I actually got to be on Howard’s radio show on 66 WNBC back in 1985 when I was living in Middletown, New Jersey.....a call in segment on your most interesting jobs...mine was delivering pizzas in the “Hot Box”...Howard made a sexual remark and sent me a sausage and a letter from the show’s producers...the sausage is long gone but I still have the letter!!...what a memory
LOL, these were a tad before my time but thanks for sharing. When I hear the guy saying "WNNNBC", I always think of Howard's movie Private Parts and Paul Giamatti teaching him how to say the call letters properly.
The V/O in this ad was Larry Haines. The same V/O who did ads for Breakstone's cottage cheese. Maybe it's slogan was based on Breakstone's ad tagline, "If Sam hadn't been so demanding, Breakstone's cottage cheese wouldn't be so good".
Gotta give it to anyone in radio... Cousin Brucie Glen Beck, stern, Limbaugh(saved a.m format)... ect.... if they are around today that is to be commended no matter the politics.

That's a huge WNnnnnnnnnnnmBC.
Did they really use to have tv commercials for AM radio? This commercial has better sound than AM radio.
hahah. yup.
FM had only recently become popular at this time. AM stations were the spot for top 40 and such until the late 70s.
There were commercials for Rush Limbaugh right up until he was off there air and I still see commercials for sports radio.
When everyone got into talk radio, regardless of affiliation
