Great video, I’m a Luton fan and it’s good to see an open minded creator visit The Kenny. The Barnsley fan you spoke to is correct, we did spend roughly £10million but the club has been very adamant that they’re only investing into the stadium in things that’ll either be put in the new stadium or can hold value and be sold on. We’ve been a club riddled with financial struggles but the current owners are the best football owners imo. Great video, keep it up 👍🏼
Lovely report Ry. You're right, I don't think any Luton fans have ever called the Kenny "The Old Girl" apart from our chairman in his programme notes. One little factoid for you: the Happy Harry mascot (we also have a Happy Harriette on match days) is a reference to Harry Haslam, a manager in the 70s, who was known for his consistently happy demeanour! (He needed to be!). And you're spot on about the atmos. The Old Girl (oops!) was really rocking on Saturday as we (hopefully) took our first step on another Great Escape! Do come back and visit us when we have the new stadium!
I love seeing these older English stadiums! Being from the southeast of the U.S. it reminds me of some of the older minor league baseball stadiums. Tons of unique features and cool history. Hate to see places like that go away.
The a505 (or Dunstable Road as that stretch you were on is called) the stand by the alley is known as the bobbers stand (the old exec boxes) known as the bobbers because it used to visit 1 bob to get in....and behind the main stand is the old railway line, now a busway
Great content. Only fount your channel from youtube shorts, and i think the past 2 days have binge watched all ur videos. I love the work. Keep making excellent videos cant wait for the next one
the old Vetch Field was rather unique. surrounded by houses on 3 sides and Swansea Prison on the other. and more pubs than you could hope for! player's entrance was through what looked like someone's front door
haha!! you're more than welcome!! can I recommend you seek out and watch a documentary on the day we avoided the drop into non league. it's a Dutch made film with some sub-titles but well worth a watch to get an idea for the atmosphere at the old ground@@RysFootyParadise
What the hell are these people talking about when they call this the worst premier league stadium?! It’s up there in the top three. They call Tottenham’s the best, but i think newer stadiums are soulless and boring (yes, Saint Mary’s is an exception but I’d still rather be at the Dell) because there’s no history at the London Stadium or King Power, and the atmosphere at these historic and quirky grounds, hidden in the romantically grotty depths of working-class English suburbs, is second to none.
I used to love Chelsea away days at the Dell as there was just something about the place. Shame they could not have upgraded it a bit like Pompey have at there ground.
@@markmay4954 At the end of the day we were quite a big club at a rather small stadium... the Dell held 15,000, which is just over the average for League Two these days. It was one of those that was tucked between the houses, while Fratton Park has plenty of open space behind some of its stands. St. Mary's is what the club needed but the Dell is what we all wish we could have back.

I was visiting London from the US a couple of weeks ago. I got to see my first Premier League match at Stamford Bridge and tour the Tottenham stadium. However, when visiting with a local friend who is a Villa supporter, he said that he thought Kenilworth Road was a fun stadium to see a match - said there was a great atmosphere there. I’d like to go to some of the smaller stadiums next time. Loved the video!
hope you enjoyed the trip 🏴 visit some towns further North as most of the country is a bit different than London - lots of good clubs around the midlands too :)

A quirky place which I’ve visited several times as an away fan. Won there last season so that tempered the experience. Solid fans, not the friendliest stewards but I like its character. Heading to The Den today. Up the Albion.
The place is an accident waiting to happen. This video is the kindest most generous reporter you will ever see yet he trips over in the video, states how the stand shakes even though the stadium is 25% full, tells us how tight it is to walk to your seat and compares it to bradfords old ground and the Bradford fire. People love to say things like “quirky” and “old school” but this place is a genuine risk to fans. Let’s hope nothing happens there over the next few years
I've watched a few of your videos. They're an enjoyable watch. I like the way you regularly tour the stadium surroundings on your visits. I'm sure it helps newbies going to grounds. I think you're also very measured and fair in your comments. Kenilworth Road is full of dated charm and character and most certainly a throwback to previous decades. I love Luton Town for that iconic, quirky stadium. The club has been to hell and back in recent times, preventing the club from any progress off the field. I hope they bounce back to the Prem straight away and are there when they move to the new stadium. Look what Brighton have done since they were 'homeless' and moved to their new ground.

I went to Luton with Villa this season and it was one of my favourite away days. The atmosphere was fantastic.

I love these old stadiums , full of character, not like the soulless new builds that are now popping up
Absolutely 👏🏽🍻

This is just Nostalgia, if a newly built stadium looked like this you would say it was a shithole.
The Kenny is like a holy pilgrimage. You don’t know a ground until you’ve almost fallen off the steps of the main stand and on to Hatter’s Way

Fair play! Good to know 😊
Also, there were certain things that had to be done to the stadium in order to meet premium league requirements.
