Epis is the seasoning of all seasoning 🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹
The Hispanic people we Puerto Ricans call that Sofrito. we use it for stews and many other things
Yes, very similar to how I make my Sofrito. The entire house is filled with love when you start cooking with these homemade seasoning sauces. I also freeze mine in cubes (ice trays) or in a freezer bags when I make a little extra.
I make a large batch and freeze smaller portions.
Cynthia F Yes! That is the best way to go, especially around the holidays.
or African piri piri sauce
Share that recipe for Piri Piri! I would definitely love to try it! 💙✨
I am telling you, Caribbean people are the same yet different. Guyanese people make something similar we call “Green Seasoning “. TFS😘
Yes girl, seasoning, that is what we call it in Barbados. Every Caribbean island makes this. We may call it by a different name, but it is what gives our food flavor, especially fried fish or chicken. Now you got my mouth watering.
I do my epis every 3 months. Good job I use the same ingredients as yours. If you want it to stay longer you can add white or red vinegar 🇭🇹❤️from NJ.
It's so good to see you in the kitchen again, looking for good recipe from you
Yes, epis!! That's how my husband does it and I learned pretty quickly.

Aloha everyone! Okay, Nadia....Girl I made the Epis this morning....Soooooooo so so good! I decided to make the meatballs and the rice as well for our dinner tonight. My daughter and I tested a few meatballs in the air fryer and they are so juicy and flavorful, I only used one egg no extra seasoning. I had to share this you because I haven’t even started the rice yet. I’m über excited about new recipes especially when they’re Caribbean based. I did use the remaining base to marinade ribs for tomorrows dinner. Thank you for sharing this with us, the smells in this house is amazing! Please continue to share more. Mahalo & Aloha

💕💕💕💕💕

🙌🏽 I just made some Epis, using your recipe, sans the green onions. It does smell so good. My Ivorian husband said it smelled like home!

Wayment I missed something; the large container of Badia ? Which seasoning was that?
Definitely a Caribbean custom! The excess we put in the freezer 🇻🇮🇦🇬🇰🇳
That looks so good! And I'm really looking for something to marinate chicken in so it can be kicked up a notch or two. Thanks for filming this and showing how it's done.🙂
Thank you Nadia. I needed this😊 It's so hard to find a good base
Oh! You’re Haitian?! Say less! SUBSCRIBED!!! 🙌🏾😍
Yes I just made mines last week, but I basically put all the greens 🥬 fresh herbs 🌿. A few deseed peppers 🌶 to have the flavor but not the heat. I keep it in the back of fridge is the coolest to keep it’s green color. I call mines green season 😊....

Kenya's Decor Corner its a Caribbean seasoning. Each island put their twist on it taking out or adding a ingredient. It gives your food an extra kick. I add a little curry and cilantro to mine.
