I loved that demo tune! What's it's name, and who wrote/performed it? I noticed the rhythm was predominantly 7/4, with some 6/4 and a few bars of 4/4 thrown in. Great stuff!
It’s a MIDI track of Rush’s song “Limelight,” a classic of their catalog. It is off their 1981 album Power Windows which also contains the excellent songs “Tom Sawyer,””Red Barchetta,” and “YYZ.”
Sorry, but you didn't cover the best part of MODO 2, which is why it was created. MODO Bass 2 has usable PATTERNS that can be used in a DAW! All of the other stuff you described is already in MODO BASS, the PATTERNS is the new Feature of MODO BASS 2 which will make users like me want to Buy MODO BASS 2. Pleases redo the video and discuss the Patterns section in your review.
I did touch on it briefly but I was wanting to showcase all the features for new comers. There are already a ton of reviews of people jamming with it. However, I may revisit it for the sake of the patterns nonetheless. Did I mention you can win a free copy?!
@@Homestudiosimplifed Yes, I downloaded the files and will submit a mix before the deadline. Thanks for considering revisiting the MODO Bass 2 review with a foxus on the Midi Patterns.
i really feel that his verbal explanations SHOULD HAVE been backed by actual background sound FROM THE INSTRUMENT playing in real time, demonstrating the actual features he is TALKING about in a manner where these features are synchronized to his statements (rather than "silent/muted" screenshots) . . . just pre-recorded LIVE screen videos without having to lengthen the video through midi keyboard playing or clicking on DAWs 😇😇 but otherwise thank you very much for such an informative video on Modo Bass 😋
Sorry but ezbass blows its drum sticks off.It just has better flexibility and possibilities and you can even change the time signatures in the same track.
I'd be very careful buying this plugin as it is wildly unreliable. It will cease to output, sustain notes indefinitely, even play different notes to what you play. IK don't seem remotely interested in fixing it.
Interesting. I have the original MODO Bass and upgraded to MODO Bass 2. I’ve used it quite a bit for writing and arranging, including some reasonably complex parts, using various of the basses and articulations. I’ve not had any of the issues you describe. It’s been solid and is not even very demanding on the CPU. Perhaps you have some midi issues going on (we’ve probably all experienced them at some point and they can be a pain to work through) or a software conflict somewhere along the line?

this is really a great sounding bass VST, I know because I won this on one of this channels last give aways, thanks for all you do Robert
Thanks man!
Am I able to connect a bass and and use the midi sounds as effects for my bass
Can you play an actual bass guitar via an audio interface into Modo 2? Or is input limited to a midi keyboard? Good intro video .. thanks
There are work around, but this is a MIDI instrument.
The slap Bass sound needs a whole lot of work...do you have any suggestions?

@@jamesogara7053 Thanks. I must get a hold of that and have a listen. It's soooooo much easier when you know what the title is!

Thumbs up for referencing Geddy Lee and Billy Sheehan
Of course!
