    Hello from Brazil, awesome video, i a m a both krav maga and systema student but i fight muay thai competition. Can you give me a hint for using this tecnique of take down to the muay thai, as we must wear gloves? Maybe from the clinch.

    This is my go to move when working the doors, however, I wouldn't arm drag the guys right arm if his left leg was in front, and vice versa. Not saying it won't work, but just for practical reasons.

    • @warriorcollective
      @warriorcollective  10 лет назад

      Griptonify glad you enjoyed the vid, I get where you are coming from re the leg position, I suppose the relevance than falls down to where the other person's weight/momentum is directed i.e. back or forward as to whether the technique is as effective or not.

      the arm drag would be easier, but the takedown would be more difficult and require more rotation. i think hes doing rear leg side for that reason

    Why do you suppose we don't see this type of takedown in sports? (MMA) -- I've never tried it during sparring, since I may lose friends… is that the only obstacle?

    • @orpheusepiphanes2797
      @orpheusepiphanes2797 8 лет назад

      Desmond Rotundus Theres a few reasons, the first is that they all have rules against fish hooking and eyegouging. Will the ref be able to tell the difference? Will you touch his eye by mistake? Especially while wearing gloves?

      Look up armdrags for wrestling in a legit channel. This vid is bullshit

  • @plalelal

    So he starts out with a demo of a two handed head hold, and then teaches a one handed. The two handed is more devastating.

    When westerners show it it's all legit but when a russian shows it it's all of a sudden fake and everybody calls it fake....

    Do it with full pressure during sparring lmao. Who just allows u to grab their wrist lol.

    • @markmorris76
      @markmorris76 3 года назад

      yes teaching basic moves and body mechanics and how to use leverage is no use if the technique cant be used right away against a trained mma fighter in a cage match, so much sense

    • @MaxLohMusic
      @MaxLohMusic 2 года назад

      The armdrag is a very common technique in wrestling seen in all levels of competition. It's the face-grabbing thing that we should be skeptical about.
