    First mentioned in the Spike Lee film SCHOOL DAZE then on the April 4,2007 broadcast of Imus In The Morning during Imus' final days at WFAN.

    Pig Virus was Kevin Metheny.
    Pig Vomit in the movie was a mixture of a few different people.

    See, Imus yawning and going overboard kinda killed this ad. Howard looked like he was just there because he had to be. it was natural, it was perfect. But Imus was desperately trying to do the bad boy thing and... I dunno. it just doesn't do it for me.

      I agree. Trying to be the radio bad boy. Randy bongarten actually fired Howard on the air. Howard didn't say a word to him and walked out

      Nope, Bongarten actually supported Stern. When he got Promoted to VP of Radio at NBC (and later, Emmis), John "The Incubus" Hayes took over and eventually fired Stern

      Actually neither one was behind the firing, but Randy was the messenger. It was Grant Tinker, chairmen of NBC who felt that his humor was not right for NBC airwaves.

      That's correct-Howard was terminated by WNBC in September 1985.

    In the movie PRIVATE PARTS Stern combines Incubus (John Hayes) and Pig Virus (Kevin Metheny) from his WNBC days into the character of Kenny, whom in the movie he calls Pig Vomit.

      Stern thought he should have been treated better than Imus and Soupy Sales because he felt his act was original and they were stealing. Imus apparently yelled at Stern and Stern got butthurt and never recovered. He has not changed.

    What year was this? Back then Stern was a little hard to take.. and yet.. you had to listen just to see what he would say next. Also my parents only had the friggen AM stock radio in the car.

      @@MrJruta I agree with you. his show is now mostly a puppet show with Howard complaining about issues with how he’s getting old and how he doesn’t want to work anymore. When you do the same career for nearly 50 years, you run out of content to provide your subscribers.

      @Midnight Owl no they wanted that N hit well bc there was Wabc as well & that one letter was the only difference so it had to stand out. I think they just liked how imus said the N I doubt they wanted people to talk like imus. They had soupy sales & wolfman jack on & they did not sound at all like Imus & were around b4 him. Howard has the high voice b4 he got the voice modulator on the mic. I noticed once robin used his mic a sec & her voice got super deep so then I figured that's how his voice changed & people have confirmed it.
