i bought the white dial. it is a stunning watch running to 5 sec fast a day. the dial changes form brilliant white to grey in normal light and catches other ambient colours in other different lights. very dynamic. markers can also be seen easily and often look black. imo, probably a better dial then the czapek stairway to heaven on the antartique, especially at 1 23rd of the price.
I have a glacier blue Twelve. It is stunning and wears SO NICE on the wrist. The dial gets all the hype, but I think the case and bracelet are even better.
@@NotOnMyWatchYT appreciate the response, think im starting to lean towards the white too, after looking at them a bunch of times, the ice blue makes it almost too busy and too much pop for my tastes. lovely vid mate!
Excellent review. Kind of hard to believe that CW didn’t catch that clasp issue. The bulkiness really sticks out when you look at the underside of the bracelet. Otherwise it’s an awesome looking watch. PS What’s the name of the watch brand that you said that figured out a way to better conceal the clasp??
Thanks a lot! It's a shame about the clasp, but other than that I have no complains! The brand I mentioned is Zentier, but as a commenter mentioned, Bvlgari Octo Finissimo also has this type of clasp :)
Would it hurt the mechanism if you heated it up and tempered it to increase the steels hardness or is the steel already heat treated and this is the best it gets?
The Bulgari Octo Finissimo has a fantastic clasp like the one you mention where it disappears into a channel cut into the bracelet. Obviously a pricey watch, but I think they were the first to do that.
Are you certain about the weight? One more watch channel said 135g for the steel and 88 grams for Ti. 160g seems very heavy for a watch that is 40mm wide and less than 10mm thick.
@@NotOnMyWatchYT How wide is the clasp? My RL Sporting Chrono butterfly clasp is 35.5mm wide & opens up just fine even for guys with huge hands. Guessing this CW12 clasp is closer to 40mm; hopefully they will go smaller & slimmer on the 36mm.
Bought one of these, received it Monday, in 5 days it's almost a minute fast, crap for a watch that cost me over $1900 cad all in. It's going back. Maybe I'll think about another try when they either have solid dial colors in titanium with the better SW-300 movement, and the micro adjust found on the Twelve X. Otherwise it's a no for me unfortunately , because the design is actually quite nice.
how do you avoid scratches and how do you deal with it... imagine a 50k watch, so just one door ding or an accidental bump against the ground and thats it, money wasted? seems insane to me does the titanium bracelet scratch less than this?
Nice watch…. But customer service is subpar and the company is not prepared for the demand. I ordered the day of release on the first hour the blue titanium, wrote in the same hour to see if I could change for purple, never got an answer. After the supposed delivery date I tried to search with my order and zip code and the order never appeared. Tried to contact them 3 times, never had an answer. The I asked to cancel and instead of trying to contact me and make things right they cancelled the ordered without even responding my e-mail Very sub par company service. A real pity.
Personally I like the design of this watch better, but I also think the watch has more impressive details, and it is thinner and wears better. I also don't like the proportions of the 39mm Aikon, and the 42mm is too big imo🙂
It’s a personal thing … I have this watch and have no issue with the clasp at all and no other reviewer has picked this up as an issue. May be a wrist size issue ?
@@NotOnMyWatchYT just purchased the ice blue prx not too long ago and I’m am loving it, you put Christopher Ward on my radar tho and I can agree it’s really nice. I would love a comparison video between them.
You definitely should do something with your hands. It looks unhealthy and unpleasant in the frame. I guess few visits to nail salon should do the trick. It's a great watch btw.
It is a great start. Honestly, it makes me wonder how it can be more expensive than the PRX and Lorier Falcon and look cheaper than these models. Nice but not worth the money.
Lol, are you high? The PRX and Lorier Falcon look like cheap Chinese knockoffs by comparison. Far more attention to detail and machining like the 3 surface treatments on the bezel alone, extra machining on the bracelet, color matched date wheel, superior dial texture, royal oak treatment on the back, and just overall better balance and engineering refinement overall. If you know what to look for, they aren't in the same league at all, especially when you go up to titanium. I do think the indicators are more elegant if simple on the prx, but that makes it more of an evening watch than a sports watch, imho. The Falcon reminds me of something I could have got out of a gumball machine as a kid.
@@whodat9198 haha. Man you really escalated that quickly. I dont feel this watch is a great design. It looks cheap to me. The PRX is a watch that every company is starting to copy. I rly thought,'stairway to heaven' was how Czapek named the bracelet.
If the Omega Aqua Terra and Tissot PRX had a love child
Just look at the czapek antartique
Every watch takes inspiration from others. The only new true original watch designs are ugly. CW did it right with the Twelve.
@@cardanoStackerbecause the head of the design is the same person :)
When you first received the watch, did you have any troubles in pulling the crown out? Mine almost feels stuck
Beautiful! Thinking between glacier blue vs white dial, any thoughts?
They are both incredible and you can't go wrong with either. If I were to purchase it again, I would go for white :)

It is a very nice watch, the only thing I don't like is the hour markers, I just think they are too extreme
Great review, thank you. With my new Horage Supersede, this CW12 would be too similar but as you say, the upcoming 36mm sounds intriguing.
