Well hello there... I have plenty of other videos of me talking about BBQ on my channel. Feel free to watch/ listen to more of them! Thanks in advance for watching and commenting.
I was considering getting one but many of the advertisements (if not all the ones I'd seen), for this product was with white men. I wasn't sure if it would work for black mens hair. Your video review, being the first one that I've seen for this product, is a great visual example of how it works, your personal technique for how it works best for you and how you maintain the product before and after using it. I get my beard shaped every week at the barber and this past Saturday he 'detangled' it for me and used something that looks like this, i meant to ask him what brand it was because it looked GREAT after he did it. Of course the beard tightened back up after showering but I think I found the solution. I was actually considering cutting the damn thing off. thanks for the visual!!

Use the straightner when beard is dry, get you some hair moisturizer or beard oil to apply after..to prevent dryness..or apply product in beard while damp and let dry then use straightner...😉

So I just posted a video on Monday of me using it again and while I can tell you that a few of the little "comb" pieces have broken off, but the heating element is still fine and I do in fact still use it almost daily.
I’m trying to get my sides to lay down and was wondering if the beard straightener would help with that. My sides are about the same length as yours but I see you like to pick yours out, I want mine to lay down
@@bigman7570 sounds weird but I break the beard rules all the time because I've experimented with so many different things that are not typically used for beards ha so what I found that works best for me and is the best pomade for beard is the stuff that my girlfriend use for her edge's lol and I found at that works the best as a pomade for my beard and I get a lot of comments lol that shit will hold your beard down and it will stay like that all day 👍 it's called edge control she gets it at the beauty supply store I know that there are different brands but most of them work the same it's not Shiny either plus it has all the vitamins and ingredients that you need for healthy beard and I'm guessing that is because it is to help keep women's edge's healthy and growing
My hair is pretty coarse as well the key is to NOT do this when your hair is dry. Make sure you have some moisture in your hair and pick/comb it BEFORE you use the hot brush it will make it 100 times easier.
Thank you so very much for watching and letting me know you found it helpful. There is a link in the description for you to be able to pickup the same heated brush.
Is your brush still holding up? I bought one just like this 2 weeks ago and some of the bristles have fallen off while the brush was hot and I was using it. I feel like I got gypped out of $20.
So I had and used mine for quite a while before any of the plastic bristles came out. But it still works just fine and to me that was all that mattered. I have found that if i didn't pick my beard well before using the heated brush I might loose a plastic bristle.

I’m trying to get my sides to lay down and was wondering if the beard straightener would help with that. My sides are about the same length as yours but I see you like to pick yours out, I want mine to lay down
I'd suggest brushing them down with a regular brush or cut them down. I just pick them out so I don't have to get a regular brush.
Nah you just need beard pomade it will lay the sides down if you get the right one .
magicpill ismetomakeyoubetter I have the Scotch Porter beard balm but I need to find one that doesn’t make my beard shiny
@@bodyu83 😂😂😂 did you say edge control 😂😂 I'm gonna have to try that
Can you use that on coarse hair instead of beard
I don't see why not? My beard is pretty coarse so I'd say yes.
I’m not sure if I missed it but do you have the link to this straightener?
Sorry about that... It got edited out of the description. amzn.to/354k0ZQ
My hair is super coarse and tight
Do you think this would work for me
My hair is pretty coarse as well the key is to NOT do this when your hair is dry. Make sure you have some moisture in your hair and pick/comb it BEFORE you use the hot brush it will make it 100 times easier.
This review is fire!!!! Thank you, sir! I need to get this product.
Thank you so very much for watching and letting me know you found it helpful. There is a link in the description for you to be able to pickup the same heated brush.
How do you clean the straightener once beard oil gets in it?
I have a old Clipper brush that I use to get any hair and debris out of it, but it is getting discolored slightly.
SDSBBQ ok. Some of my black prongs have started falling off.
@@DeVonMArtis I've lost a few too. But it still works great
I thought I recognized you from another video. Great content imma have to get me a hot comb!
Thanks man, I actually just plugged it in to use it for the day!
I have the same straightener and it works best for my beard when its completely dry
Agreed I've been slowly getting the hang of using it.
what do you use to make your beard balm that you showed? I'm thinking about trying to make my own but idk what to use.
@@anonymousc3363 just so happen to have done a video about it a while back. ruclips.net/video/FjdRDvBhaLU/видео.html
cool I'll check it out thanks
You guys suggest to use it while completely dry?
You have just convinced me to get it.
Awesome, congrats!
Bro, was it 280° degree fahrenheit, or 280° degree celsius?🤤 I'm from Germany thatswhy im asking.
Farenheit sorry.
You are an amazing guy.
God bless you bro.
Thank you so very much! Right back at you!
Great video. Thank you bread brother!!!
Sure thing! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great vid , really wanted to see the effects of it on course hair like mine , definitely getting one now
Glad I could help. It works wonders, i highly recommend it!
Big ups for reppin' Philly, I too am from Philadelphia originally.
SDSBBQ I see and I appreciate your reply. Also, your video actually inspired me to buy the brush a few weeks ago. Thanks for posting.
Sure thing... Thanks man for watching and commenting!
Got one of these on my way. Thanks for giving a good representation of how it works. 👍
Sure thing thanks for watching and commenting!
How often ?
I used to straighten my beard daily... but now 2-3 times a.week when going out
If it'll work on your hair then it'll definitely work on mine! Mine's not as curly!
Awesome, best of luck with it for you!
From what I see it must be good for those really curly hair under the chin to prevent single strand knots that lead to breakage. 👍🏾
It really is, helps a lot with the really curly hair.
Think it will be good for short beards? I can’t really grow mine as long as yours
Surprisingly well. My beard is shorter now than it was in the video and it helps a lot
Came here for the beard video, stayed for the bbq. subscribed
Well now this just brightened my day! Thank you Sir for watching and commenting. I hope to see you in the comments more often now. Feel free to go back and check out some of the older videos!
Great video, glad I found this just ordered one from Amazon!
Awesome man thanks for watching and commenting, hope you like it as much as I do
What's the name of the brush?
The link is in the description, just click show more.
Thank you brother this did help me a lot.
Thanks for letting me know this helped.
Mine actually became too hot and the bristles started to melt. Loved it up until that point
Do you comb your hair before using it? I've broken a few off as well when I didn't go through my beard first with a pick.
Yeah. I actually sat it down and they slowly started to melt and smoke
@@backhousekidz damn.
Gonna cop the comb very informative.
Cool. Glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching and commenting.
