      Yeah man... even I was afraid of that comb and it NEVER came anywhere near me. But my aunt did hair so I used to see the effects of them.

    I was considering getting one but many of the advertisements (if not all the ones I'd seen), for this product was with white men. I wasn't sure if it would work for black mens hair. Your video review, being the first one that I've seen for this product, is a great visual example of how it works, your personal technique for how it works best for you and how you maintain the product before and after using it. I'm sold. Thanks man.

    I am buying this brush!. I get my beard shaped every week at the barber and this past Saturday he 'detangled' it for me and used something that looks like this, i meant to ask him what brand it was because it looked GREAT after he did it. Of course the beard tightened back up after showering but I think I found the solution. I was actually considering cutting the damn thing off. thanks for the visual!!

      Straightening is more like what is being done. Detangling is more for when you have much longer hair and are trying to get a comb through it.

    I bought one after watching some videos and reviews. I was skeptical. But I couldn’t be more happier with the results. I’m a black man. I had been considering cutting it because I couldn’t figure out how to get the look I wanted. But this did the trick.

      It is the opposite with me, sort of. I am the "Black" one, but my man is White. Well, we both are, just my man is 100% White while I am triple racial, but got 100% Black hair and my brown skin is of a Black person. 😂😂😂😂😂

    I also use the that style straightener but after I do it i use palm with a bore brush to keep it nice an tight straight my beard is 5inchs long

      I just wanted to add a little protection to my beard from the heat. When I have done it dry it seems WAY harsher than when I have some moisture in my beard.

    Hey SDSBBQ! I appreciate the video! Thanks for the link too. I am a hair stylist and I wanted to let you know that when you use hot tools on wet hair it can fry it and it will cause breakage and can burn your hair! Home made Balm sounds good!

    I got one coming in. My beard grows out curly so even when I get it done at the barber it's still messy. I hope this helps. It Can't hurt.

    You should put the beard balm on AFTER you use the straightener !
    The smoke was the balm burning off!

      My beard is slightly damp and I think it is the water and not actually the balm as I can still feel it after I am done straightening

      I have a link to the brush in the description of the video and heat isn't THAT bad in moderation. I do this once a day and make sure to add some oil and or some sort of heat protection in my beard before using the hot beard brush

    Great video. My beard is really just a stubble and curls soo much so it’s always filled with holes. is this going to be any good for me? Will it not burn my face?

      You might want to try to use the lower heat setting to start and move quickly

    Bro, its 2020,and I'm just seeing this. I like it. I ordered one similar to this, and then searched videos, of this . Mainly for black men like myself, so that I can see how it works. They mostly showed white guy's. Mines is not as long as yours, but I definately need some grooming. Thanks for posting this video. Hope mines will turn out well. 🙂

      I imagine it would work and he'd have to use some caution to not burn himself but in the years I have had this I have burned myself twice.

    Use the straightner when beard is dry, get you some hair moisturizer or beard oil to apply after..to prevent dryness..or apply product in beard while damp and let dry then use straightner...😉

      I wish I had the time to oil then allow my beard to dry, then use the beard brush. I replied to your other comment that I have been using a drier lately and it has helped a lot!

    Thank you so much! This video is all I needed to know that this is what i need for my Black Jesus beard lol.
    Currently, I'm using emu oil and softee herbal grow. Would this be considered to be good enough to use for hot combing? I don't want to comb a dry beard, but not sure if I should buy something else to use as a moisturizer for hot combing.

      Yes indeed I do, still use the same one. I trimmed my beard down a lot but as it is growing out again I am using it again more and more.

    Just ordered this beard straightener and noticed this video was posted 8 months ago I’m wondering how the durability of the straightener is and if you are still using it

      So I just posted a video on Monday of me using it again and while I can tell you that a few of the little "comb" pieces have broken off, but the heating element is still fine and I do in fact still use it almost daily.

      I'd suggest brushing them down with a regular brush or cut them down. I just pick them out so I don't have to get a regular brush.

      @@bigman7570 sounds weird but I break the beard rules all the time because I've experimented with so many different things that are not typically used for beards ha so what I found that works best for me and is the best pomade for beard is the stuff that my girlfriend use for her edge's lol and I found at that works the best as a pomade for my beard and I get a lot of comments lol that shit will hold your beard down and it will stay like that all day 👍 it's called edge control she gets it at the beauty supply store I know that there are different brands but most of them work the same it's not Shiny either plus it has all the vitamins and ingredients that you need for healthy beard and I'm guessing that is because it is to help keep women's edge's healthy and growing

      My hair is pretty coarse as well the key is to NOT do this when your hair is dry. Make sure you have some moisture in your hair and pick/comb it BEFORE you use the hot brush it will make it 100 times easier.

      I have a old Clipper brush that I use to get any hair and debris out of it, but it is getting discolored slightly.

    Is your brush still holding up? I bought one just like this 2 weeks ago and some of the bristles have fallen off while the brush was hot and I was using it. I feel like I got gypped out of $20.

      So I had and used mine for quite a while before any of the plastic bristles came out. But it still works just fine and to me that was all that mattered. I have found that if i didn't pick my beard well before using the heated brush I might loose a plastic bristle.
