Thanks for the tips. When I get in the car to go somewhere I don't have time to fiddle about turning things off and on every time so I found another solution... I use an old phone for the dashcam app & WiFi and my actual phone for carplay. No interference then and I can just get in the car and go 😂

Do the dash cams record even though it’s not connected to wifi?

The ones we sell work independently. No need for wifi.

Do you know what I want a dash cam that doesn’t require me to have my phone tied up the whole time I’m driving that will not do. I listen to music my passengers, watch Netflix on my phone it’s hooked to the dash. I cannot let it be tied up with some dash cam that dash cam needs to be smart enough to stand on its own.

You dont have to use your phone at all while driving with any of our dash cameras. This is only to view videos or change settings. Other then that you just get in and drive

    Thanks for your videos.
I have a wolfbox mirror, and this is how i connect my mirror app with android Auto
But the only problem is you have to be inside your vehicle.
If these dash cam says wifi then you should be able to see from anywhere as long as your dashcam is connected with wifi, like you park in your garage.

I have the 70mai Omni. I can’t have CarPlay on and have my 70mai Omni recording or playing music at the same time. If I want to listen to music, the dash can get kicked off. And if I want the dash cam recording, I can’t play any music even just using my car usb connection. This is beginning to become a pain. I’m not sure if there’s any dash cams that will work with CarPlay. I think the dash cam makers should eliminate this issue entirely.

This is an apple issue with how their technology works and not a dash camera companies problem. When using wireless apple carplay it turns wifi off and turns bluetooth on. But why do you need to be hooked up to the dash camera while driving? the dash camera should operate independently

@@SafeDriveSolutions I don’t have it wired to monitor parting. There’s kit that’s needed to connect to your fuse box to operate the parking monitor feature. In the directions for the 70mai Omni camera. It states that the CarPlay Bluetooth and Wi-Fi must be turned off in order for the device to work. What I’m looking for is a dash cam that doesn’t work in that manner. I’ve heard the Carlinkit Camera may have that feature.

Hi, i have Viofo a229 plus and wireless carplay in my honda civic. The only time my iphone pick up viofo wifi is when another phone is connected to carplay. Otherwise the viofo doesn’t even show up in WiFi list. I have switched off car play, bluetooth in my phone and still the viofo doesn’t show up in wifi list. Also update the firmware. Any suggestions?

I have a Nexar that will only record while your phone is connected to it via WiFi. The CarPlay then won’t work because it needs the phones WiFi also. I can connect to car through the Bluetooth but that’s just using my car like a giant speaker and I can’t use my car touchscreen to do anything because it doesn’t see phone since it’s connected to camera. How do I fix this?

Depends how big the videos are. You may need to use google drive, dropbox or some kind of storage like that. Or trim and cut the video to size you need. If you are an apple user and have a mac i usually airdrop them to my computer
