THE NATURE TRIP | No-Budget Short Film

Three years ago, in the pandemic, I went into the woods with some friends to make a movie.
THE NATURE TRIP was made with zero budget, simply a gonzo spirit of adventure and enthusiasm, channeling the freedom and spontaneity of our teenage filmmaking days. And now it’s finally out!
The script was inspired by a trip that director David Buchanan and I took to visit Rob Handy at his off-grid forest garden homestead in Somerset. We wanted the film to be a freewheeling, handmade exploration of Rob’s remote rural lifestyle (and our fantasy of escaping our lives in the city)
