    Great video Mike. I’m sure you have heard by now but there is a bulletin out for the RPM issue. As for the gauge going dark it is being looked at now. Lastly, the gauge positioning, since Skidoo crates their sleds for shipment, if it were any higher it would not fit in the existing crates which would impact how many get on a truck. It would now take more trucks to deliver the same amount of sleds since you couldn’t stack 2 crates high. Hope this helps. Great review.

      Thanks so much for the comment and info Ben. Great to hear that Skidoo is looking into some of these fixes, as they certainly are minimal. I don't know about the RPM bulletin unless its the same thing as it was for the Mach? Would appreciate any additional info you can help me with on this one. I didn't know that about the gauge but I recall Jesse mentioning something about this to me when you guys chatted. Again, appreciate you watching and supporting us. Cheers, Mike

    I know BRP has issues across more than just sleds with gauges when the battery isn't fully charged. I mean fully fully charged. It still starts and runs fine but the gauges act up. I have seen this issue on my 2020 Can-am ATV and Spyder and 2022 Renegade. I started using a battery tender on them and they haven't had any issues at all since. I would throw it on a smart charger or battery tender for 24 hours before you go out riding and see if that solves your issue.

    Mike, I have a 2022 XRS 850, I had the screen go out the first few weeks I had it last year….a dealer mechanic pulled a fuse which was on the right hand side under the panel, replaced it, it might of been loose, he moved the fuse, which is on a electrical line, so I had better access, and put new zip ties on it, never had the issue again.

      This is strange. Never had a fuse work intermittently .. I had the same issue with my 22 that has the 7.8 guage.. I had it replaced and it still does the same thing.. If it were a fuse or dielectric grease then you would think Doo would of done that to my sled.. instead they installed a new guage with the same problem

    Hey man I didn't hear you talk about adjusting the clickers on the clutch. There are 3 bolt that you can loosen and adjust there is a line on the bolt with a number on the clutch. Guaranteed that's your issue. Dealers really need to explain how to adjust the clutch. It's a 2 minute adjustment on the trail.

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  2 года назад

      I'll try to keep this short and sweet because tuning clutches isn't so simple and just because you have clickers, doesn't mean it will solve the problem or run how some guys are expecting it to. Bottom line is right now there is a problem with the ecu mapping and it needs an update through the dealer. Start there, and then go and tune your clutches according to how you like to ride. Cheers, Mike

    Great video. I went with the 23 Rave this year because of the prohibitive cost of the new Turbo 2's Polaris offered and the fact they were gone within an hour of the store opening, haha. I will say I'm a bit disappointed with BRP gauge packages and their ability to link up the gps/phone etc.

    The doo belts tend to be a little inconsistent, it's possible you're not getting the RPM you want because the hard doo belt is getting too hot and slipping on you. Have you considered trying a Gates Carbon Fiber belt? They're a bit softer and tend to grip the clutches a little better

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  2 года назад

      I've had the same experience in the past as you. We just finished a weekend of more testing with it and we did find that an Ultimax belt really helped it. I've used Gates in the past and also Ultimax which is what I've been using for a long time and they work really well. Softer compound and grab clutches better as you said. We also found out that there is an ECU update this evening on the 23s for this issue. Cheers, Mike

  • @CP-lj8ob

    Your fade is the cheap doo springs fading due to heat in your clutches. Replace them with a quality spring from Dalton. Or install a HRSS kit and be down with it. You run the XS821 correct?

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  2 года назад

      That could be the case. We ended up fixing the problem with some minor clutch work and the sled is pulled 8000 rpm all day long now. Yes we are running the XS821s. Cheers, Jesse

  • @rideswift
    @rideswift 2 года назад

    I noticed my '21 Mxz Xrs was very sensitive to belt position and clutch cleanliness. If I adjusted my belt and cleaned my clutches often (nearly every ride) It was much more consistent on RPM. I'm on a '23 Renny Xrs 900r turbo this year, I'm hopeful the boost and clutch issues the Mach had are resolved. I run the standard 7.2 display and have never had an issue....im just sayin' LOL
    As far as shocks go.... just get a standard Xrs and have a reputable shock rebuilder (ShockTec) to set them up for your weight and style. This is usually inexpensive and does wonders on the stock KYB's

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  2 года назад

      Great info and thanks for the feedback. I adjusted the belt and also noticed it was running very high on this particular sled. Still didn't fix the issue when we played with it and there is a bulletin that just came out for the 23's that they apparently need ECU updates so that's the issue. I've owned a bunch with standard XRS KYBs and I really believe that the newer sleds with Smart Shocks ride so much better. Again, just my opinion but I'm done with messing around with clickers etc. I don't think the gauge is anything major either but hopefully it gets figured out. Cheers, Mike
