With you both on the quality, playability and sound of these Seagull guitars. I own the Entourage Rustic and the Entourage Folk Burnt Umber and they are honestly the best I've played and owned out of many acoustic guitars over the years. Great review. Have subscribed.
CH stands for Concert Hall
Absolutely great review.
I found the weakest part of the guitar (I bought a Artist Series CH made with Indian rosewood) was actually the strings that came with it. I replaced the strings with Martin Retro Acoustics custom lights and it made an awesome difference. Unbelievable. It’s now a better sounding guitar than even my Martin 17 series 000 (IMO) which is an absolutely brilliant guitar.
Thanks for the info!
"CH" stands for "Concert Hall" body (not for "cherry).
We love our Godin instruments
Currently
Seagull coastline 12 string
Art& Lutherie Americana
Godin SO
And 2 seagull Merlin's
Can I recommend you team them with treepicks guitar picks from Calgary
I'm a proud owner of just about every guitar they make. I'm presently waiting delivery of a peppino and artist Mosaic ch bourbon burst.
I will take off the tusq and replace nut with a 1.8 and bone compensated saddle
I own an Excursion Wallnut and replaced the saddle with bone . The guitar now has a lot warmer sound , with the Tusq saddle it was terrible bright. Glad someone has done the same.
I need a feedback surpressor asap for my Seagull Acoustic. I'm in SC USA ‼️
Seagull makes nice guitars.
I keep singing seagull woman by the sensational MARC BOLAN....!!!
You have gotta give that tune a blast boys...
how much do I need to shell out...?
I've got 2 nylon Admiras the malaga and the cutaway EVA made from Sycamore, spruce top and ebony fretboard.
who knew Sycamore,a bit of a weed, could be useful.
If Canadian luthiers use native woods, and tusq ,and richlite why can't britons make good use of our native trees?
A brexiteer guitar range to celebrate?!
and no...its not racism!
From poplar, willows aspen birch to cherry, oak, hornbeam, alder ,ash before it goes ...deciduous larch, scots pine...we surely could????
A USP ..
Feel free to spread my brilliant idea...its not copyrighted...somebody out there PLEASE steal my ambitions...I'll buy the first one...discounted of course.
Save the god damn rainforests...from ebony rosewood and sapele loggers.
Ive just imported a Harley Benton from Germany...the import fees new.import fees! were stupid ...EU vengeance???!!!
Just to point out, Godin also owns Norman guitars, equally good quality guitars, I own a B-20-12 and it,s a boomer, 12 strings
Have tried a few Norman's - very nice!
I bought an seagull S6 from a lesbian couple who met me in a coffee shop and we pissed ourselves laughing about the “lesbian seagull” song from Beavis and Butthead. Paid £140 because it had fair bit of cosmetic damage to soft cedar top. Sounded absolutely incredible. Value is amazing and I’ve read it’s to do with the Canadian cedar being right beside the factory.
Aha this story made my day ;)
The cedar is over 800 years old. Mr. Godin doesn't cut the trees down. He only uses ones that have already fallen. They are massive trees. And ancient. The top of your guitar is over eight hundred years old.
