I always encourage my employees to walk through the door in the morning and hit those immediate, essential tasks that need to be done every day for one hour. Then, with a dent made on the routine stuff, step away and take a 10-minute break. They review their tasks for the week, the day, and block out their remaining time around what they want to accomplish most. It's effective!
Great Vid. "The Finishing Line is TIME not TASK" priceless distinction. I am about to try setting my alarm 15 mins ahead of the next block so I can wrap up Knowing i can pick up the task in the next time block and that is the way to do it really helps my mind STOP the activity of one block Feeling more positive now - thank you!!
Hey Paul, That’s a great strategy. I’m not sure what you use for plan your time blocks, but I used similar strategy using google calendar to create time blocks and I would set a notification about 10 min before the next time block. This would be a time when I would wrap things up. This way you will nit have to manage a ton of alarms 😉 I hope your strategy works 😉 Janis
Having scheduled work time to get your brain used to productive phases is a great way to fight distraction. What‘s also important is to schedule your study breaks to support memorization!
Hi, I'm Going to try your app. Hopefully will help me to be more productive. I Will write again with my personal review . Thanks for All! Uups the app is not ready yet
What is the difference between an unfinished task on a to-do list that gets moved to the next day's list and an unfinished task in a time block that gets moved to the next time block?
It really isn't. I guess they focus on the conceptual themeing of those blocks a bit more, while pomodoro mainly defines the time frame someone will work in. There's no significant difference between the methods.
Hey, Happy New Year! If you get distracted then you first identify what exactly your distraction is and then eliminate it. If you are getting bored then you are either working towards the wrong goals that don’t inspire you or you don’t clearly see how the activity that you are doing contribute towards your ultimate goal. Happy New Year man!
Hey, Thanks for asking. Unfortunately the app is no longer supported. However, you can get the Productivity Framework in the form of the spreadsheet. Have a great Xmas
I'm so so tired of only seeing this white young business man stereotype when talking about productivity... I know it's not something people do consciously or intentionally, but we should finally learn how important is representation of diversity, even in simple illustrations like these.
I didn’t notice the skin colour. If at the end of the video, you said “which part of the video included the black guy/ woman/ person with ginger hair etc, I wouldn’t have noticed any of them. Stop seeing the world through skin colour. I’d be sick and tired if I constantly seeked out the colour of someone’s skin.
@@hewhoc8664 "Stop seeing the world through skin color"... I bet you're white, only white people keep saying "stop considering skin color", that's interesting. The day you'll constantly see people of 1 specific type being the protagonist in movies, advertising and also youtube, without people like you being represented and feeling identified, you'll notice skin color and gender, and lots of other things.
