- Russ takes a look at MODO Bass from IK Multimedia to see if physical modelling can give those needing great sounding bass parts the results they need.
IK Multimedia claim that MODO Bass can give great sounds with unprecedented control - is this hype or happiness? Наука
Excellent review Russ!
cool review, thx for that
i love it! it sound amazing!
Really helpful, thanks
Sounds nice, but 1 thing that I really like about trillian was that some of the presets, despite perhaps being 'un natural' - such as the 'Marcus bases - get VERY DEEP like synth bass - So they can be used in hiphop production. Can this bass to that?
I'm really liking what I'm seeing, and leaning a bit more towards this. But, I'd really like to see how it stacks up against the new ToonTracks EZBass.
It's a shame it doesn't go below your standard B 5 string.
Been looking for a flexible bass VSTi that'll do low tuned metal happily :(
rus you used to be with pro tools? u sound familiar ....but if u switched over to studio one good choice
does it have articulations for sliding into notes?
Yep
Is there also muted bass in picking style???
Yes, there's a knob that lets you precisely control the amount of muting.
I just wish it wasn't THAT expensive... if it was about € 159,- it would be mine already...
Question is: would they sell 3x as many if the price was € 159,-? I would certainly think so...
They spent 8 years developing this VI... R&D time... and what a vast library of sounds... I didn't mind laying down the $ for this one.
7:23 I like it a lot
I strongly dislike this plugin. If everything in playing and tuning is perfect, then it's quite nice. But, seriously, certain notes, in particular < C0, are completely inaccessible and won't play. It sucks that I wasted money buying it, but I will only do this once; their support sucks, too.
No upright or fretless? I'll pass, thanks...
The best in the market, but still weak.
