Have you ever heard a cow give an audible sigh of relief from the work you have done? I’m loving the matching wraps today. I like symmetry and I’m glad the cow got help. 🧡🐄
Came here for the cows and I also got a good dog :) Thanks for taking such good care of the cows, Nate. You're a comfort zone for me, in a world where there aren't enough of those! - Hannah
Hey Nate, I've been watching your videos for a while now and I just wanted to say how nice it is to hear how your voice and energy levels have perked up and increased over the time I've been watching. It brings everyone a lot of joy watching you work. All the best.
Nate! Love your videos! You are the only trimmer I will watch now. So many others just look like butchers compared to you. When I see others hacking away at the poor cows hooves and then I see blood, that’s it. I’m done with them. And I always think, “Nate would never hurt a cow like that!” Thanks for always being so gentle with these lovely creatures. ❤
@@shanellcyrus1190 Sometimes there's a little bleeding with the cows. That's something that happens when a wound gets debrided. Nate is always careful to not cause more damage than necessary for treatment, and takes his time to do things correctly. It's probably faster and more lucrative to just chop away at the cows' hooves regardless of the pain and damage inflicted. It seems that other "hoof guys" either don't have proper training or care more about speed, quantities and getting more money than being diligent and conscientious with these gentle and sensitive critters. Nate is better than that. Which is why we love him and his videos! XOXO
@@mcsmith732they aren’t as Gentile or Sensitive as the People enjoying these videos. Cows are tough animals, and this line of Work definitely isn’t for People squeamish of Blood from Hoof trimming. It's to your credit, Nate, that I found your channel and wound up binging months of hoof trimming. I have no reason to need this info, but I love this channel! You do an amazing job, not only in caring for these cows, but making these videos! You have a fan for life due to your terrific explanations. ❤
I haven't seen all your videos, but this is the first one I've seen with no blocks required. Glad this was caught before it became too much of an issue, wonderful video as always!
I was wondering how much of that copper sulfate/salicylic acid/vaseline concoction you go through in a day? Or, how often do you have to make a batch? I love how the dog comes running when she sees you ☺️🐶
Nate-there is a product women use called a microblade, it would probably work well to get those hairs off if you find the knife leaves too many behind. It has a little handle too.
For the dog is was in the “good” spot but for the cow it was in a “bad” spot!😂 Love your channel and the fact that you are an awesome hoof trimmer. Ever so thorough, gentle and neat!👏🏼 God Bless you and all the bovines you treat….🙏🏼🍀👋🏼🇨🇦
Hey Nate! Haven't watched a video in a while and I really dig that paste you used. I was always worried about y'all inhaling the powder you use. Keep on keeping on! ✌🏽
Woohoo! I've got the same color wrap on my foot. Missing the salicylic acid and copper sulfate, but hey, not everyday i get to share my fashion with a cow on RUclips.
Concrete breakdown needing replacement. Cheaper to treat the cows than cost of concrete by numerous years. Sometimes farmers need time to replace a bad/early concrete failure, incredibly expensive. It’s a business with a heart.
Yesterday, I watched my own dog pass away. Prostate cancer, very aggressive. We disposed of his body today. The intro and outro, showing that good girl German Shepard, really hit me in the feels. Any other day I would have just ignored that intro as not too serious. Today, though, it's different.
So very very sorry for your loss. It is absolutely heartbreaking to lose a beloved pet. I have great faith that one day we will see our dogs again and forever. God Bless.
I'm pretty sure they are the cow's fur; the problem is in the skin around them. And, being fur, they can trap things so it's still useful to cut them back around the infection.
I'm curious about what random things you use the hoof block glue to fix around your property. It looks like it would be pretty handy. A short video on that may even expand your potential market with your knew partnership.
Have you ever had an apprentice? You would be the best teacher! I hope you will one day bring some school kids along and plant the seed in their mind. Healing animals is a noble profession.
Love your videos! So.... IF and only IF you were to hit rocks with your grinder.. Will you film the aftermath? And maybe show us how you replace the piece. Thank you!
Thank you for always patting the good dogs for those of us who can't, Nate.
"Where is that guy? He was supposed to be here 30 minutes ago."
Nate out in the parking lot playing with the dog...lol
That’s sounds like something I might do
Such a sweetie pup dog! Thanks for petting her for all of us. And that girl-cow was walking great after you fixed her up! Way to go, Hoof Guy!

Nice color too. Very snappy looking slippers for the cows!
You could see the other cows checking them out!@@mcsmith732

Puppy!!! 🙂
Always fun to see some of the critters besides the cows on these farms, including dogs and barn cats.
There is an eery smiley face on the outer claw.
Looked like a horseshoe to me!
I retain no knowledge 😅
😂😂
I saw that too! Thought I was imagining it lol
You’re such an awesome and gentle individual!! Keep making videos and treating these cows one hoof at a time ❤️ 🐄

Anyone else see a grinchy-face on that outside claw?
....no? ....just me....?
I rewatched the video and yes i did see it.
I see it.
@@shintaco7517 aww glad I'm not alone!
@@iowegian7496 good to know I'm not totally bonkers!
There is just something so soothing about Nate’s voice when he does these videos that makes me so calm. I bet the cows love it too!!!

Same. I tried the others but once I see blood, I'm gone. Like I've never seen him draw blood, so what's with the others? 😅

Whenever I peele potatoes and see dark parts I now think of cow hooves.
😂😂
I love how it looked like a smiley face before you started trimming
Beautiful creatures are lucky to have you Nate!
Thanks Nate the Hoof Guy, and the good dogs and cows of the farm 🐕 🐄
Oh that GSD is so beautiful.
That dog is as sweet as they come!!! Wish I could reach through the screen
"I LOVE how my feet feel after I visit that salon!", all of Nate's customers.
The cows running away at the end “I’m not next!” 😂
I think making it into a paste is a great idea. That pup was incredibly adorable ❤️

Nate! Missed you buddy!!
Again, I just know that poor cow felt so much better. I get satisfaction when Nate sprays the hoof down with Chlorhexidine. I don’t know why. 🤷🏻♀️😂✨
Making high shoes!!
Nice job Nate!!
Omigosh I’m squealing over the shepherd next to my shepherd. 😂
What a sweet girl of a dog! Her little floppy face, agh. XD
Those wraps must feel so good on the cows' feet. Great job, as usual! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing this.

My family calls those spots the grimace spots. Is digital dermatitis very common and can it be on all 4 hoofs? 💚💚
No- it’s two wraps! 😂

What binding agent would you use for the copper sulfate and the salicylic acid if you don't have petroleum jelly instead?
Very fashionable double wrap on that cow, the others will be jealous
