Is THIS Really STILL The WORST STADIUM in English Football? 🤔 (Luton vs QPR)

- This week we're taking a look at what people consider THE WORST football stadiums in England as we head to Kenilworth Road for Luton Town vs QPR ⚽️ The Kenny has come under a lot of criticism amongst RUclipsrs, especially last season when it was a Premier League stadium BUT... in my opinion the fan atmosphere is what MAKES a football ground and despite a disappointing start to the season and a 2-1 loss today... Luton Town show exactly why we should CHERISH these old school football stadiums, rather than strive for those "soul-less bowls" so many football clubs are moving to 🏟️

Best ground in England, should be preserved at all cost!
Imagine trying to take a away ticket!
Bloody RUclipsrs ey
Great video 👍Was in the away end on Friday, as a QPR fan , love Kenilworth Road, proper old school, with proper fans not tourists, more atmosphere than modern stadium three times its size, will be very sad to see it go, one of the best away days for a genuine football fan.
Kenilworth road is actually one of my favorite grounds i love the unique smaller more old school atmosphere comapred to the generic newer stadiums premier league teams have and like the older gentlemen said its the atmosphere that makes the difference
It it a football stadium where football lovers and fans goes. Not a modern theatre with hundreds of luxury boxes, with no emotions... beacuse it is so steril. Kenilworth Road stadium is one of the last, one of the best.
Not a Luton FC fan, but I love real football, with less foreign footballers... respect for Luton.
Best regards
What do you thin the premiership or championship would be like without foreign players. You Muppet 😂
Both Gillingham and QPR have entrances through or at the end of terraced houses.
I think Luton and gillingham are good old school grounds unlike West Ham
If you like all your stadiums modernised and without any character then you’ll think this is a terrible ground, that’s OK if that’s your opinion. For me it’s one of the best in the country, along with the likes of Grimsby, Crewe, Stockport, Everton (until they move unfortunately), QPR etc, the ones that have character and history.
An absolute pleasure meeting you sir 🤝 I’m the big ev just haven’t got round to updating the RUclips haha
@@ghostmuggle4878 legend haha I’m sure we’ll cross paths again
Love these old stadiums, football needs them.
Some modern stadia are soulless. It takes at least a decade of memories to accumulate a love of a new ground I'm sure.
That stadium is a work of art and should be preserved at all costs.
QPR fan here, and I can tell you Kenilworth Road was rocking on Friday night.
Great support from both sets of fans 👏🏽
Great video again Ry. You really captured the atmosphere of the fans at an English football match. Spot on.
These old grounds need to be kept, even protected, because they are historic.
What I also love about you and your videos, is that you support every team you go and watch. You are a true football fan. Keep going mate, love the content.
I think if we’re gonna rock up as a RUclipsr, we’ve got to at least contribute something to the atmosphere 😊 for those 90 minutes it’s an insight as to what it must be like for those fans 🤩
As a Luton fan you won't get an old school ground like this in years to come with their new ground and that's a shame.
First game their in my youth
Love it
Nice review.
Worse area and stadium i have ever been to. No offence to luton
It’s so easy to have a pop at an old ground, it’s just a reality of necessity at the time, pretty soon Loftus Road will be the “worst” ground in the championship- soon to be Premiership- but the atmosphere is amazing. Really nice balanced video 👍
Was there in the oak road stand being pelted by the Millwall rioting fans back in 1985 😮
1st John 2.22-23 who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the christ he is antichrist that denieth the father and the son whosoever denieth the son the same have not the father but he that acknowledgeth the son have the father also Amen
Great video. We love our old stadium 🏟🎩
Love an old school stadium. Great content as always 👍🏻
@@staceycampbell1898 Fratton Park right up there too 💙
Urrrsssss
This stadium has stood the test of time
John 11.25-26 Jesus said unto her I AM the resurrection and the life he that believes in me though he were dead yet shall he live and whosoever lives and belives in me shall never die believest thou this Amen
@@praisekingjesusforever5494 not many Christians in Luton…
fantastic video i dissagree luton not the worst The WORST STADIUM in English Football? its unique
Deffo, it was never the worst in my opinion but many like to call it that 😬
Good on it, do not leave, proper ground so called 'dump or not' - it's your home I love our home Loftus Road, it will break my heart when the suits decide to leave... good win for us also - just a thought all this when we move we will get all these new fans... it won't happen unless like some you have a charge into the prem - look at brentford best ever team they have ever had and still only got 17 thousands average home gate... not exactly world beating is it. Not slagging them just saying they extra fans is a suits way of making money - PS: Not too sure about the blue adidas kit in front of camera
Loftus Road is one of my favourite grounds in the EFL, apart from when you’re uncovered in the front few rows 😅☔️
So you visiting the ‘worst’ stadiums this season, huh? Grimsby should be on that list. It is so quirky, you’ll love it.
@@seanlocke2228 you’ve got a SOFT SPOT for Grimsby - you can meet me up there for some fish & chips mate
@@RysFootyParadise can’t drive mate. However if I was to meet you halfway like Peterborough or something, I’d love to join you and go there again. I used to live there during my college days.
It’s a proper old school stadium close to the pitch. Love Luton’s and QPRs also! 💪
After today's result I'm sure you love Fratton Park too.😢
@@alanprior7650 haha yes!
Loftus Road is Gawjus 🏟️
@@RysFootyParadise so are you 🥰

