shaydel actors play roles that have nothing to do with their beliefs . If you saw the movie it had a very positive ending. However you are entitled to your opinion of course.
I thought I was going to hate this movie because it went totally against my beliefs but approaching the end, you get a view of why some people indulge in an open marriage and you also witness the unravelling of a marriage due to adultery/lies/insecurities and lack of communication. Lesson learnt.
So if you have an open marriage that means its not just you two anymore. How is tht special? If theres no fidelity or trust, its over. Id move on and find someone more honest. Thts not love if ur sleeping with other people in a marriage. Its adultery

Wait isn't Essence Atkins suppose to be a believer in Jesus Christ. I don't understand why would she promote a movie about adultery because that's what it is! There is NO such thing called "open marriages" it's just a cute title to make sin seem less sinful but God hates adultery! Periodt.

Laurs Croxen It's funny that you replied to this comment today because I was watching another video with Essence Atkins actually today and she was speaking about the encounter she had with God and how she came to know Jesus. During that video the Holy Spirit convicted me on how I started off on milk and a lot of choices I made in the beginning stages of my walk with God that didn't fully line up with His word and how He was patient with me showing me so much grace! I also seen a post today by a brother in Christ who said be patient with babes in Christ who are still in infancy. Now I don't know how long Essence has been on her journey with the Lord but what I do know is I didn't stop and pray for her or extend any grace towards her. I'm sure she's still growing in the Lord and in His word as we all should be as believers! I'm reminded to pray for my siblings in Christ instead of immediately jumping to judge! I definitely agree with you though that we all have to be careful not to cause others to stumble! Be blessed Love! ❤

Once again I love how we judge people and know nothing about them. As I said you have choice to tune in or off and express your opinion. I just find it really unfortunate you are going to advise me about being a Christian and father and you have no knowledge of me and who I am. Normally I would not respond to someone’s comments and opinions. But when someone makes it personal and does not know the person they are criticizing , I believe it is appropriate for me to respond . We have too many people in the world telling people what to believe and think. And that is the primary reason we are in wars as religious zealotry has historically been the root. Of all wars and has been used to divide and conquer people of color globally.
Im blown away at how people are casting judgement without fully understanding the point of the story of this film.
I dont believe in open marriage cause it is sacred. The point of the movie is to highlight that THIS IS REAL. Art imitates our reality of society and how people live. And if we are frightened by this how can we expect to evangelise and bring people to Christ if our first reaction is throw stones and judge Essences morality. She is portraying a character who is struggling with trust issues in her marriage. Its storytelling.
Some movies are meant to bring up convservations. Yes the morale compass is going left. But I wont judge anyone for what they do to get their money its not their actual lives.

I watched the movie , its an emotional rollercoaster
I thought better of Essence Atkins than this. In a world that is rapidly falling apart in every way ... I don't think there's a need to put more filth & foolishness out there. Just my opinion ... I won't be watching.
