When Fuse founders Peter Decuypere and Thierry Coppens, outgrew the provincial Belgian town of Kuurne, it was Thierry's mother who pointed him towards El Disco Rojo. A Spanish discotheque that used to be a movie theatre, El Disco Rojo was in the Marolles neighborhood of Brussels.
Soon enough, Coppens was throwing hugely popular weekly Techno nights here. Looking to see what the fuss was about, Decuypere paid a visit to his old friend and immediately fell in love with the design of this charming club. Eager to divide the Saturday and Sunday nights between them, they went for it. Not much later, they bought the space, and on Saturday April 16, 1994, ‘Fuse’ was born.

The Fuse, so many memories of that club. I used to go on a semi regular base. Dave Clarke, Rush, Jeff Mills, Adam Beyer,.... the list goes on and on... heard them all there. The atmosphere is amazing there.

I went to the opening evening in 1994... holy shitness .. one of the best evenings.
I liked the interior back then more than now.
Mes meilleurs souvenirs au Fuse ? Trish, Pierre pour son écoute et son ouverture ( on s'était vu l'aprem avant la soirée, à chercher des vyniles, mais c'était avant), Deg et... Une soirée Technasia ! Magnifique personne à qui j'avais pu parler en français ! 👌👍
I was in Brussels last june, what a amazing experience in Fuse and in Atomium (remembering Fronts 242 Headunther´s clip)

Je bent 1 iets vergeten te zeggen, het strenge drugs beleid, wij kwamen van roeselare voor de muziek , terwijl dat iederen naar pecq en Doornik kond gaan. En alles wuk dat zegt is waar❤
Living in America all my life I had a chance to go to Fuse in the 90s it was the Sh_t however there were clubs in Germany and Italy as well that were cutting edge but IMO NEW YORK had the best vibe. Limelight the tunnel the palladium & twilo. Just had to be there to feel it.

The Fuse is a great club, but why to say "the Belgium premier Techno club" when the definition of Electronic Music genres are just about marketing? Again pure marketing?

Charlotte de Witte was a resident at Fuse before she got famous. You can say what you want about her music but she has a history with the place.
Daft punk played also in the fuse before they got famous and without helmet and free
