Hello out there to my fellow long term survivors. I'ma 30 year survivor infected at 26 and now I'm 56. I don't understand how there's a cure for Hep C but not HIV. I mean some HAVE been cured.
In India Government are giving free treatment and medicine, all health care facilities regarding hiv is free. India also has constitutional act that protects hiv patient from getting bullying, or any negative remarks or discrimination. It also includes confidentiality of a patience. Without patience consent healthcare provider cannot share any information to any one regarding that patient.

Great news from the UK: there is a new shock and kill therapy that shows great promise. The new therapy (HLP) seems to be more effective at targetting HIV reservoirs and it is more affordable than other treatments in the pipeline.

No problem! When you talked about the man sent to prison, you said you can’t spread it via oral sex but you were ever so slightly slow to follow up and with the can’t transmit via sex. Now I know you know this but it reminded me of how unbelievably freaked out my date was when we would hear anyone leaving it open even for a moment, especially mentioning unprotected sex and clarifying u=u - the stigma is so strong in some! But again, thanks for doing all this. Just some feedback from anecdotes around the world 😅 I always do my part in person to fight it. ☺️
I had a friend who contracted hiv and INFORMED his partner and they a good life up until his death. His partner ELECTED to have unprotected sex with him and caught it too, but that was HIS choice.❤ Be honest and let people know before you expose them whether you are UNDECTABLE or not.
