Question: with basic tumblers getting cheaper on places like temu, can I just buy a pre painted white one, lightly scuff the paint and then go from there with the resin and glitter?

Is it okay to have a longer time than 4 hours between coats? If I can get to only 2 coats day one and then 3 coats day two, that wouldn't affect the cure time or cause any issues because it take a a full 30 days to cure?

@@AlisonCrafts I am recovering from my battle with Breast Cancer, it was over a 2 year fight ( it was an aggressive cancer) so Crystalac was the only option for me in my opinion, not wanting to take any unnecessary health risks, and needing to not add anything to the fires so to speak. It's a longer process, but safer, and I feel I will be able to get to the finish line without giving up.

I want to use the clear acrylic tumblers so I can do a "snow globe" effect as well. Super ambitious for my first one but im excited!

Epoxy is a poison and can damage your lungs and burn your skin. Crystalac is not poisonous or bad to breath in, and you can put it on with bare hands.

Can I use CrystaLac to seal vinyl lettering to a Yeti type cup? No glitter or anything else, just a clear coat so the vinyl doesn't come off when washed. Also, my cup has a slight texture to it (hints why the vinyl comes off,) will that effect the CrystaLac at all?

    • @rosanalopez6321

Brite Tone is a non Toxic alternative to Epoxy. There are lots of RUclipsr's out there using Epoxy without proper PPE, I don't think it's something you should bring into your home. Plus many people have allergies to Epoxy and will develop such allergies after handling Epoxy. I am definitely going to try Brite Tone. There are too many risks when using Epoxy.

  • @loriswitala4679

I've thought about using this stuff instead of resin,,,but you need SOOO many coats on your tumblers!!! It would take days and days to create and finish a tumbler. As much as I dislike finding the right resin and using it with all my safety gear, it's faster because you need less coats. And sometimes you don't need to sand in between your coats of resin! Too bad. I thought this stuff would be a great answer to resin alternative.
