I had a 1993 626 v6 and it ate its transmission three times before the car was totaled. I didn’t ride in a Tempo but my mom had an ole 92 Taurus wagon where the hatchback turned into 3rd row seating and my brother and I would sit in the back and give drivers the finger. Lmao. This Tempo does bring back memories though. Much love brother! Stay safe.

My parents had an 88 A/T and an 89 5spd in the late 90s. Learned how to drive and got my license in the A/T, and learned how to drive a stick correctly in the 5spd. Yep, at $465 you massively improved that car. Hey, I'm kinda new to your channel but do you reveal the profit on these? I'm always curious if you make money on a car like this.
The crappy Ford transmission ruined my Mazda 626 back in the day. It's the same auto they used on the Tempo. Beware!

Hey Sean,I owned a4door Ford Tempo for 2 years. Only changed the water pump. What a job that was.
the end of video (rain) was absolutely hilarious, we love you Randy !
Those Tempo's will run. Definitely worth a paint job. Tempo looks great! Make a great car for someone.
Yeah, great video and memories. This is the car my children grew up with, from baby seats to high school. 1988 Red GL was $9,999.00 out the door. Keep up the great videos.
Yes! Getting the colt looking good!
You done a great job on the Tempo!
Give the little car more credit there are a lot of people out here that would enjoy owning that car!
Like me!
☝️
I owned a 87 Ford Tempo Coupe. You're right! They are a good fun car.
Blast from the past! Car looks great and I'm glad someone is giving this one a second chance!
I got myself a tempo a little over a year ago and she is so reliable, comfy, cheap to fix, and a gem cause most of these things are dead and gone
My first car in 2001 was a 1992 Mercury Topaz GS 2-Door Aut-slow-matic. It had the 7 spoked alloy wheels, trunk luggage rack and tinted windows. I miss that car so much. My former step dad hit a deer in it one night on his way home from work. Parents junked it since I had moved away. It still had my early 2000s Pioneer speakers and head unit in it :(
honestly, i would LOVE a ford tempo. i think they are awesome little cars and great looking as well. i had a contour, they were the replacement, but they were crap. but i would love that car.
Wow Randy I didn't think I was going to see the day when you took the Tempo to Maaco for a paint job. In my opinion this is one of the sexiest Grandma cars out there
mine had a manual transmission and I loved that old thing.. met its end from a 70's Monte Carlo .. rolled the trunk into the back seat
Since the car was not beat up, it runs fine, looks okay inside and everything works, it’s definitely worth the new paint.....nice video Randy
Oh nice, you're putting some make up on the ol' Tempo! Man, I own one myself (1992 2-door), and I'm in the process of looking for some parts for it (rear crash bar reinforcement - stolen, passenger window regulator and little things here and there). Can't wait to see your Tempo shine bright again! I subscribed at the moment you bought the Tempo, and was waiting for some content about this good ol' car, which can outlast a Corolla with basic maintenance as it is very easy to maintain (my parents owned this Tempo since new, and I've owned it for the past 17 years and runs like a charm).
Live these videos. Keep ‘em coming! As someone else said, rattle can those bits black between the windows. It’s easy - mask, prep and spray.
Hollywood may need a car like this someday to make a movie from the 80's/90's.
It's lovely to see another basic car back on the road thank you Randy for saving them I love those old basic cars that corollas and focus they where so much better made than they are now I love are 05 verso the comfort cannot be bet for a cheap car
Man If I was a Youngster or a small family doing it tough what a great little car that Tempo would make. Ok it's no stunner but good reliable car with reasonable mileage and every thing works.
That paint job just brought it up another level. Randy if it feels right to you just do it. Damn you Keyboard Warriors you just can't leave well enough alone.
This was also my first car. It looks great. I love it. I'd drive it in a heartbeat
Yep, at $465 you massively improved that car. Hey, I'm kinda new to your channel but do you reveal the profit on these? I'm always curious if you make money on a car like this.
Tempo looks great.
