vehicles are rather flimsy and full of plastic. I'm sorry but if you get hit, you need more than lane departure, and forward collision assist. You need a vehicle that will shield the occupants inside.

Indeed the manual is a better unit than that crappy CVT, and the purchase price is about 900$ cheaper! More fun to drive with the stick and far far more reliable too.
@@AlaskaErik In amerimutt land, that is. Manual is superior in almost every way - provided that you're skilled in using it.
I purchased a brand new versa in 2015 and was told that the car would do up to 40 mpg hwy. I travel hwy to work and back everyday and drive very humbly! i never hit over 29 mpg which was a big let down!! over all i liked the car! but i question the 40 mpg quote!
2012 Versa owner. Manual. I average 46-48 mpg during the summer months. I've never averaged less than 40. Did you ever reset your average mpg reading?
@@wesc.addle.9789 Yes i did! Every fillup. Mine is also an automatic.
@@gonzed11 Hmm. That's strange. Do you still have car?
@@wesc.addle.9789 No i dont..but im contemplating the new one. But that expirience makes me think twice. I even took it to the dealer and they said it was getting what it was supposed too! ??? 29? Doesnt make sense.
ah ha, finally found a versa that looks like mine! Didn't realize I had the 'S' version, seems to be a strange hyvbrid between the other models. wish I had some of the other features, but probably not worth the extra $5K+ to get 'em. Although mine doesn't have the center armrest console, so that's still different, hmm. This one was within my budget, got it from Carvana, delivered just yesterday :). great video, thanks for explaining everything, my last car was from 2006 so all the new tech is crazy cool! :) I keep purposely crossing the middle lane just to feel my steering wheel vibrate/warn me and giggle hehe.
Good review 👍. Is rear collision warning the same as backup sensors?
6:10. What’s the little grey button under the ignition button?
I like where they put the ignition button but the scroll button is awkwardly placed.
I never gave these a second glance but your review showed me it’s a nice little car.
I couldn’t help notice the grey car next to the Versa. Do you know what it is? Looked sharp.
Nissan should offer a limited edition Vice Versa. 😂🤣
that's a cap, you stick a flat screwdriver in it to manually release the shifter in case of a flat battery
The vehicle has regular parking sensors and Rear Automatic Braking which will pull the engine brake once you get to close to a stationery object while backing up
Also the silver car is a new Altima
Its a versa thats why lol
Brunner213 😂😂😂
Personally got a 2015 versa. Only problem I’ve had with it is the PDM pooping itself one time. Otherwise some sound system upgrades and sound deadening super reliable and cheap to own. Learned to drive in the same car, now I own it. Admittedly very gutless, but it’s a cvt, whatcha expect?
Is the base model comes with the safety features? Or is that an additional features? For 14.000 car.
And screw cvt transmissions!! More problems are gonna happen with all these different variable functioning transmissions!!
Hey, CVTs are the best, my altima just hit 150km and it still rocks !!
@@moayadgh6204 I agree.My 2016 Maxima is at 180000 km.No problems
@@chromieeee sorry, CVTs are the best of the best
@@kevinisenzo7945 god bless you and your maxima ^_^
Moayad AlGhamdi 150,000km isn’t even broken in for most cars buddy. CVT’s are shit
I’d lease this for 120 month for 36 months 15k miles allowed and 0 down 👍 and keep my 2001 Porsche 9ll for weekend 👊
Actually smart
I’d drive it, wouldn’t like it, but I’d drive it.
10:28 a really good warranty? Yeah the warranty on the POS CVT is just fantastic...
Nice Review Ben....
Only good thing about this car: It still has an old-fashioned hand brake.
I like the new nissan versa 2020. I have a question. Does that verstion become from Mexico factory?
Great review,thanks
I got a 2012 1.6 S it’s a good daily driver and gets good mileage but that’s pretty much it 😂
All you need
Casa Cambio yeah but imma get a Maxima soon as my daily and a 350 Z as my project car 👀🔥
Diablo that’s what I’m talking about might get a g35 coupe or 350z as a project as well bro👀
Trav Scott I might Stance the Versa too idk yet tho 😂
This is all I want and need in a car.
I think it's amazing car
the sad part of the versa I had a 2015 versa and traded it for a different car but the sad part the car was zippy the only issue I had with the 2020 versa it felt like the same car that I alright had. and i wanted something different but say what will about CVT i have never experience a problem with them * Knock on wood*
Versa...how is it only $14,000?
Easy, just put a crappy, cheap, JATCO cvt transmission and you couldn't give these things away.
The Scruff I don’t like the Nissan cvts either, but I mean they do offer a manual for even less
I have this car as a rental while my 5.0 is in the shop and smh this car is trash... it’s 4 cheap movie theatre seats on some lawn mower suspension with a horrid transmission that grinds and skips into gears ... literally 0-60 in 14 seconds complete trash thank god I don’t own one
You can get a 5 speed ya know
@@davidm5853 This is a economy car your expectations should be okay I know this is gonna be a cheap car that's why your shitbox mustang is in the shop.
@@davidm5853 You don't Know much about cars u just have a fast cars and think your the shit A CVT HAS NO GEARS
Looks so much better with this new face lift. The old ones were soooooo fugly.
Compared to the fugly previous version this looks cool however for 14K I find it lackluster from a performance perspective. I bought a turbocharged gdi car brand new for just 3.3K more. This has just a revised motor from the previous Versa with multipoint instead of gdi. The rest is fine as it was updated.
If you can get this car in a manual I would say go for it if not don’t get the auto version the cvt transmissions are garbage
HI, Which Camera are you using to capture the video?
Tam Nguyen canon eos m50
Steering wheel airbags have gotten so tiny 🥺
love the eye damaging headlights. what r these engineer geniuses thinking?
frank brown they thought it’d be better to see the roads
@@iiplaya yup. u can see the roads so much better when u're constantly blinded by on oncoming headlights. perfect sense.
Does this car still come with the 4 speed auto option?
you would think after 12 years of shitty transmissions they would go away with them
Push Start button on the center 😜
Watch out when you have passenger who love touching stuff when car running 60 mph.
Pretty sure that would break something in the drive train immediately lol
The reasons is why it is a bargain is because it is under power(when you go up the hills), it has a crap cvt transmission(making that droning sound) and it has a drum brakes which don't have good braking power(the brakes fades in stop and go traffic comparing to disc brakes).
Would rather get a Honda Fit for 2k more
Bro this car is very similar to my 2003 altima in terms of the cheap quality
Whoever wants to buy a Nissan, don’t. A golf cart costs the same and it’s infinitely more reliable. Spend the little extra and get a Toyota or Honda. Nissans are endless money pits
All they ever talk about with cars these days is safety tech, but nobody mentions the overall structure. New vehicles are rather flimsy and full of plastic. I'm sorry but if you get hit, you need more than lane departure, and forward collision assist. You need a vehicle that will shield the occupants inside.
I thought the SR is the only one with adaptive Cruze.
14K is to cheap for a car..... we need to keep prices at a normal 17-20k cause then alot of people will buy cheap cars and in 6 years dump them making the car market drop that car in 6 years is worth 4-5 grand.
Utah? Boo ya...subscribed!

The Nissan Versas in the Philippines are AT , not cvt.
