    Update here. I gone with the Yamaha p45. It's been 2 years now. Still like new. No click sound nothing. Just that when recording with my phone it has the key plastic pressing sound which is normal. Other than that. All works perfect. And also 1 thing I didn't like is the speaker the quality isn't that good it's just fine.
    But the game.changer come. When you plug in headphones. And I do.mean expensive audiophile headphones. It sounds so rich. And warm. If you plug in cheap headphones it sound worse than the speaker. If you plug in good headphones. It sounds amazing. Overall it's well worth purchase. And also the roland at that time was way more expensive and literally over budget.

    • @M7MD-
      @M7MD- 2 года назад +1

      I am trying to make a decision. The Roland features sound more appealing to me and I think the bluetooth will help me learn faster. However, it is $156 more expensive than the Yamaha. I still can’t make my mind.

    • @calvinyip364
      @calvinyip364 2 года назад +3

      @@M7MD- well I never seen a Roland in real life. But all I can say is. The sound from the Yamaha speaker is fine. Decent . Can fill a room no problem. The build is solid . Everything is still good but. If you want awesome sound quality u need to have a good headphone plug it into the Yamaha. You will be surprise how much the sound changed.
      It did for me I use the speakers it didn't sound that great but is ok. Than I swap to headphones it even sound more crappy than the speaker than I swap to a decent like Ath m40x , shp 9500 . Not gaming headphone omg. The sound literally boom. Out of this world. And I can tell the difference between cheap and expensive or decent headphones. No joke.
      My Yamaha still as good as new.
      Before you buy go see the review for me I did check up on Roland. Yes they sound good on speaker from RUclips videos and the Bluetooth is nice and all but. Most of them even on forum I seen many and many of them complaining about key lose , or some other problem with the device after few months of use or 1 to 2 year. And my Yamaha still holding up nicely. So choose wisely. Fixing these stuff cost alot of money. Just saying . As goes for the Yamaha at least this model I hardly or even never see problems with it. As for Roland I did though.

    Hi can I make a suggestion. When you're doing a review, can you also record the actual sound of both units of their built-in speakers because like me, that's a deal breaker. Though these 2 have both 12 watts speakers, for sure sound quality is different. Sometimes the sound they produce on a computer recordings is not exactly how they sound through the built in speakers, if that makes sense. Thank you.

    • @zjaeger1800
      @zjaeger1800 2 года назад +1

      @@Peekcasso Hey mate, maybe you could help me out or give me advice. As you've already tested the Roland fp10 within a store and are saying that the sound of it is just fuller and stronger, I can absolutely NOT tell the same about my FP30X. The FP30x has a better speaker system and a better sound engine than the FP10, so I'm therefore very confused. Am I doing smth. wrong? The sound of its in-build speakers are just 'average', there is no fullness or authenticity to hear. So I thought ok, must be the build-in speakers itself. I've connected my FP30x to my 2.1 sound speaker system, which is a high quality sound system - but still: the sound the Roland is producing through my external speakers are still bad and at best average. There is still none of the fullness, you can hear in this video by the Roland FP10. Why is that? Could it be, that the sound is produced and delivered much differently if its connected to a audio-interface? How is this guy able to produce so crystal clear sound of those low budget epianos? Ty buddy. (If you probably speak german, schreib auch gerne auf deutsch)

      Also ich habe ein Yamaha clp 545 und das fp10. Ich finde das spielgefühl auf dem fp10 besser obwohl es um einiges billiger ist. Der Sound des fp10 kommt nicht ganz auf die Lautstärke des clp545 aber ich denke von der Qualität nahezu ident. Ich benutzt das fp10 in eknem kleinen Raum und das yamaha in einem größeren deswegen habe ich leider keinen exakten Vergleich und vl täusche ich mich nur wegen der ton Qualität. Hi! Good day!
    I was about to purchase Roland FP 10 but when I am about to connect it to my macbook, it doesn't recognize the FP 10 as a midi controller/instrument for my Digital Audio Workstation (Garageband). It is supposed to automatically recognize the instrument like any other midi keyboards unless Roland FP 10 does not support Midi functions for DAW?
    Can anyone help? Thank you so much!

    Which keys have bigerst dynamic range? I want to use it like a midi keyboard, but dont know which ones to choose

    • @Timzart7
      @Timzart7 5 лет назад +6

      The Roland has a more advanced sound engine, and a really great dynamic range, soft to loud, depending on how the key is touched. It also uses a technology that interpolates the key strike, so it isn't sounding at a specific stepped volume level, but instead has the full dynamic range of an acoustic piano.
      It sounds more piano-like and beautiful than any midi piano font I've tried, whether modeled (Pianoteq) or sampled, since Roland developed a proprietary combination of the two. But the dynamic range when using MIDI should be the same, very good. The more you read about it, the more it seems almost unbelievable how well it works. When I got it, I was almost glad I didn't have $4000 to spend on a more expensive digital piano, because I love everything about this one.
      Even though I use MIDI, it's still nice to be able to turn on the keyboard and have the piano sound be so good, for when I just want to play the piano.

No firmware upgrade available. I was able to return it in time and am trying the P-45 and like the way the keys don't feel as weighted. I hear that the keys on real grand pianos are generally not as firm as those on an upright acoustic.