Ry loves a WWE theme tune 😂 Wonder how many know you slip these in on the videos 😂.
Oxford United is far worse than Luton but Luton it's self is a pure shit hole!
Haha I loved that song before Ronda BUT I love her too so what a bloody tune 😅
I do miss Underhill
English Football or England's premiership? Hundreds of grounds with worse facilities if that's the criteria. Some of the infamous poor stadiums have been either replaced with new. EG, Northampton or stadiums like Halifax or Rochdale who have been brought up to standard.
Unique, very much. I think Luton Town need to move though.
My team (Portsmouth) have Frogmore Road leading up to the ground and the ticket office (in the 90s) was on the corner of a street but Kenilworth Road stadium is insane.
Gillingham's Priestfield reminds me of Fratton Park. Surrounded be houses.
I actually referenced Fratton Park when filming yesterday at Priestfield whilst I was walking down the alleys outside the ground - nowhere near as narrow as yours though! 😅
Funny when he was saying about the ticket office, I thought of Pompey, has t change now then? Last went decade or so ago when we played your lot (QPR fan), hope it's not been ruined
@danabrahams7892 club bought a lot of property around the ground in recent years. The ticket office and shop are in Rodney Road, behind the North Stand. The old ticket office used to be a pub and has been used for all sorts. Btw, lots of improvements in the Milton End for away fans including safe standing and new toilets and concession stands. A lot of work has been done around the old stands to keep them open and kept the character at the same time. Love our ground, just want the North Stand rebuilding into the huge space behind it.
I'm all for retro style stadiums but come on! I first went there in 70's and it hasn't changed that much since.....it was awful then!
Nostalgia is often an excuse for regret and I'm sorry but if Luton want to progress the sooner they move the better.
Ken' Rd reminds me of the old Oxford, Shrewsbury or even the Baseball Ground. Guess what? They all moved on years ago.
The only positive thing I can say, having visited the stadium many times is that it is better than West Ham's ground - which tops my list of awful stadia.
😃
What baffles me about the ground is the care on the outside of stadium .as it's owned by the council and probably there responsible for the outside upkeep well get your people down to Kenilworth road with a dozen tins of paint and get to work in sprucing it up the rent money you get of Luton should cover the paint or are you happy that it looks like the rest of bury park and you could put barriers up to stop the ability for the away supporters having that view of the neibours
What language do they speak there? lol
Wonderful old school stadium. Somewhat like Loftus Road.
It's the oak road, not the oak stand get it right
Apologies for any distress caused

@Mick-r3c really?
@@alanprior7650 they were not funny..
Those QPR hit like crack Luton fans thought they won it in the first half 😂😂😂
Nah. Sheffield Wednesday still have theirs.
In all seriousness these quirky stadiums are what makes our football culture unrivaled.
😅 dying breed aren’t they. I must admit I’ve grown to love German football as it has elements lost over here - fan involvement being the main one
Brilliant Ry! Next step is The League of Ireland if you want Old School Grounds. I’d recommend Dundalk FC.
It’s an intriguing league for sure…
Quirky!? My Nan’s old Council house, damp on the walls, outside toilet and no central heating was extremely Quirky then
Hahaha it’s all personal preference I suppose 😅 👵🏻

Worst stadium in English football? Thats easy, Old Trafford
👀 i think the hate just comes from the fact man united play there 😅
Looks like the Best home of 🇬🇧 football
A question for Hatters fans (kit-wise)...do you prefer Luton Town wearing orange at home or white?
White
Always wandered this myself 👏🏽🤔

Of course it isn't. Anfield is the worst.
🤣👍🏾 GGMU
Ground capacity rounded up 12,000. 4 games, 1 point. Awful place. I have played there twice - even an awful pitch.
Blah blah
I was there with the Rangers, great to take the 3 points.
the ground is a shit hole
Riddled with pikeys week in week out. Hilarious when they went two one down after giving it large. Absolute sausages the lot of them.
