I think we need to put presh button on every test, i checked on the back side even without cable it was showing 2000 megha ohm. It's wrong measurement

Hey Sir, Very Informative video I like it.
I have 1 question what should be the maximum value when the cable is perfect your IR Meter is showing 2000mega ohm it is fixed value for this cable only or every cable have different value in mega ohm (cause in damage cable we will get zero value)

Yes for every cable it is different. For big xlpe cable it should be more than 80megaohm. For small wire more than 2 mega ohm is also good incase of final circuit connected in connector

You are correct, however I need to clarify why I mentioned megger here. My channel gives the practical knowledge when an engineer passed out and join industry there at site, supervisor and electrician used this name and even they don’t know IR at this time it is engineers responsibility to know that in general language what people use it. Other wise many people who has less knowledge mock at him. So my aim is to just show what is popular in practical. Theoretical knowledge is available everywhere.

I think it's wrong. When you disconnect probes from its need to shoe 0. When you connect probes to the cable it's needs to show some value. But. It's always show. 2000mega home. How it possible?

You are right in some aspect. But here the megger I am using can detect max 2000MOhm if the resistance is more than that it shows 2000MOHM, you can watch my 2nd video in that i showed live, Megger testing in DB , there you can see the various value is coming
