Oh Nichol, These are so beautiful and you are terrific at selling products. Simon Says must be so grateful for you! You sure sell their products to me! Thank you so much, may your holiday season be filled with health, immense joy, love and blessings. You bring joy to my life, especially now during Covid, you give me so much to look forward to. Love and blessings, Teri
I love the thankful for you card & Santa man....love the leaf dies. Amazing details! All of these are just so great! All the ideas this year...not enough time! 😀 thank you!
Whoa! I didn’t even think about foiling the sentiment strip pages!!!! Game changer! I’ve been making foiled Christmas cards and I didn’t love the black printed sentiment strips. Can’t wait to do this!
Wow!! Absolutely gorgeous! And I had no idea that the sentiment strips from Simon were printed with toner ink!! I’m gonna be whipping out my Minc machine!!! 😃
Got my November kit while I was watching this video....Love it. Now I have to buy some more acetate sheets. Love all of your cards. The Believe and Merry Christmas was really beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Wow. You exhausted me just watching you😅. I’m researching which laminator I want and I think I’ve decided it will be the minc. Thanks for all those ideas and information. I appreciate the info and ideas.
Awww Thank you Nichol for this video, I was given a Mini MInc machine for my birthday and I needed to know how to use it especially with acetate sheets which I bought from Simon not long ago. Had no idea that it made a difference which side would actually foil, now I'm excited to use them! Yes, please share more foiling techniques with the Minc machine! You made some beautiful cards!
Wonderful cards Nichol. Thank you so much for showing the acetate sheets. This was exactly the information I was looking for. Very much appreciated. Keep well. T x
I love this video, the cards are absolutely beautiful! I'm not a big fan of foiling but this is awesome! The acetate sheets with the toner make it look so easy, I'm going to have to try foiling using those. The cards, oh my! I can't actually decide on my absolute favorite!
Love all your cards. Hard to suggest anything because I always like what you do. Did wonder if you would be sewing any felt ornaments this year. Always enjoy that, but it makes no difference, since everything is great! I am now going to have to try foiling sentiments and my acetate sheets I bought.
I have the Heidi swamp mini machine and the same thing happened to me some of the foils I tried did not work at all and I had to throw out so much foil it was really a waste. Love your cards always always always !!
These cards are beautiful and yes I would love to see more foiling cards. can you show us foiling without a foiling machine?? Isn't there something to use to do that?? TFS!!!
awesome video. I've heard the white minc foil adheres to acetate even whether there is no toner, some better results on low heat but will never be perfect. it is better for an all over white and then die cut from that.
Love the foiling. I could watch it all day long. The white foiled design looked like it was overfoiled which can be from too much heat or too much pressure. You might want to give the white foil one more try using a heat setting of three as that is the recommended setting for the MInc.
Loved these cards. My mother bought me for a gift years ago the Anna Griffin foiling machine from HSN when they first came out. I was so disappointed that most of the items just didn’t foil well. I put it away because I couldn’t tell if it was the machine or the product. I heard later on that the kind of foil you use makes all the difference. I bought foil and toner items from Tuesday Morning but never used them. I forget I have them. I’m going to break it out tomorrow to see if it works. Fingers crossed.
Your cards are gorgeous. The blue alleluia card is my favorite also. It’s so elegant. I’m really looking forward to getting my kit. When I try to foil the sentiment strips I don’t get good coverage at all so I’ve given up. What am I doing wrong? I don’t have trouble foiling other things.
Is the white a satin or matte finish? If so, put your setting on two, and then run the white through two times. Also, I find I get better results if I put a piece of heavy cardstock under whatever I'm foiling. The white would be beautuful and worth another try.
@Nancy Sperry, fold a piece of typing paper in half to use as a carrier sheet. I don't know what laminating machine you have but whatever you have make sure you heat it up until its really hot...like 20 minutes or so. I would put a piece of cardstock as a shim underneath the acetate. The sandwich would be...back of the typing paper, the shim, the acetate with toner side up, the foil then close the top of the typing paper. Put it through the laminating machine. You may need to play to see if you get good results with putting it through just once, if not put it through again.
Nicole, I have a dumb question😝 Can I reuse the acetate printed sheets repeatedly in the laminator? Or is one sheet only good for one foiling? The cards were gorgeous and I am going to get my Minc out which I haven’t used in a year or more and give it another try. Fun!!!
Those cards are so gorgeous! But if we don't have the toner printing machine how are we going to get the foiling sheets to stick on? Would a normal foiling machine work?
I have a laminator, but, no 'pouch' for foil - what can i use to put the acetate sheets and foil through the laminator - do i need a pouch of some kind. I was thinking ...wax paper ? thank you the cards are simply beautiful. I found the blue cap lid you linked in another video - thank you for that. THanks for sharing your talents. :)
Nancy, use parchment paper, not wax paper. The wax will melt in a laminator. You can buy parchment paper at the grocery store, Walmart, etc. it’s next to the wax paper and inexpensive . I’ve also seen others use plain copy paper, but I’ve never used it myself.

You always make the most perfectly planned, beautiful cards!!!!! I would love to see more techniques on foiling.

All of these are gorgeous cards! I am so glad my November SSS card kit is on its way. Lots of inspiration from you - thank you!

Yes, I have plans to sew up some new and revisit some older felt designs!
Stunning cards Nichol! I would love to see more foiled cards using the Minc rather than the hot foil plates.
Thank you!
I have the Heidi swamp mini machine and the same thing happened to me some of the foils I tried did not work at all and I had to throw out so much foil it was really a waste. Love your cards always always always !!
Try the Deco Foil. I am also going to try several of the tips other viewers have suggested and see if I get better results!
These cards are beautiful and yes I would love to see more foiling cards. can you show us foiling without a foiling machine?? Isn't there something to use to do that?? TFS!!!
Here's a video I did awhile back using foiling and flocking without heat: ruclips.net/video/ei_-utN9-K8/видео.html

I did. I even used setting 2 and it didn't work either.
Love your cards

Good luck! Hope your foiling results were better this time around!
I might have missed it but can u foil on toner acetate withOUT heat ??????

Oh no! I'm not sure. Maybe increase your heat setting? What machine and foils are you using?
@@NicholSpohrLLC I use Decofoil and I’ve tried with my mini Minc and a regular laminator. Do foils expire? Maybe they’re too old. I don’t know.

I used setting 2 off camera with similar results. Wondering if I got a bad roll of foil. Darn!
I have white but never tried it...maybe tonight. I'll let you know if I'm successful, and what brand it is.
do you know how I can put the acetate sheets and foil through a regular laminator ?
@Nancy Sperry, fold a piece of typing paper in half to use as a carrier sheet. thanks so very much! I wrote this down and will try it today !

One acetate sheet is only good for one foiling. Have fun foiling!
WOW!💌
Thank you!
Those cards are so gorgeous! But if we don't have the toner printing machine how are we going to get the foiling sheets to stick on? Would a normal foiling machine work?
These products come printed with toner ink. You simply need a laminator of some kind to get the foil to adhere.
Oh ok, thanks Nichol

Thanks Barb for answering! :)
Try dusting both your foil and paper/acetate before running it through the Minc :)
Great tip!
