First camping trip this season. What to do about Trouble? We have problems with heat in the RV and then the pipes freeze. But...we make the best of it as always. What do you do when things go wrong? For more videos about RV life check out this video: ruclips.net/video/LF3u2uoIMYk/видео.html
You must be the stunt double for my wife. When I saw you hauling 6 or 7 bags all at once from the back of your Jeep I very nearly started laughing. I suppose we all share many of the same woes with these RV trips. On a side note we were also having trouble with our heater and discovered the sail switch was bad. After replacing it everything seems to work but the blower and ignitor will kick on 6 or 7 times before it turns completely on and runs to the temperature we set it at. I'm beginning to think it may have something to do with the interior thermostat? Anyway, great video. I'm glad I found you guys as your energy and great attitudes are a pleasure to see!
lol....have to have all our stuff 🤣. We glad you found us too! 😊. Hope you figure out what's going on with your heat. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the thermostat. Safe travels!
Oh those camping mishaps that will make you never forget that trip. Lol 😂 That goodness John got the furnace going. This dang weather here in Indiana has been a Rollercoaster. I think Mother Nature is being psycho. Lol. Warm then freezing Severe Thunderstorms and Tornado watches and more. Lol 🤣
I know as things continue to warm up, there'll be less of a need for this but, I used to use a heated electrical wrap on my water supply hose. Also, a series a stands were employed to elevate the hose off the ground. Just a suggestion for next winter. My wife & I developed a check list for consumables that needed to be re-stocked at the end of a trip, so that we could place these items in the rig prior to the start of the trip. Am glad to see you out & about. Will look forward to your upcoming videos.
We were just so exhausted after driving home from Tampa that we did the bare minimum (winterizing, clearing out food) that we didn't even think about a list. But that is an excellent idea! Next time we'll make sure we have some water in the tank too! Thanks for watching and safe travels!
It's funny that you mention packing being stressful, I think that would be the most stressful part of part-timing as well! We're getting ready to drop our rig off for a few weeks and just thinking about what we'll be bringing is making me nervous! Great troubleshooting there, very glad you guys have heat again!
@@AmpedtoGlamp Oh that's fun! There are so many to watch, and an update to the police one uploading now, funny enough! And it's basically returning to get all of the little details fixed from the PDI that were noted. Dents in two doors, trim a little winky here and there, some scratches were noticed, missing water fill door, cracked A-pillar cover, shades needing adjustments and some minor stuff. Thankfully all cosmetic and it should only take about two weeks! 🤞
You guys are doing great even with the heater and frozen pipes. You had a great weekend and that’s what counts in the world of RV. We had a very similar weekend in Williams, Arizona near the Grand Canyon in early December frozen everything. ! Thank goodness for Walmart in an $80 propane space heater to the rescue Thomyt
Good thing John is handy 😊. And, yes, we still had a really good time and are especially grateful that there wasn't any damage to the RV. Oh wow...your RV pipes froze too?
Hey, im sticking up for John. That was no wrong turn, you forced him off the road....lol Crossin my fingers your heat is fixed! Nice, wine with a homemade pizza. Yeah when the spigot freezes, your stuck! we use a heated hose and i wrap the spigot also thinking it won't freeze. I agree, when your not thinking about it, that's when the unexpected sneaks in the back door and gets ya! Well guys it was still a successful camping trip. Very nice looking park, love the heavy wooded parks like this. see ya next time guys!
Great to see you two back in RV mode. 😊 I feel for you guys. One would expect a 6 figure rv would not come with so many problems and quality control issues. 😮 I've never gotten used to the phrase... "Our RV didn't have toooooo many problems when we bought it NEW."🤔🙊🙉🙈 Can't wait for your website and ebook RV-ing cookbook 😉
Feels good to get back to camping! And yes....you'd think at six figures the quality would be better. Uh-oh....better get back to work on those. Also, thinking about a mobile app too!
Take advantage of the seasonal sales at lowes and HD .Small space heaters are on clearance. BTW get some catchmaster mouse traps for the coach bc little bennet is notorious for little freinds.SAFE TRAVELS.
The season is upon us, and I have the fever!! First trip will be VA Beach next month for a week! And then we are planning on a week long trip to the Outer Banks and of course Carolina Pines will be the next trip! Was able to catch a site at Dam Neck on Base. Super excited because we just transitioned from a Class A to a Travel Trailer! I've got my fingers crossed hoping that we won't have any issues!
Moisture in the furnace can effect it’s performance, so it could’ve been a weather related issue. Nevertheless, glad y’all fixed the rig and still had fun in nasty weather. Y’all got that true camper spirit. 🍻
Apparently, sail switches are the most common reason why these heaters fail. They are quite fragile and the slightest amount of dirt will cause issues. How could you not have fun while camping. Wish we could do it more often!
Buy a heating blanket! Best investment for the cold days! I have the exact Bounder you have and live in it full time. I live in B.C. Canada and the winter got really cold this year (-26 Celsius). My sensor stopped working correctly, and it would read 109F when it was only 58F, so the heater wouldn't kick in because the computer was reading over 100F. The trick I had to do was take an ice bag and cover the sensor so the temperature on the computer would go under 100F. So it seems I have a computer software problem because I switched out the sensor and it's still giving wrong reading. I love my Bounder but, like you said too, it's a brand new unit and we shouldn't be having these issues.
Heated blanket is an awesome idea!!!! ❤️. Have you tried rebooting your precision circuits? It's the cause for a lot of problems in our Bounder. Sorry to hear you've had issues too. Can't imagine no heat in weather that cold.
We did our first trip in March. The weather was so beautiful and warm that we thought it's time to go with spring/summer outfits. Only a set of sweats for both just incase. Well the weather change during camping cold very cold. We bought space heater and insulation foam to cover the entrance steps. We kept really warm. Didn't turned the heat on.. Are there blankets or anything to protect the outside plumbing?
Hey @Gimpy Camper. Yup...Sherri reminded me before we left to fill the water but I forgot. 😊. Oh wow! That must be a pain to have to remove the whole furnace.
I actually have a new (sponsored) furnace and an access panel to put in one of these days. Truthfully I got to where I got in the habit of using the tanks more than just hooking the water up
If they cared about the lot they would keep it maintained. Since they don’t keep it maintained they don’t care and saying something will fall on deaf ears.

