So what is the point of the halogen bulb? I know the HID is the low and high beam, so why is there another halogen? In the owner's manual it says it's a high beam, but that might just be for the base model that doesn't have the auto bending light? Tried getting new bulbs last night and of course the youngster at O'Reillys was tryinv to argue it doesn't take HID and they're aftermarket. -_-
I bought second hand the whole headlight to replace on my Volvo.( both of them)The new one is HID. I done the swapping and i have light only in signal, warning lights, but the HID lights (low beam , high beam not working at all) . I asked the guy i bought them from, what's going on, why is not working and his reply was: "In Volvo, you need to download the software to your computer. Read on the Internet. " Now, is this true?!
We just bought a '08 XC90 today and it needs some lights replaced. Sheesh! $100 for one headlight bulb. Thanks for the how-to guide. 👍

So. How to release the connector to the HID bulb unit? How to actually remove the HID bulb unit from the headlight? what a useless video.
