Lisa thank you so much for all you share with us. Could your tell us how is you kitchen cleaning routine? I can see you cook a lot. Sometimes I think I would like to cook so many things but just thinking about the time it will take me to clean up the kitchen it is overwhelming. Which tips do you have for cooking a lot and at the same time have time for cleaning the kitchen ans doing so many things more? Thank you💕

    • @ellysea6488
      @ellysea6488 3 года назад +2

This definitely isn’t her normal day of cooking. I don’t think so anyways. It was a prep day so there was a LOT of cooking! Cooking from scratch definitely uses more dishes but the end result is so much better than a frozen pizza or microwave meal. But hey there are seasons for convenience so don’t feel guilty if you just don’t have the energy right now.
I’m 7 months postpartum and have a 3 year old and 2 year old too. I just felt like I could start cooking like this again and even some days are definitely pb&j and cheese quesadilla days 😂

    Hi Lisa!
    Some suggestions from my experience:
I don't know why you puree your strawberries, maybe the kids don't like the chunks? but anyway, the texture is much nicer when the strawberries are cut (I cut each into 4 pieces).
If you will use a whole sliced apple (all of it), and a juice from one lemon- you won't need the pectin. Just let it cook slowly for an hour and a half.
And an idea for your cinnamon loaves. You can add whisked egg on the top and then add some more cinnamon mixed with brown sugar, it shines and it's very tasty.
One last thing- it's best not to cut the bread while it's hot, better for your knives!

    • @amaliaclemen2335

You do a great job feeding your family, Lisa. You bring together your meals with the sort of ease that only comes from frequency. I can relate. There are so many meals I can make without even thinking. Have you ever tried a french rolling pin? You'll never go back. Easy, no bulk, works like a charm ...and they look absolutely beautiful in a vessel on the counter. I have several, a few dating back. The different woods, the aging ...just gorgeous and highly functional.

I loved this video. Thank you for sharing your day with us. The process of juggling all the different things is what helps me. I'm trying to only do one or two big things a day. When I do a lot in one day I usually dirty a lot of dishes and have clean up on top of everything else. I'd love to see a video (maybe you have one already?) on cleaning as you go or how you plan your week. I do many of the things you do, but you seem to do them in a more relaxed way, but also quicker. I think that comes with more practice? Like when I make sauerkraut I weigh everything and calculate the percent salt. I think I over think it some. It helps me to see you go through your day. Also, your children are precious! I loved seeing them pick strawberries. My sons are in their 20s now. It goes by fast. Enjoy.

They absolutely need to be in the fridge or freezer if not water bath canned. Turning the hot jars upside down if called open kettle canning and is not considered a safe method.
I don’t want to offend anyone, but before canning it’s best to learn the safe and tested methods first to understand why a method is considered safe or not. Check out the National Center for Home Food Preservation for the best information.

Really enjoyed your video and all of the good things you made. Daniel is the cutest love bug!. I water process my jam, do you seal your jars by just turning upside down on a towel? I would love to pass by the water processing .

You are really the super woman/mama! I am so inspired to re-try the sourdough bread making! I started it at the begging of COVID and it was super !!! But I stopped leaving the sourdough starter in sheet and powder. See if it's going to come alive! And, I just started kefir milk from kefir grains ! I love your ' about' measuring - as it's my style as well 🤩❤️🤩💐🌍!!

What about skillet bread. Cast iron lid on top and bake on stove for breakfast and top with fruit compote or eggs and bacon and cheese or sharp cheese and syrup

Always an inspiration to watch you.

It’s not a recommended safe canning method.

So funny you just made this video with making the cinnamon raisin bread. I made it yesterday and ugh I didn't have raisins but it actually was still so good it was like a cinnamon roll bread 😋 my family devoured it