It’s so great to find a RUclips channel of Marylanders! Love Little Bennett for Girl Scout trips :). The bouncing pillow is always a hit.
We always happy when our neighbors find us. 😊🎉 What part of Maryland are you from?
Thank you guys for taking us along with you! (And for the beautifully edited videos). You guys rock! #Soblessed!
Thanks so much!!

Nice looking campground, pizza looked good too.
Thanks Steve! The campground was nicely wooded with miles and miles of trails.

Nice winter camping 😊 FYI…..please give Trouble a new name, give her a chance to be great!
Thank you! I don't know...Sherri seems pretty set on it.
Thanks for sharing. Seemed like a fun trip!
Love camping with lots of woods! Thanks for watching! And safe travels!
I learned what to do if my heat stop working, thanks john.
Glad to help! We learned about the sail switch at the FL RV SuperShow!

Tricks to prevent frozen pipes open your faucet little bit so its drips and open the grey tanks valves so doesn’t overfill overnight
Very good advice. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks!

Cute couple.

Hey Maureen 👋. Glad you enjoyed the vid!
Yikes! Kind of a rough start to camping season. We lived in our camper in Alaska for pet of a winter. That was a rough one too.

This start to spring has def been wet. We lost heat on our first trip too on the girls trip.
Something always goes wrong the first trip out. Hope you still had a good time. I"m going to have to hop over and check out the vid.

March is a tricky month. 60 degrees one day and 30 the next. I was surprised that the campground didn't protect their water spigot.
Great funny video
Glad you enjoyed it! 😊
Just fill your tank and you won’t have the water issue. At least you have an access panel on the furnace, I have to remove the whole furnace
