I'm surprised that no one is talking about how much evolved the character of Ton. He literally was who inspired Retsuko to sing.
Am I the only one that actually really loved this season. It was legit everything. It’s true that I thought there could’ve been more episodes but, to know that both Retsy and Haida got what they wanted, a life together is just great! This was a story of there young adult life, funny, chaotic, a love rollercoaster but also a meaningful journey where they grew to know themselves and each other more. I really loved this season and I’ll greatly miss aggretsuko and I couldn’t be more happier for Haida and Retsy❤🎉😊
Who remembers when Retskuo wanted to get married and be provided for? They kinda forgot that in the last couple seasons,,,,

i'm not sure why this season is getting hate. i thought this represented young adult life well and we got the happy ending with both haida and retsuko.

I love Ton's reaction, he is a jerk, but he has evolved a lot through the seasons and i love it, he passed from an antagonist in some way to a guy who helps in the worst moments

Ton is all about respect. He respects Retsuko because she does stand up to him, and he calls her out when she doesn't. In a way, he's the ultimate father figure, or perhaps big brother, treating her harshly, but there for her when she needs it.
@@mechakid I'd say more of a mentor, because he looks at her and sees the same sort of potential he had back in the day, but honestly I'd say its a blend of all three. Hell, the fact that when he thought she was caught up in a scam the first thing he wanted to do was help bail her out of it says it all.
I'd dare to say that the show would not have progressed without Ton, I think he's actually one of the most important characters

It’s incredible how they made simple designs look so cool with some lighting, music and timing.
I like the evolution of Retsuko, from not even capable of talking what she thinks about the behaviors of her companions to sing in front of them all and no shame of singing with the metal voice.
This is called maturity, when you stop lying and denying to yourself for keeping apparences and accept yourself with no fear

I LOVED THIS SEASON, i'm gonna miss the series.
I know it was rushed from half to the end, but i felt like the loose ends were tied, and all the characters shown through the five seasons were there, which was just fantastic for the series finale.

I LOVE THAT HAIDA AND RETSUKO GOT MARRIED!!! I thought this season was so nice to see them in a relationship, watching them support each other and act as a team. Seeing Retsuko worried over Haida wishing to quit because he was in danger was adorable. I am pleased at the finale. It was a ride that I enjoyed and a bittersweet feeling that I know it's over.
Ikr! This season really made it clear Haida and Retsuko are meant to be - I loved how due to their life together it was shown they are so much alike - having similar thoughts/feelings/ect. Also they supported each other in such a sweet way and grew out of their insecurities (like when Haida said it's okay for Tadano to call Retsuko by her nickname, meaning he doesn't feel insecure about being inferior to Tadano). They literally have such a good chemistry while not even being lovey-dovey, omg.

Personally I think we need ONE MORE THING to tie everything up. Maybe an OVA special to show Retsuko and Haida learning to be a married couple and dealing with each others in laws, as well as getting some closure on some of the side characters. I feel like we need just ONE MORE THING to end it all.

Living in Japan I can say....I loved each season for what they were. Each season tackled its own subject matter. Not trying to gate keep, but it has a different feel when you live and see it day in and day out. Seeing what my wife went through working in an office here was eye opening for instance.
So many times I've been disappointed with shows and how they end... especially with Netflix. But I really am satisfied with how they decided to wrap this up. Even if there were some things unresolved.

I went from hating Ton to loving him, best character development. He really reminds me of my dad, might be a straight up jerk but always give me good advices and tough love to push me further.
What made the diss about her co-workers so great is that it also serves as a recap to all the things she has been through since season 1 and it's a recap done so seemingly well
This season went beyond that simply re create the standard life and its stressful rythm. This season was about EXPRESSION and STAND against what repression of the emotions we have. Simply beatiful
Love this season so much!!! Not only was it entertaining, but they also used to take a political stance. The current economic conditions and work culture is something everyone should be angry about, and it was an awesome meta way of making a rally cry for change. 10/10 for me.
The switch from "normal voice" to "loudspeaker voice" was SPICY. Really loved this whole scene.
This is the Only Anime that made me happy to watch. I knew and I am really happy about Retsuko and Haida marriage. They are very good characters. I almost cried after watching to the end. It was a great journey for me and for all. 🥲

In s span of a minute, this went from what I feared would've been cringe to possibly the best scene of the season.
Loved seeing Retsuko singing for once and not just Aggretsuko.
Gotta love that Ton is the only one excited her metal voice is about to come out.

