It helps me doing the richocet better, thanks👍
Very clear demo I must try it....i must tighten my bow to the maximum to get the bounce when I droop it... So exciting is the ricochet bowing technique.
Have fun!
Wow, best tutorial I've seen!

I've discovered that on A and E it helps a lot to have your violin as flat as possible. Otherwise no help from gravity.
Yes, that's right, that's a good tip! Thank you for posting it!

Hi, Thanks very much for the instruction. What I can't understand is the rhythm of the op45, no40 Wohlfahrt. It sounds as if you're playing triplets. From the way its written I am expecting to play dit, dit dah, ie short short long with the emphasis on the long. Is this a property of ricochet to play it like you and others seem to play?
Please, post your questions to Prof. Ehle on this video's dedicated page: www.virtualsheetmusic.com/experts/todd/ricochet/

Adult learner here, and I'm trying to learn this but it's so hard 😫
I understand your god intentions, but I don't think that you can learn the violin by yourself. There has to be a teacher there telling you what you're doing wrong - many times, people don't notice if they're squeezing with something or having their hand positioned incorrectly.
