I've been making music on FL Studio for about 5 years now and I've always really struggled with getting my end track loud enough and full enough. After watching this video all of my tracks are going to start sound a whole lot cleaner! Cannot believe it took me 5 years.. Thanks BWB!
Of course each artist has their own way of mastering, but it is helpful to have a guided start to understand what exactly mastering is and why its important.
Dude you’ve been making videos for a minute. Been using your techniques for years and tbh I forgot where my knowledge came from until I rewatch your videos.
Even just the soloing of the Bands through MAXismus did so much to fill the emptiness! Love these vids, thanks for helping people keep their inspirations from dissolving due to complex (and great) programs \m/
thank you for this tutorial, convenient to not forget anything. It is true that this does not replace the physical material, but allows you to practice well.✅😊
Ozone Imager 2 is a FANTASTIC plug-in for stereo separation and widening the stereo image. You can also use WIDER by Infected Mushroom, which takes your stereo image and expands it based on a stage setup, using multiple speakers arranged across the stage for a full stereo sound. Hope that helps!
I tell u what...Im still learning to use Fl Studio... All my life Ive used Wave Studio at a younger age making beats, ... But after watching some of your videos on a weekly basis.. I am doing better
I wish you had told us why you do certain processes. What am I looking/listening for? If its differences in each master, what are the reasons u do what u do. What is the idea and purpose of mastering.
this was great. i just didnt understand the purpose of having a separate eq 4 mono and stereo if u already kinda did everything with the mids in maximus. i really love this video i just kinda got confused in the middle .would luv to know how this compares with using izotope ozone
I've grown fond of your intro track over the years Question. If you stereo image during mixing why do it on the master bus? Wouldn't it mess up the previous stereo mixing ?
i'd love to hear an original track that you have made busy because you have really inspired me and my friends we currrentlyuse flstuido in a studio that my dad made at our summer house. ill upload a video soon about
guys, can someone explain to me, what mastering is? when we're finished the track, we already add some eq's and effects to our synths and etc, but what mastering does? we just make our track sound brighter, wider and punchier by editing finished track the way like in this video? that's what mastering is? do I understand it right? I never find any good info about what mastering is.
Sashik Pro Mastering is to finalize a finished mix by reducing any problematic frequencies and maybe even adding additional EQ if needed. Compression during mastering is to glue the loudest parts of the mix to the rest of the song if needed. In today's world mastering engineers will also use maximizing plugins ( a limiter) to increase the overall loudness, this should be done carefully or you can ruin a whole song Also included in mastering is to add metadata to the song e.g. Filename etc and prepare if for whichever player it will be played on eg: CD format, RUclips uploading etc. There's way more to it, and that's the problem with these ' tutorials ' is they only cover a small amount of what's required for proper mastering. Peace
Guys thank you so much for your answers, I really appreciate your help. Farai thank you for such detailed response man, now it's no longer a mistery for me
I have a question with what hes doing with the mono/stereo inside the MAXIMUS plugin. What exactly is he doing there? it seems like hes moving the panning of the low end to the right ear? but isn't that dumb to do?
Soundgoodizer are just 4 presets from Maximus! And guess what? In Maximus presets you can find the Soungoodizer presets AND it’s the same but it’s sounds a little bit louder! AND when you know what you doing you know Maximus is the daddy of little Soungoodizer
Why do you use Fruity Compressor when Maximus already has a master compressor in it? I don't understand. Also you have a Limiter there too which can do the same thing. I am a newb so I am just curious about the thought process behind this. It seems like a lot of the plugins have the same capability when it comes to compression and most of them outdo Fruity Compressor.
The first few times I mastered my songs this way, it was perfectly fine. But I noticed that when I add the Patcher and add the plugins inside, my song goes full mono and it sounds terrible. No change even if I play around with the knobs. What could have gone wrong?
So when you stereoize your hats for example in the beat and the panning goes from the left to the right and back und you use the Patcher as the Mid Side Eq then your Hats aren´t stereoized anymore...
Damn man I never realized how much of a difference mastering made. I'm never skipping this step again.
thanks Game you've taught me so much about music production
This is da most productive channel on youtube

There's no "correct" way to master your music. If you're an artist, there's only one way, your way.
Of course each artist has their own way of mastering, but it is helpful to have a guided start to understand what exactly mastering is and why its important.
Thanks game, you never fail to provide the perfect tutorial, easy to understand but still hella informative, mad props.
youre the only reason im even able to produce now and ive been trying to for almost 5 years, thanks man

Are you teaching us how to compete in the loudness war?
Thx bro , your tutorials are so good to learn
Maximus is a compressor and limiter in one. You don' t need to add 2 more separetly to do the same thing.

agthaog1986 He accentuated stereo(mids and high) and mono(bass)
+agthaog1986 all he did with Maximus was stereo separation that's not the same as eq'ing
i said he already did what he did in maximus.
He didn't split them on Maximus he boosted them it's 2 different things
That Bruno Mars type track legit slaps

Thanks alot!
this is a good one. what if soundgoodizer sounds better than the master I put my hard work into? lol
Lacewood plzz don’t
why?
just go with whatever sounds better
Soundgoodizer are just 4 presets from Maximus! And guess what? In Maximus presets you can find the Soungoodizer presets AND it’s the same but it’s sounds a little bit louder! AND when you know what you doing you know Maximus is the daddy of little Soungoodizer
is this mastering with the vocals or for the beat in general

Thats you singing right? At first I was like..why are u sampling drake lol lol 🤣🤣
Good. But Where's the Mixing Video Updated
Chris Smoove in disguise

go back to the stereo shaper after adding and linking the eq and change it to 1. Then, they'll send the signal through both.
Cool)
massa mano curto pra caralho
I'm not a player but i crush alot type beat
I know it works well for hip hop, rap that kind of stuff, but how do you make bass, kicks, snares for Euro Disco like music?
where is mid side hq, damn now i can't follow the rest of the instructions, good video bro
dont understand that too :'(
Grey Fox23 find the plugin called "patcher", That's what he uses for his "mid side EQ".
Mixing&mastering full song stock plugin
So when you stereoize your hats for example in the beat and the panning goes from the left to the right and back und you use the Patcher as the Mid Side Eq then your Hats aren´t stereoized anymore...
Could anyone give me the tune he used for the intro?