アニメアグレッシブ烈子の最後のテーマが「政治や社会への怒り」っていうのは原点回帰のようですごくよかった。
烈子が突然政治家を目指すっていうのは唐突すぎたけど、烈子のキャラクターのコンセプトは「若者が抱える漠然とした葛藤や怒り」であるという事を考えるとここが終着点だったのは納得がいく。

Years of being a Haida apologist finally pays off. It’s clear as a crystal that he got his redemption arc. I told the haters to wait and see, and here it is. I even defended him during his worst arc (season 3-4) and I’m so glad I was right all along.
It's interesting that Ton just TAKES IT and seems almost proud of her insults.

@@xela4183 I kinda see the ending as symbolic. Earlier this season Tadano reading a manga called attack on Brighton. What I’m saying it’s starts well enough then drops the ball at the end. So the nicest thing I can say about this season is it ended things now so it wouldn’t get any worse seasons.

More than Haida and Retsuko getting together, what I loved in their relationship is how everything felt so natural in this season. At some point they started to stop saying "me" and "her/him" and used "we" instead. And thank goodness the "proposal" wasn't on a sparkling background with tons of special effects and a romantic music and the characters have sparkling eyes (sorry to people who like this but I always feel like it makes the scene very superficial :/ )
I honesrly love how Ton is a jerk, but actually supports her in most of her issues. Its like hes mean cuz he wants her to grow a backbone. And be who she secretly wishes she was. And she finally is, an hes like YESSSSSSSSS!!!!

@@Some_Guy6 the english dub isn’t that bad compared to the dub in many other anime, but personally i think the whole “sub is better than dub” debate is really dumb and shouldn’t be an argument, people should be free to watch media however they prefer.
i usually watch in JP, but aggretsuko was one of the first anime i’ve ever watched, i didn’t even know you could change the audio language on netflix, so i watched the english dub and honestly the voices feel very natural and nice, they’re not off-putting and every character fits it’s personality.
it’s 2023, it’s time to drop the dub vs sub conflict, and instead both come together to appreciate anime as a whole, instead of defining what is the “correct” way to watch anime

After watching the last season of Aggretsuko I legit got tears to my eyes, I'm happy that I was able to witness the whole journey, start off with small series consist of 100 episodes and begin with anime type series. I'm really happy that the series ended with a best end possible (in my opinion). Retsuko live a happy marriage life as she wanted and Haida can forever be side with Retsuko, I'm pretty satisfied with this season, it might also be one of my favorite outside of Season 3! Anyways every series must come with an end, still I will never forget the fun it brought me, especially all the death metal scream, the amazing song by the OTMGirls and all of the wonderful characters!
All I wanted to say is THANK YOU AGGRETSUKO!❤🔥

I love the lesson here that just because your grievances might seem insignificant to others does NOT mean they are not valid, nor do they invalidate you as a person. After all, the worst kind of politicians is the ones who heard the people and chose to ignore them.

oh god i was right they were getting worse by being political. Its a compliment btw, i know what this show is all about and the theme of the show of being 'adult'. However, how does this show getting lesser and lesser popular due to having more sensitive topic? People missing out that THIS is how adult live. Trust me, the older you got, the more you get invested in politics and i cant wait how other REVIEWER see this show.
I for one never agreed to people starting to hate this show - IMO it has a really good writing and the writers Know what they are doing.
Also maybe it becomes less popular because more and more of Japanese topics are shown and Westernies simply don't get that because they don't relate lmao.
Most adults don't deal with becoming J pop stars, growing up in rich households, becoming RUclips famous and running for representatives in their countries. Season 4 & 5 are completely unrealistic , unrelatable melodramatic power fantasies for teenagers. The whole message of season 5 is "I HATE BOOMERS, SHUT UP DAD". Definitely far away from the realness of season 1 & 2. Season 3 is a limbo state of realism and entering that fantasy.
